Chapter 249: His Team Is Under Attack

Chapter 249: His Team Is Under Attack

"That might work," the mayor said, "but thest time I, Anna, asked for such a quest I had to pay a very hefty price for that."

Bloom''s heart fell when he heard that. "How much would this cost me?" he asked while gazing at Tondel who had a big grin over his face.

"At least a million gold coins," Anna said after a moment of pause.

"A million?!!" even for Bloom this was an extravagant price.

"Indeed it''s quite pricey," she warned, "for me it might rival the total price of buying thend and preparing the materials and hiring the workers"

She started listing a long list of requirements that would take another million off his pocket. "So you are saying I''ll have to prepare two million gold coins to be able to build the guild?" he asked after she finished.

"At least," Tondel viciously said, "so crawl back and drop this dream of yours. If I were you," he said like he was honestly advising him, "I''d offer this token to the auction here and gain decent gold coins back."

Bloom noticed the shimmering in Anna''s eyes. "No, thanks," he stretched his hand and took the token back, "I''d prefer to use it and build my guild."

"Then see you at level fifty," Tondel said beforeughing, "wait, even at level fifty you won''t be able to gather all this sum make it level hundred then," heughed even happier while Bloom red at him and he decided he wouldn''t dy to gather the necessary coins fast.

After all he had the means to gain many high leveled gears and the item to break them down into gold coins and materials.

After breaking down ten gears he had in his inventory he had now around five hundred thousand gold coins, and a lot of materials that he put the finest grades in at the auction.

And now all he had to do was to go in a spree of caravan snitching quests.

"However," he muttered to himself while standing alone inside the central za here, "which vige should I start with? Or a town?"

He nced around and decided to not touch this ce. "It''s not wise to be the viin inside your own town," he muttered before heading towards the nearest stall where he could buy tickets from there.

"How can I serve you?" the NPC standing inside asked, "Do you want tickets to this town?"

"No," Bloom shook his head, "I want tickets to others."

"Which one?" the NPC asked, "for each town other than here you''d need to pay a hundred gold coins for one."

Bloom sucked in cold air of breath. The cost for a single ticket was standard one gold coin, and when he bought tickets to other viges he only paid ten times this cost.

And now he was asked to pay one hundred folds, which was something strange in his opinion.

"Alright, gimme a hundred tickets to a hundred towns," Bloom said calmly like he was asking for street cabbage.

"This" the NPC''s face shone brighter, "are you sure? This will cost you ten thousand gold coins."

"I can cover up such a cost," he shrugged, "now bring me the map and let me select those towns."

He didn''t select towns near each other but those situated far from each other. He didn''t want his reputation to be known in certain locations, and nned for this to look like random attacks.

"This one, and this one" he kept selecting the towns and when he hit the hundred he stopped as the map vanished.

"These are the tickets for the towns you selected," the NPC took out a hundred ticket and put them on the counter, "now please pay."

"Here," Bloom paid the price and stored away all the tickets but one.

However, before he could use it to go to that town, a distress call came all of sudden from Antoan.

"Help," Antoan was running in an open ce that looked like any leveling map, "Dockrey sent a team of ten thousand yers to ambush us and now we are running to escape."

Bloom''s eyes changed when he heard this. "What level are you at?" he asked before exining more, "above twenty?"

"Indeed," Antoan answered in a strange way.

"Wait a minute," he said before turning around and bought a hundred tickets for this town in no time. "I''ve sent you the tickets use them ande here at once."

"This" Antoan nced at the ticket before adding, "are you sure? The towns are famous for their brutal leveling grounds and monsters."

"Juste," Bloom sighed, "I''ll wait for you now."

"Alright," Antoan closed the call while Bloom sighed. "Ten thousand yers I need to hasten my efforts and prepare the money."

He went towards the central za and there he found some of his teams shing before appearing one after another. Bloom waited for a couple more minutes before everyone gathered.

And their faces told him exactly how dejected they were.

"Sorry boss," one of the yers said before Antoan arrived, "we can''t beat this huge number of yers."

"No problem," Bloom smiled in confidence, "soon we''ll be able to rival them."

"Their boss pays a lot of money to gather those, can we do the same?" another yer asked.

"Paying money won''t guarantee loyalty," Antoan said the moment he arrived as he heard his man''s words.

"But this won''t be a fair game anymore."

"It''s not from the beginning," Bloom calmly said before adding, "let''s go, I''ll level up with you here before heading to do some quests."

He didn''t risk sending them off to the leveling grounds simply like this. He knew how fierce the monsters here were, as he fought with them already.

"Shouldn''t we focus on attracting more yers?" a yer in the team expressed what others had in mind.

"In time," Bloom calmly said before adding, "but the most important thing now is to make you all hit level twenty-five."

    "For what?" Antoan asked.
