《Evolve into a Dragon after Surviving a Nuclear Blast》 Chapter 1 Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio ¡°Eh, didn¡¯t I die in a car accident? Where am I now? Why am I feeling so dizzy!¡± Gray was muttering and looking around him. He found himself in an unfamiliar forest. ¡°What is this? It hurts!!!¡± ¡°Rumble!¡± A sudden resounding sound came from afar, echoing throughout the entire world. Gray looked towards to the sound, and a mushroom-shaped cloud was actually blooming between heaven and earth. Heat waves formed by endless fiery red light and blaze swept over and erupted instantly. Its power was so great that even the clouds in the sky were overthrown by the heat waves. And they cracked all of a sudden. ¡°Rumble, rumble¡.¡± Explosions continued to ring out. The shock waves of the heat waves visible to the naked eyes turned into a string of life-threatening amulets, destroying all lives in the world. It also buried all lives nearby this area. ¡°Did we succeed?¡± ¡°Under such a level of nuclear weapon attack, it¡¯s impossible for any living thing to survive. It should be a success¡¡± Countless people stared at the scene of explosions on the screen and voiced their doubts. Some of them even broke out in sweat, as if they were experiencing some great pressure. It was simply because¡ after 1945, they had once again used the most terrifying weapon in human history, the nuclear bomb. Humans who had gone through systematic learning would know how destructive a weapon like the nuclear bomb was, and how terrifying the problem would be after it was used. The five permanent countries of the United Nations had unanimously voted to launch nuclear weapons to destroy an island. The reason why they had to use nuclear weapons to destroy an island was because¡ For some unknown reason, the world had suddenly changed tremendously and started to revive. Some countries had already discovered that the island was no longer under their control. In just half a month, the genetic mutation of some wild beasts had already exceeded the imagination of all humans. Even the saber-toothed tiger, which had been extinct for millions of years, had suddenly revived and appeared on the small island. More importantly, this isolated island seemed to have appeared out of thin air. Countless mutated wild beasts had adapted to the existence of the sea at a terrifying rate, and they were even marching towards the land and other islands. Simply put, this island seemed to be the source of the spiritual energy recovery, and it was beginning to develop in an indescribable direction. The rate of development was extremely terrifying. In just a few days, the creatures on this island had completed tens of millions of years of evolution for the original creatures on Earth. According to the news from the United States, just five days after this unknown island appeared, a monster that could resist rocket launchers had appeared in a certain state. There was even a mythical monster that had a pair of wings that covered the sky, sharp limbs, and shiny black skin. It was just like the gargoyles in Norse mythology that had rushed to the coastal areas and destroyed half of the town. This disaster had resulted in tens of thousands of casualties and billions of dollars in property losses. Therefore, the higher-ups of the United Nations did not hesitate, or did not dare to hesitate, to gather together for the supreme conference on this small island. In the end, they unanimously decided to release a nuclear bomb to destroy this unknown island. Nuclear weapons were the taboo weapons of mankind, and they were also the most terrifying weapons. With an unstoppable momentum that could destroy the world, they announced their position as the overlord of the world to the countless mutated beasts and others. As long as these mutated beasts could not resist the nuclear weapons with their bodies, then mankind¡¯s position at the top of the food chain would not waver. However, at this time, what the higher-ups of mankind did not know was that just as they were determined to destroy this island with nuclear weapons, a terrifying change occurred somewhere. The pain, the heart-wrenching pain, instantly enveloped Gray. Gray¡¯s body seemed to be torn into pieces of flesh, and the pain spread throughout his entire body. It was like a feeling that humans could not endure. Instead of surviving, it was better to die a quick and painless death. However, what made Gray even more uncomfortable was the continuous burning sensation in the air, causing his lungs to burn. ¡°It hurts! What the hell is going on?!¡± ¡°Roar!!!¡± Gray woke up from his coma once again, and the roar of a wild beast came out of his mouth. It was not a language that he was familiar with, and it was not a sound that a human could make. It was more like the roar of a wild beast. ¡°What¡¯s going on? Why am I making such a sound?