Chapter 5315 Eight Divine Daughters

“Long Chen? Alright, just you wait!” Cheng Ye waved his hand, and the group left, leaving the area feeling deste.
Now, only Long Chen and the azure-robed woman remained, thetter staring at him in shock.
She murmured to herself, “Long Chen, Boss Long san, likes wearing ck robes...”
Long Chen was startled. “Are we acquainted?”
The azure-robed woman shook her head and then said, “I don''t know you personally, but I’ve heard of someone with your name. I just don’t know if you’re the Long Chen she spoke of. Can I ask if you know a woman named Tang Wan-er?”
Long Chen’s heart trembled, and he stared at this woman in disbelief, not expecting to hear Tang Wan-er’s name from her.
“I know her. Of course I know her. May I ask where she is?” Long Chen asked, his voice quivering with emotion.
Among all the women he was close to, Tang Wan-er was the one he worried about the most. He understood her deeply—she was like a child, the most dependent on him.
Theirst separation had been hasty. Though Tang Wan-er had shown a bit of her temper back then, Long Chen knew she was hurting inside. She had to have suffered during their time apart. He had wished tofort her, hold her, but hadn’t gotten the chance. Hearing her name now, Long Chen shook slightly.
“You really are the Long Chen she talks about?” The azure-robed woman’s eyes widened with excitement and disbelief.
“Is Wan-er in the Wind God Sea Pavilion?” asked Long Chen.
“Yes, senior apprentice-sister Wan-er is like me. We both came from outside the Destion, but she has be one of the Wind God Sea Pavilion’s divine daughters. She’s the idol of all disciples like me whoe from outside the Destion,” the azure-robed woman replied, her face lighting up when she spoke of Tang Wan-er.
Hearing this, Long Chen’s excitement grew. He hadn’t expected the woman he had just saved to be from the same sect as Tang Wan-er. This meant finding her would be much easier.
Without hesitation, Long Chen took out a healing pill and offered it to the woman. Her injuries weren’t severe, but the sneak attack had temporarily sapped herbat power.
“Is this a top-grade golden pill?” asked the azure-robed woman, shrinking back in fright when she saw the pill that Long Chen took out.
She knew how precious such pills were and had never seen one before. Hence, she didn’t even dare touch it.
“You are Wan-er’s junior apprentice-sister, so you are also the junior apprentice-sister of me, Long Chen. It’s just a little medicinal pill. Don’t worry about it.”
“My injuries will heal in a few days. Using such a rare treasure would be a waste,” the woman replied hastily.
“We don’t have that kind of time. That fellow, Cheng Ye, has likely used something like a soul-chasing incense to mark you. They’ll be back soon, with even more experts,” Long Chen exined.
“No wonder they kept finding me!” the woman eximed.
Clearly inexperienced with this, she quickly grew anxious and eximed, “We should leave right now!”
“Even if we run, we should wait until you’re strong enough to. Hurry up and eat it. We’ll chat as we recover our energy. I really want to know how Wan-er is,” said Long Chen.
Hearing that, the azure-robed woman carefully received the medicinal pill and thanked Long Chen again before consuming it. Immediately, powerful medicinal energy spread through her body, healing her damaged meridians rapidly. She hadn’t even needed to circte her own energy, and her exhausted aura began recovering.
The sensation of healing at such a rate was one she had never experienced before. Just like that, her gratitude toward Long Chen grew immensely.
Finding a rock to sit on, Long Chen started to recover his astral energy as he listened to the woman’s story.
This woman’s name was Qing Xi, and she was actually from the Violet me Heaven. However, her sect was hidden in a minor world and had little contact with the outside world, so before knowing Tang Wan-er, she had never heard of Long Chen or even the High Firmament Academy.
ording to her story, the sect she grew up in was actually a branch left behind by the Wind God Sea Pavilion in the immemorial era. Furthermore, it was an extremely tiny branch.
When the world gate opened, the spatial channel that had been sealed for countless years finally became essible. As the spiritual qi of their minor world was restored, Qing Xi’s entire sect passed through the channel and arrived at the Wind God Sea Pavilion.
Although her sect once had its own name, upon joining the Wind God Sea Pavilion, they were absorbed into its ranks, their identity merging into therger sect. Despite having millions of disciples, her sect was but a small drop in the vast ocean that was the Wind God Sea Pavilion.
With the reopening of the world gate, all the inheritances of the Wind God throughout the nine heavens and tennds flowed to the Wind God Sea Pavilion. Countless sects and experts flocked to the Wind God Sea Pavilion, creating an overwhelming surge in poption. The ce instantly became a bustling hub, bursting at the seams with disciples.
After that, each sect master was assigned various duties within the Wind God Sea Pavilion. This gave them a semnce of status while they integrated their disciples into the sect. Qing Xi’s sect, however, was rtively weak, and their sect master was a mere two-vein Human Emperor. In the end, he only got a small job in the outer sect.
In blunt terms, his role was that of an attendant, a manager of misceneous tasks with little real authority. But this was simply how the Wind God Sea Pavilion operated—positions were based on power and abilities. If an expertcked strength, they had to settle for lower-tier roles, regardless of past prestige. Even a sect master had to start from the bottom here.
As for Qing Xi, though she was a core disciple and a prized genius in her original sect, she found herself reduced to an ordinary outer disciple in the Wind God Sea Pavilion. She wasn’t even qualified to enter the inner sect.
Originally, Qing Xi had high hopes of rising through the ranks in the Wind God Sea Pavilion, but reality was harsh. Having grown up in a different environment, she quickly realized that the native experts of the Wind God Sea Pavilion were on an entirely different level. “Core disciples” like her could be summoned by the handful here.
Even as an outer disciple, she didn’t have time to rx. After passing the outer sect trials, she needed to go out for tempering andplete the Wind God Sea Pavilion’s missions to maintain her status as an outer disciple.
Hertest mission was to hunt down an Emperor-level devil creature on her own, which wasn’t actually difficult for her. However, devil creatures often traveled in packs, making the task a test not only of strength but of intelligence.
It took Qing Xi over two months to find a solitary devil creature. After ying and recording it, she was preparing to return to report her sess when she stumbled upon the Yin Yang Soul Calming Grass. That was where her troubles with Cheng Ye started, and Long Chen knew the rest of the story.
As Qing Xi recounted her situation, the loneliness and disappointment in her voice were unmistakable. This new world had been a devastating blow to her.
“We’re all seen as outsiders by the native disciples, and they look down on us,” Qing Xi admitted, her voice heavy with resignation. “But there’s nothing we can do. We are too weak. Only senior apprentice-sister Wan-er is different. With her immense power, she soared like a shooting star and secured the position of a divine daughter. She''s now one of the eight divine daughters.”
It was only when Qing Xi spoke of Tang Wan-er that light returned to her eyes, her expression brightening noticeably.
