Chapter 161 Undead

    Chapter 161 Undead

Amid the eerie moonlight, the horrific transformation of the lifeless corpses into the living dead unfolded before their horrified eyes. The vige, once peaceful, was now a nightmarish battleground. The undead, driven by a primal hunger, descended upon the nearest living humans with relentless fury. Their first victims were the helpless vigers who had no time to react. The wails of agony and the desperate pleas for help filled the night as the undead tackled and bit their prey, their insatiable hunger leading to gruesome deaths.

"What sorcery is this?!" The brave Saxon cried out in disbelief as he confronted his deceased friend who had now be a grotesque assant. The color drained from his face as he struggled toprehend the horror unfolding before him.

"Urghh, he bit me!" he eximed, his voice trembling with fear and pain.

In a desperate attempt to defend himself, the man pushed the struggling creature away and thrust his sword into its chest. But to his shock and horror, the undead remained undeterred. It did not flinch, nor did it exhibit any signs of pain. The de, despite its lethal intent, seemed incapable of stopping the creature. It continued its relentless advance, ready to deliver another deadly bite. It was only when n''s de severed the creature''s head from its shoulders that it finally ceased its terrifying assault.

"Aim for their heads for a lethal attack," n''smand cut through the chaos, sparking urgency.

The chaos around them escted as the situation grew more dire by the second. demonstrating quick thinking, promptly rallied the Saxons to regroup and prepare for the imminent battle.

"These things!! They are everywhere!!" The urgency in their cry was mirrored in the widening eyes of theirrades. The relentless advance of the undead had created an atmosphere of terror that seemed to suffocate them.

"You are American, aren''t you? Let''s fight together!" Said the Thand yer to n. It was a simple but resolute proposal that held the promise of survival in this nightmarish ordeal.

n''s nod was the unspoken pact of alliance, amitment to face the impending horrors together. He swiftly took charge and directed them to take a defensive stance in front of one of thergest stone houses within the vige.

"Create a shield wall!" n''s voice boomed like thunder. The Saxons, stirred by his authority, sprang into action, forming not one, but three shield walls, with each row of yers finding their ce in the gaps between.

"Don''t let them through! Stop them!" n''smands were a lifeline in the chaos, guiding their actions with precision.

A group of a hundred strong, prising yers and Saxons, a unified front, readied themselves for the harrowing confrontation against a horde of over two hundred undead.

Two distinct kinds of undead marauded the vige. Some were born from the ranks of the once-peaceful civilians, while others had once been valiant Saxons. Despite a noticeable reduction in their agility, these undead retained a frenzied aggression that was deeply troubling for both the Saxons and the yers.

Their primary advantage, however,y in their remarkably resilient health points. If not struck in the head, these zombies exhibited an almost supernatural endurance. Their robust constitution made them formidable adversaries in this grim battle.

"Shoot them!" Robs, a stalwart leader among the yers, issued the order. His voice was a call to action, and his group of yers, armed with rifles and pistols, unleashed a torrent of gunfire upon the advancing horde. The deafening roar of gunfire filled the night, and the sharp stato of bullets rang out repeatedly. But despite the relentless hail of bullets, it took an astounding 5 to 8 rounds to stop just one undead.

During those precious moments of reloading, n, demonstrating unyielding resolve, leaped into the fray. Swiftly, he moved among the undead, his de dancing through the air, decapitating more of the advancing abominations.

However, as the undead pressed forward with relentless determination, the shield walls began to give way.

"These monster!! they are too strong!!!"

As the survivors grappled with the relentless onught, they could hardly fathom that their situation might deteriorate further. But to their shock and despair, it did. Emerging from the surrounding woods came dozens more undead. Among this new wave of abominations were the civilians who had met a grisly fate within the forest, victims of the Saxon massacre.

Panic rippled through the ranks of both the Saxons and the yers. The scale of the impending catastrophe weighed heavily upon them, and fear gripped the hearts of those who had managed to hold on until now.

"Please help me. I don''t have 10,000 points. Don''t let me die!" A desperate plea rang out amid the chaos, but it only seemed to magnify the fear and desperation that gripped the other yers.

Seeing one of the Saxons pulled into the ravenous mob of undead, like a piece of meat, and be torn apart, only deepened the dread that had taken hold.

"n, I can''t keep wasting my ammunition. We need to get out of here!" Robs, a former police officer and leader of the military group raised his voice in desperation. He found a gap in the undead''s ranks and saw it as a chance. Determined to escape from disaster, he fired his rifle and led his group toward the opening in the horde.

"Don''t go out!" n''s urgent plea resonated through the night, but the desperation had grown too overwhelming.

The desperate few who decided to make a run for it were not only endangering their own lives but inadvertently creating a bigger breach in the defenses, jeopardizing the survival of those who remained. As they sprinted towards the perceived escape route, a chorus of footfalls echoed through the vige, marking the opening they had left behind.

In the midst of this chaotic scramble, n was left to hold the line on his side, facing a relentless wave of undead. One Thand yer, however, showcased remarkable skill and courage. With a disy of martial prowess, they executed powerful kicks and wielded a saber with one hand to single-handedly guard the vulnerable gap in the defenses.

"Bill, cover this side!" n''smanding voice rang out as he prepared to give chase to Robs, who was leading the ill-fated escape. His heart raced with the urgency of the situation. However, before he could reach them, the relentless undead descended upon Robs and his group of friends.

"n, SAVE ME!!"Robs'' desperate cries for assistance pierced the night, but it seemed as though their fate was sealed.

n swiftly invoked his newfound skill, [Swift de]. His de danced through the air, and with lightning-fast strikes, he dispatched two of the undead assants. A powerful shove sent a few more stumbling back. However, in the midst of the chaos, he quickly realized that Robs had already sumbed to the relentless assault.

"Urgh!!" n''s anguished exmation was a testament to the frustration and despair of the moment.

The grim reality was that Robs was not the sole casualty. These yers had ced undue reliance on their firearms, and once seized by the undead, they found themselves defenseless and at the mercy of the relentless horde.

"Get back!! Get back!" n''s urgentmands echoed through the night as he fought desperately to save as many as he could. However, the odds were stacked against them. The relentless assault of the undead had already taken its toll, and many of the yers were overwhelmed and pummeled by multiple attackers. The realization that some of theirrades were lost to the relentless undead was a heavy burden to bear.

A mere moment after n managed to retreat back to the defensive line, a chilling transformation took ce.

The corpses of Robs and four fallen yers were absorbed into the ranks of the undead, merging with their assants and transforming into something even more menacing.

Eyes aglow with an eerie green light, and with cracks appearing across their once lifeless bodies, they now exuded a ghastly green aura. The transformation wasplete, and they were reborn as a new threat:

    [Ghouls]

    [Type: Inhuman]

    [Rank: D]

The appearance of these ghouls marked a sinister turning point in the battle. Their presence, with their eerie, otherworldly green aura, added a newyer of dread to an already nightmarish confrontation.