¡± In the midst of his confusion, Gray finally opened his eyes with much difficulty. A pungent smog filled the air, and there was an obvious smell of burnt meat. Could it be that an asteroid had hit Earth? A casual thought popped out in Gray¡¯s mind. He looked around and found that there were no earthquakes or flying rocks. There were only the remaining terrifying temperature and¡ the inexhaustible flames. No, that¡¯s not right¡ Gray¡¯s pupils slowly focused on one point. He noticed that there were countless charred corpses on the ground in front of him. The smell of roasted meat was coming from these corpses. Beside the corpses, there was mournful howl. It was like a beast trapped in a desperate situation. The final cry and struggle had an indescribable sense of desolation. And these charred corpses were actually lizard-like creatures. Yes, very large lizards. If Gray¡¯s guess was correct, the largest reptile lizard known to exist on Earth should be the Komodo dragon. ¡ ¡°Wait, don¡¯t tell me that if I appear here, it means that I¡ ¡± A casual thought flashed through Gray¡¯s mind. Raising his hand, he saw that the arm was as black as the corpse out there. No, this deformed thing shouldn¡¯t be called an arm, but a giant claw like the Komodo lizard. ¡°Did I get it right¡¡± Enduring the pain, Gray slowly crawled toward the small puddle a meter away. Just as he was afraid, he had turned from a complete human into a Komodo lizard! The largest lizard in the world. However, there was no time for Gray to sigh and be shocked. The more intense the pain, the more it felt like it was going to tear him apart. The feeling of his life being on the verge of passing away made Gray smell the scent of death. Even if he had become a lizard, living happily was an extremely rare luxury for him. If he was reborn, so be it. If he was reborn as a lizard, he would accept it. But he was actually on the verge of death. This d*mn god, were you sincerely trying to make things difficult for me?! He raised his head and let out a long sigh. What he let out wasn¡¯t the roar of a lizard, but more like the roar of some ancient creature. However, at this moment, the smell of meat from afar once again reached him. Looking at the pitch-black corpses not far away, an indescribable sense of hunger suddenly welled up in his heart. Looking at the pitch-black corpses in the distance one after another, Gray couldn¡¯t help but swallow his saliva. Hunger, a feeling that was even worse than the pain from before, couldn¡¯t help but surge out. His body was completely out of his control. It was as if the survival instinct of a living creature drove Gray to crawl step by step towards the charred corpses. In the end, he finally arrived in front of a turtle, and then¡ He slowly opened his huge mouth that had a strong biting force. One after another, cracking sounds came out of his mouth. With a crisp sound of being roasted, the roasted meat that emitted the smell of burning lizards had already entered his stomach. However, at this moment, a sudden electronic synthesis sound suddenly sounded in Gray¡¯s mind. ¡°Ding Dong, you are currently devouring the flesh and blood of a level 3 mutant turtle, obtaining +10 evolution points.¡± ¡°What! ?¡±A sudden exclamation sounded out, although it was a roar¡ it expressed the shock in Gray¡¯s heart. Having read countless books in his previous life, he naturally knew that this was the golden finger that most transmigrators must possess! Chapter 2 Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio Electronically synthesized sound, evolution points, all sorts of signs were indicating one thing. Could this be? Before Gray could think further, another cold system notification sounded by his ear. ¡°Ding dong, it has been detected that the host has been exposed to nuclear radiation and is on the verge of death. Begin the compulsory evolution repair, consuming 10 evolution points¡¡± As soon as the system notification sounded, Gray felt an unknown energy surging from within his body to his entire body. His mind was shaken by this energy. Gray felt a sharp pain that surpassed the previous nuclear explosion¡¯s pain corroding his entire body. It was as if countless poisonous snakes and ants were continuously gnawing at his body, and the bones and muscles in his body were emitting a crackling sound. It was like the sound of a hundred cannons at the same time in the human language.. However, something even more terrifying was happening. Under the help of the system¡¯s power and the power of the island location, the body that had been burnt by the explosion started to produce new flesh buds. Moreover, what was even more terrifying was that his body continued to expand at a speed visible to the naked eye. Yes, you¡¯re right, it was expanding non-stop! While Gray was in a daze, his body actually underwent a very shocking change in front of the puddle. This kind of unnatural scientific change was enough to make Gray, who was previously a human, tremble in fear. An unimaginable vitality revived his entire body, and the entire lizard Gray seemed to have been reborn. Gray, who had completed his evolution, felt that his brain was continuously trembling with joy. That feeling was better than doing anything else. His brain¡¯s dopamine had reached its peak. ¡°Roar!¡± A sudden roar reverberated in this lifeless world. The one who had let out the roar was a ferocious four-meter-long lizard. It stepped on the ground and continuously let out a roar that no other lizard on Earth could make. ¡°Is this the feeling of evolution? It¡¯s indeed delightful!¡± Gray exclaimed. ¡ In the blink of an eye, night fell quietly. An extraordinary strong Komodo dragon had arrived at a lake polluted by nuclear radiation. Although it was a lake, it had long been buried by the dust caused by the explosion. However, through Gray¡¯s unremitting efforts, he finally found a corner that was exposed more than five meters away. It wasn¡¯t that Gray was thirsty, but he wanted to see what how he actually looked like after his evolution. Finally arriving at the lakeside, Gray slowly lowered his head and looked at the corner that was exposed. What greeted his eyes was a ferocious and huge lizard. The dark brown horny skin seemed to be the result of a new life, giving off a cold texture. It had a tail that was as long as its body, and a ferocious big mouth with dozens of serrated sharp teeth. As for the body, it didn¡¯t look like an ordinary Komodo dragon. The current Gray was more like a new species. Gray looked at himself in the water, his whole body exuding a fierce aura. It was a little scary. Gray didn¡¯t know if it was an illusion, but he clearly felt that after his evolution, he was obviously different from other Komodo dragons! Especially that pair of soul-stirring and awe-inspiring eyes. It was impossible for a lizard to have those eyes. It was more like some kind of¡ A moment of speculation, like a seed, planted in Gray¡¯s heart. For a moment, Gray was silent. He let go of those imaginary speculations in his mind. Instead of thinking about those nonsensical speculations, it was better to think about how he could live better in the future. The most important thing now was to adapt to this new lizard body and identify the geographical environment he was in. ¡ ¡°I must have turned into a lizard. The world I¡¯m in now is very likely the same world as the Blue Planet previously. Or rather, to be more precise, it¡¯s actually like the same world.¡± Murmurs after murmurs, what came out were indeed the roars of the monsters. Gray¡¯s face revealed a hint of affirmation. The reason why he could come to such a conclusion so quickly was because he saw the billboard not far away. He slowly raised his eyes and looked at a billboard not far away that had been shattered due to the shockwave of the explosion. The words written on it caused Gray¡¯s snake pupils to shrink slightly. They were the words of the Blue Planet of the United States in his previous life. ¡°The Komodo giant lizard is the largest lizard known to exist on Earth¡¡± The introductory words revealed an obvious fact. He might be in a tourist park in Indonesia, a scenic spot where the Komodo giant lizard lived. ¡°Phew¡¡± Gray exhaled deeply and raised his head to look at the dusty sky and the scorched earth. A guess appeared in Gray¡¯s mind. Could this place really be on an unknown island in Indonesia? Moreover, the seemingly end of the sea from afar, had further confirmed Gray¡¯s guess. ¡°So, something uncontrollable happened on this island. Why would such an island be razed to the ground by the United State?¡± ¡°And¡¡± After a moment of silence, Gray looked towards the center of the island. There were carcasses of animals everywhere and an unfathomable pitch-black hole. To confirm his guess, Gray used his mouth to pick up a rock and threw it in. This huge hole that was hundreds of meters in diameter was bottomless. As for the surroundings of the huge hole, it was more like it had been vaporized. It was hard to imagine, and even unable to imagine, that a small island of dozens of kilometers would be razed to the ground. Even all the living things on the island were wiped out. Only the carcasses of animals that were pitch black¡ as well as the remaining wild beasts that were on the edge of the nuclear explosion let out desperate roars. Perhaps this was what the Apocalypse was talking about. ¡°This isn¡¯t natural. It should be done by humans.¡± For some reason, Gray vaguely confirmed this idea. Putting aside the possibility of a meteorite hitting the ground, other than human technology, nothing else could do such a thing. However, at this moment, it didn¡¯t seem like it was the time to make a hasty judgment, There was no further information that could provide him with ideas. Moreover, the most important thing right now was to fill his stomach. Chapter 3 Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio There was plenty of time left for him to explore. What he needed to do now was to figure out the terrain of the remaining islands and to hunt. That¡¯s right, hunting and eating. Since the evolution, Gray, who had just eaten the turtle carcass, was once again hungry. Moreover, he didn¡¯t know if it was due to the mutation and evolution, Gray starved exceptionally fast. It was as if he couldn¡¯t eat his fill no matter how much he ate. Until now, in just a few hours, he had already eaten five times. Of course, it was worth mentioning that after eating five times, Gray¡¯s evolution points had also increased from 0 to 20. Thinking up to this point, Gray constricted his eyes. ¡°Rumble..¡± A rumbling sound was heard. A blue system interface appeared in his retina: [ Host: Gray Race: mutated Komodo giant lizard Level: Level 3 Evolution Points: 20 Ability: Bite: the sharp teeth after evolution are enough to tear apart the muscles and defense of most creatures. Sharp claws: a sharp claw that can attack in an instant. It can be completed in a second. Tail swing: use its thick tail that is as long as its body to swiftly whip the enemy. Venom: the innate venom of the Komodo lizard race. The venom is even more powerful. It can poison a buffalo to death in an hour. ] It was a simple yet detailed panel. Of course, if one looked carefully, one would definitely notice that there was a button called ¡°strengthening¡± at the bottom right corner of the panel. ¡°System, help me open the strengthening panel.¡± With a murmur, Gray noticed that the blue screen in front of him started to shake, followed by another blue screen that was popping out. [ Strengthened claw (level 3) : the claw is a terrifying weapon of the Komodo race. With every strengthening, it can make the claw sharper (cost: 30 evolution points). Strengthened scale armor (level 3) : it has its innate weapon, and naturally, it has its innate defense equipment. It can harden the scale armor covering its body so that it becomes more difficult to destroy (cost: 30 evolution points). Enhanced Venom (level 3) : it can make the innate venom more lethal. Even a huge African elephant will find it difficult to withstand it. It will die in less than half an hour (cost: 30 evolution points). Strengthened body (level 3) : it can strengthen the entire body, including bones and muscle tissues. It can make one¡¯s body undergo a qualitative transformation. Not only will it increase one¡¯s strength and speed, but it will also greatly increase one¡¯s flexibility and durability (cost: 300 evolution points). ] This attribute panel was something that Gray had gained by accident when he was adapting to his new body. Through this panel, Gray was able to systematically observe his body¡¯s condition. He had even found the path that he needed to strengthen and evolve from this panel. The strengthening panel allowed Gray to rely on evolution points to continuously strengthen his body and continuously become stronger¡ Therefore, this evolution point was naturally the most important thing. Right now, he only had 20 evolution points, which was not enough for him to activate the most basic first strengthening. When he had accumulated 30 evolution points, he would attempt the first strengthening to verify the conjecture in his mind. ¡°I must obtain more evolution points. Constantly hunting and changing is a good thing!¡± Gray muttered in his heart as he quickly determined his new goal. As for adapting to his new body and other things¡ Ever since his last evolution, he seemed to have already instinctively adapted to this mutated lizard body. He didn¡¯t know if it was the power of the system or the body¡¯s instincts that made his control of this body ridiculously fast. The only thing that made Gray a bit sad was that he was reborn as a Komodo lizard. Moreover, it was a mutated lizard. But forget it. After being reborn, he knew that life was precious. Now, no matter what he became, he had to work hard to survive. If he had time to worry about whether he was a human or an animal, he might as well find more food to fill his stomach and collect evolution points. Thinking of this, Gray took a step and quickly crawled towards the pitch-black corpse not far away. ¡°Kacha, kacha.¡± A pair of sharp teeth continuously tore the already cooked corpse of the animal, easily tearing its flesh and bones. At the next moment, the bite muscles exerted force, and Gray bit and swallowed both the flesh and bones. ¡°Ding-dong, you are devouring the flesh of a mutated wild boar. You have gained 10 evolution points¡¡± It was the same cold tone as before, causing Gray¡¯s body to tremble. This evolution point had come so easily. In just 10 minutes, he had gained another 10 evolution points. Now, he had gathered 30 evolution points. It was time to see the changes that these evolution points could bring. However, the most important thing now was to find a safe shelter and spend the night. Thinking of this, Gray found a collapsed boulder and slowly crouched down. This huge boulder perfectly covered his four-meter-long body. After making preparations, Gray looked at the light blue attribute panel on his retina and thought to himself, ¡°System, I choose to spend 30 evolution points to evolve my sharp claws.¡± Just as he finished speaking, the system¡¯s cold notification sounded: ¡°Host, are you sure you want to use 30 evolution points to strengthen your sharp claws?¡± ¡°Yes, I¡¯m.¡± Gray nodded his head in acknowledgment. Suddenly, his body trembled. As the saying went, 10 fingers were connected to the heart. A piercing pain came from the sharp claws on his two forelimbs. He could not help but let out a series of roars to vent his pain. ¡°Roar!¡± The terrifying roar, made this quiet and lifeless surrounding tremble. Chapter 4 Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio Following that¡ ¡°Prickle, prickle¡¡± Amidst the crisp sounds of flesh being pierced, Gray saw his front claws continuously grow longer. If the length of his Level 3 claws before evolution was only a dozen centimeters, it had reached a terrifying 20 centimeters after evolution. What was even more frightening was that a faint light that only belonged to heavy metals was actually circulating on the sharp claws. One could see how sharp the claws were. Gray felt that his claws had a metallic texture. They were ice-cold and hard. The color of the claws made one¡¯s heart palpitate. ¡°Although it is indeed very painful, it doesn¡¯t seem to be a loss.¡± Gray raised his right claw and smacked forward all of a sudden. ¡°Bang.¡± An extremely obvious sound of shattering rang out in his ears. An immeasurably deep crack had appeared on the smooth and neat surface of the giant rock that provided his rest. He carefully examined it and found the crack on the surface of the rock revealing a cut that was like a mirror. ¡°It¡¯s actually so sharp¡¡± Gray¡¯s widened eyes slightly trembled, and he couldn¡¯t help but be stunned. This was the power of a strengthened claw by one level? What if he strengthened it to Level 10? Then after strengthening his scales, his venom, and his entire body, which required 10 times more evolution points to strengthen, what kind of qualitative leap would it bring him after strengthening? After a moment of silence, Gray sank into deep thought. He was probably no longer an ordinary mutated Komodo lizard. Ordinary mutations were chaotic and weird. He didn¡¯t know if he was developing towards a good or bad direction. But now, under the guidance of the system, his mutation trend was benign and yet terrifying. But from the claws that could easily tear through boulders, how could an ordinary Komodo lizard have such sharp claws? Moreover¡ The more Gray looked at it, the more he realized how terrifying the claws were. Gently, like a human clenching his fist tightly, Gray found that his claws were as flexible as his fist. Silently¡ The metal-like claws had already sunk into Gray¡¯s body. There was something unspeakably strange inside. However, the next moment, a sound piercing the air came from Gray. It was as if the air was being torn apart, and a white wave of air swept out. And under the huge wave, a flash of cold light pierced through one¡¯s soul. The sharp claws actually shot out together with the whistling sound of the wind. It was incredibly shocking. At this speed, an ordinary wild beast wouldn¡¯t even have the chance to react before being split into two by his sharp claws. Gray couldn¡¯t help but secretly rejoice. The law of survival in the animal world had long been engraved in his bones. Certainly the stronger he was, the better. However, at this moment, when Gray turned his gaze to the attribute panel in the air, he noticed that there was a change in the strengthening panel. [Strengthened claws (level 4): The claws have undergone successive mutations and evolutions. They have a metallic texture. Not only can they expand and contract freely, they can also silently shoot out like sharp blades (cost 40 evolution points).] ¡°Is this the strength of Level 4 claws¡¡± While muttering, Gray looked at the changes in the strengthening panel. Other than the Level 4 claws, the rest were all still at Level 3. This should mean that the claws had been strengthened or mutated four times. Moreover, after the claws had evolved to Level 4, the evolution points required were actually as much as 40 points. ¡°From the looks of it, doesn¡¯t this mean that the evolution points required for each subsequent strengthening will slowly increase?¡± After giving it some thought, Gray also had some guesses. Moreover, at this time, his guesses could be even bolder¡ Could it be that when he had strengthened his sharp claws, scales, venom, and body to Level 4, then he would step into the threshold of a Level 4 creature and become a true Level 4 mutated creature? Of course, this was only Gray¡¯s current direction of deduction. As for the specific situation, it still depended on the results of the practice. After all, experiment was the only criterion to test the truth. Thinking of this, Gray no longer felt sleepy. Looking at the charred mutated creatures lying on the ground one after another not far away, his eyes revealed endless anticipation. In Gray¡¯s opinion, these were evolution points that could be bought for free. After all, who wouldn¡¯t like something that was bought for free? ¡ It was late at night. Just as Gray was in the depths of the island, keeping adapting to his newly evolved body and starting to explore the evolution points¡ A rhythmic and loud roar came from afar. ¡°Boom¡¡± Accompanied by a huge roar, several black and huge helicopters broke through the clouds in the sky and flew rapidly towards the island. At this time, if Gray was present and carefully observed the helicopters, he would definitely be able to discover that these were not ordinary civilian helicopters, but rather the military helicopters of the United States. Rattlesnake missiles were hanging, one after another, on the two wings of the helicopter. They were waiting for an opportunity to move¡ And sitting in the helicopter¡ one figure after another, they were covered entirely in white protective clothing, sitting quietly in their seats. They were like vipers waiting for an opportunity to strike. ¡°Gentlemen, trust you have already received our missions, which is to follow the Doctor¡¯s instructions to retrieve the experimental materials and collect the soil data.¡± ¡°Understood, Sir¡¡± Amidst the unanimous response, the cold metal that was quietly leaning against the white figure¡¯s arms were also shocking the surrouding. It was a gun, a proper military gun used by the United States. Judging from these guns, it was obvious that they were all elite soldiers. Moreover, they were fully armed elite soldiers. Not far away from these soldiers, in the corner of the armed helicopter, some young girls were curled up in the corner. Their hair was white and curly which did not match with their age. After all, they had passed by the earth which had been baptized by nuclear weapons. Even with this thick layer of anti radiation suit, the deadly radiation was worrying. Without seeing for themselves, it was difficult for them to ensure that the nuclear weapons would be effective to the greatest extent. And there was plenty of intergenerational data which could be used for research. It was all waiting for the team to collect it. Chapter 5 Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio Days kept passing and time flew swiftly. During these few days, in the depths of this island that had been baptized by the nuclear bomb, a ferocious beast was crouching by the lake. ¡°Huff¡¡± That rhythmic sound of breathing¡ As he was breathing in and out, Gray could clearly feel that this body of his was becoming stronger and stronger bit by bit. ¡°There¡¯s something wrong with this island!¡± While he was mumbling, Gray could also sense that something was wrong with the island. In a trance, an unknown supernatural force was constantly strengthening his body. This feeling made him very happy, and made his body even stronger. And this unknown force, according to his observations on the island for so many days, should be nuclear radiation. Gray had already spent a month on the island. It was not much different from the lifeless surroundings when he woke up last time. The only thing that could cause such a situation was obviously nuclear radiation. As he was mumbling, Gray¡¯s snake eyes seemed to see the specks of green light in the air. This was a strange ability that his eyes had obtained after constantly mutating recently. It was either dark green or emerald green¡ At a glance, the entire world was full of green vitality, and there was an indescribable sense of horror. However, Gray did notice something strange. His body was actually actively absorbing these green light spots. And as he continued to absorb them, Gray felt his body growing at a speed visible to the naked eye. There was another important reason why Gray had guessed that it was nuclear radiation. This was because the closer this emerald-green light spots were to the center of the island¡¯s explosion, the denser the light spots became. This, combined with Gray¡¯s previous guess, made sense. Of course, probably it wasn¡¯t as simple as just the nuclear radiation. It was because viewing from Gray¡¯s angle, there were also light spots in the distance. However, those light spots were much more sparse compared to the green light spots. They were also colorful. Red, orange, yellow, green, cyan, blue, and purple, the colors varied¡ They kept floating in the air. ¡°If my guess is correct, this green light spots should be the product of nuclear radiation fusing with these colorful light spots.¡± While mumbling, Gray was also thinking. However, it didn¡¯t seem like he should care about such things at the moment. Slowly raising his head, Gray saw that his evolution points had already reached as many as 500¡ This was his harvest for an entire month. Again and again, he foraged for food. Finally, his evolution points had accumulated to as many as 500¡ And now, it was time to activate the final strengthening ¡ª body strengthening¡ He needed more than 300 evolution points, but it was highly possible for Gray to undergo a qualitative leap. What was worth mentioning here was that Gray had already strengthened his scale armor and venom over the past few days. The effect of the scale armor strengthening and mutation wasn¡¯t very obvious. From the looks of it, it only made his skin look a little thicker. However, the venom was a little intriguing. ¡°Roar.¡± Amidst the roar that sounded like countless metals rubbing against each other, Gray also felt an inexplicable power gathering in the depths of his throat. Immediately after¡ ¡°Pu.¡± Another loud roar was heard. Following that, a ball of dark green liquid shot towards the boulder not far away. ¡°Sizzle¡¡± After a series of chemical reactions, the two-square-meter boulder continued to corrode at a speed visible to the naked eye, before finally falling apart. This was poison, a Level 4 poison. To be more precise, it should be a Level 4 skill brought about by mutation and evolution, the poison spray. In layman¡¯s terms, it was spitting. However, the destructive power of this spit was not to be underestimated. Its astonishing corrosive power even made Gray¡¯s scalp go numb. A chill shot up from his tail to his head, wanting to escape from his body. If this had happened to an adult male, he would probably have dissolved in a few seconds. However, it was a pity that the range and accuracy of this venom was a huge problem at present. It was fine if it could not hit the target, but if the object was moving, then it was likely to only hit the edge. Moreover, the range was only a few meters. These problems that could not be underestimated made Gray feel a little awkward. However, he was only a lizard. How could there be a born genius? The problem was not big. As long as he practiced diligently, the venom would definitely become one of his trump cards. Grinning, Gray did not feel as awkward as before. Who didn¡¯t crawl step by step? Although this poison spray looked unusable due to various reasons, its destructive potential was still worth looking forward to. Not to mention other things, but looking at this astonishing corrosive power, one could roughly understand. Perhaps a bulletproof steel plate that was a few centimeters thick could be dissolved by this terrifying poison in a few seconds. In the true sense of the word, anyone who touched it would die. However, it was not the time to consider the issue of the poison spray¡ ¡°It¡¯s time to spend 300 evolution points to strengthen my body¡¡± Thinking of this, Gray¡¯s eyes narrowed, and a burning look of desire flashed across his face. The other strengthening that he spent 30 evolution points had already brought about such an objective improvement. If he spent 300 evolution points on strengthening his body, the benefits he would receive would be even greater than he could imagine. ¡°After I strengthen my body, I still have 200 evolution points left. I can choose to strengthen other areas¡¡± Gray thought to himself. He had already calculated in his heart. ¡ Not long after¡ ¡°Ding dong, are you sure you want to spend 300 evolution points to strengthen your body?¡± ¡°Yes.¡± The moment he finished speaking¡ A faint rumbling sound came from Gray¡¯s body. Gray only heard a terrifying rumbling sound in his mind, and his body suddenly shook. Suddenly, an extremely terrifying energy surged out from the deepest part of his heart, and then spread to his limbs and bones. ¡°Kacha, kacha¡¡± Crisp sounds rang out one after another. Gray could clearly feel that all the bones in his body were being shattered by this unknown force one after another. Then, they began to reassemble. While the bones were reassembling, even Gray could clearly feel an indescribable sense of hardness coming from all the bones in his body. Breaking, reassembling, breaking, reassembling. Amidst the continuous changes, Gray¡¯s enormous body, which had already evolved and mutated, underwent another earth-shattering change. Metamorphosis, or rebirth, no one could recognize what kind of species this was. However, one thing Gray was sure of was that it was evolving in the direction that he had guessed. ¡°Roar¡¡± As if he was suppressing the roar of a beast, Gray¡¯s four limbs continued to exert force. At this moment, if one paid attention to the attribute panel, one would be able to notice the obvious changes. His weight, without a reference, he couldn¡¯t be sure at all. However, one thing was for sure, he had evolved continuously, and his body size had long surpassed that of the world¡¯s largest Komodo dragon.. And all of this was because he wasn¡¯t like an ordinary lizard, which looked big-bellied and ugly. On the contrary, Gray gave off an indescribable feeling of sturdiness. What was even more terrifying was¡ ¡°Rumble.¡± With a snap of Gray¡¯s claw, the ground within a five-meter radius started to shake, and the ground began to split apart, with different cracks and spider-web-like patterns appearing. ¡°Such astonishing strength!¡± In his shock, a hint of passion flashed across Gray¡¯s eyes. This was the power of a superhuman that he did not even think about when he was a human in his previous life. To put it bluntly, even if a heavy truck were to pounce on him now, he would be able to flip the truck to the ground effortlessly. However, he wasn¡¯t in a hurry. This was just the beginning. He needed to become stronger! ¡°Let me devour more evolution points. Tonight, I¡¯ll hunt to my heart¡¯s content!¡± After saying lightly such terrifying words, Gray blended into the night and disappeared into the darkness. ¡ Giant lizards were the stronger predators among reptiles. As the king of giant lizards, the Komodo giant lizard was even more terrifying. It could be said to be a ferocious beast among ferocious beasts. According to the documentary that Gray had watched in his previous life, the Komodo giant lizard was often covered with armored scales. These scales were called small bones that contained an endoskeleton. They could be used as a kind of natural chain armor. Some of the scales were even strengthened by bones, and there were sensory plaques connected to nerves to promote their sense of touch. The scales around the ears, lips, chin, and soles of the feet might have three or more sensory plaques. So, the Komodo giant lizard¡¯s sense of touch is very sharp¡ Not only that¡the Komodo giant lizard smells with its tongue. Like many other reptiles, it uses the Jacobson¡¯s organ vomeronasal sense rather than the nostrils. With the help of the favorable wind and the habit of wagging its head and tail, the Komodo giant lizard might be able to detect rotting flesh at a distance of 4-9.5 kilometers. As for their eyesight¡ Although their eyesight was poor at night, they could see objects 300 meters away during the day. Thus, it was also imaginable how terrifying the Komodo giant lizard was. However, this was only a Komodo giant lizard that had relatively normal growth. No one knew how terrifying a Komodo giant lizard like him, who had evolved several times, was. Perhaps it was because of the mutation or the system, Gray could clearly feel that his night vision was different from other Komodo lizards. His night vision was not very good, nor was it bad,. His pair of eyes could see things within 500 meters at night. What was even more terrifying was¡ ¡°Hiss¡¡± A pair of forked tongues spat out, and countless scents assailed his nostrils. ¡°About 300 meters ahead, there¡¯s a rotting carcass. It seems that¡ 600 meters ahead, there¡¯s another one¡ ¡°20 kilometers northwest, there¡¯s also another one¡¡± His soft tone contained extremely exaggerated words. Gray had compared his ability to sense scents based on individual reference objects. It was exaggerated, truly exaggerated. Over 20 kilometers might not be the achievable limit by this body yet. As for what this level of vision and smell meant, Gray was naturally very clear. Others might not know, but how could Gray not know that this was an ability that a top predator possessed? Gray had already started his evolutionary journey from the lizard genus towards an even more exaggerated and mysterious existence. ¡°Huff.¡± Taking a deep breath, Gray suppressed the excitement in his heart. Then, without thinking, he rushed towards a direction. ¡°Rumble, rumble.¡± The earth was wailing and trembling. His terrifying running speed brought about a strong gust of wind. Under the cover of the night, Gray began to run recklessly. ¡ He charged and charged again. It was as if his four limbs were equipped with an electronic motor. Although he had short legs, under the support of his strong body, Gray¡¯s speed had already exceeded the imagination of ordinary people. In just a few breaths¡¯ time, Gray had already crossed several hundred meters. ¡°This won¡¯t do. This kind of movement is too big. With this pretentious movement, before I can run to my prey, I¡¯m afraid that the prey will have already scattered in all directions when they hear this vibration from dozens of kilometers away. ¡°Now that due to the explosion of this nuclear weapon, there are a lot of carcasses. It allows me to easily fill my stomach without much effort. In the future when I finish eating all the carcasses, my hunting efficiency may be greatly reduced if I run in this manner¡¡± As he continued to run, Gray didn¡¯t stop his thinking. He even deliberately kept the commotion caused by his running low. Not only did he need speed, he also wanted to hunt silently. As a top predator, he needed to approach his prey silently and kill it in one shot. Therefore, the noise Gray made gradually became softer. Of course, his running speed was also reduced to a certain extent. Fortunately, this running speed was still within Gray¡¯s acceptable range. Next, he only needed to constantly adjust his running posture to find the best for himself and reduce the noise. Chapter 7 Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio On this unknown island in Indonesia, due to the nuclear weapons, the lives of all kinds of animals were as weak as paper. They could be shattered at a touch. The number of dead and injured creatures on the entire island was no less than hundreds of thousands. As far as the eye could see, carcasses were scattered all over the place. Within 10 miles, there was actually a living creature. Fortunately, Komodo giant lizards in the giant lizards¡¯ genus ate rotten meat as their main food. Therefore, Gray did not mind the carcasses of these animals that had already died and rotten because of the high temperature. As for Gray himself, although he still retained his human nature, he had long known the preciousness of life after rebirth. As long as he could survive, he would not be too picky about everything. In the current situation where resources were scarce, how could he still make a fire to cook rice and meat well like the humans in his previous life, and eat them slowly? How was that possible? Not to mention that the current conditions did not allow it, but the organs of the Komodo dragons were not interested in cooked meat. On the contrary, the carcasses of these animals that had been killed by the high temperature of the explosion and the rotten meat that had decayed due to time had become a rare delicacy in Gray¡¯s mouth. Of course, Gray preferred the fresh meat to the rotten carcasses because not only did the fresh meat taste better, but the large amount of mutated energy in the carcasses had not dissipated yet. When Gray chewed on the flesh, he could clearly feel the cells in his body cheering and jumping. Along with it, a scorching warm current filled his entire body. ¡°Kacha, kacha¡¡± The sharp teeth coupled with the exaggerated jaw of the beast tore and chewed a wild horse-like creature effortlessly. ¡°As expected, raw meat is more delicious. The meat is very tender¡¡± ¡°Ding dong, the host is devouring the mutated wild horse¡¯s flesh. Evolution Points +10¡¡± He revealed a satisfied smile. However, from his fierce appearance, that smile was so ferocious and comical. It could both fill his stomach and increase his evolution points. This kind of business that was guaranteed to make a profit without a loss was really great. Just as Gray was about to go to a small pond to drink some water¡ ¡°Drip, drip¡¡± The sound of water dripping attracted Gray¡¯s attention. It was impossible for the dust in the nearby air to form cumulonimbus clouds. Moreover, these water droplets had a strong fishy smell. ¡°What the hell is this?¡± As Gray muttered his analysis, a hint of vigilance appeared in his eyes. He wasn¡¯t the only mutated creature on the island that had survived. He had long memorized this answer. This was because when he had just woken up from his transmigration, he had heard the mournful howls of different creatures. And now, under the nuclear weapons, the creatures that were on the verge of death had finally met him¡ He slowly raised his gaze and looked in the direction of the water droplet. Even with the cover of the thick darkness, Gray had used his astonishing vision to catch the sight of a two-headed python that was five hundred meters away. It looked like a terrifying python¡ and it was swimming in the water. At this moment, the python, which was a creature¡¯s instinct, seemed to have noticed this unfriendly gaze. The python, whose color could not be distinguished, trembled and slowly straightened its body. It raised its two ferocious heads and looked at Gray. Yes, you didn¡¯t see wrongly. It was just looking at each other. The python actually made a move that only a highly intelligent creature could do. However, the next moment¡ ¡°Swish!¡± The two-headed python suddenly shook its head. Under Gray¡¯s stunned expression, the two-headed python didn¡¯t hesitate for even a moment. It didn¡¯t even turn its head as it swam straight in the opposite direction. ¡°A snake which is close to the mouth still wants to run away. Did you ask my permission?¡± Although Gray was stunned by the two-headed python¡¯s action, it did not affect his reaction speed. It was very obvious that the two-headed python had sensed Gray¡¯s terror. It was acting on its biological instinct and began to flee at high speed. However, this was the first time Gray had encountered a living creature on this island after so many days. As the cooked bird was already in his hands, how could he let it fly away without a trace? ¡°Roar¡¡± An angry roar came out of Gray¡¯s bloody mouth. In a flash, Gray¡¯s four short legs were fast as if they were flying, and he vigorously chased after the python. The two-headed python was very fast, several times faster than the rainforest python that was usually seen in documentaries. It seemed to be a mutated creature. However, Gray didn¡¯t feel any threat from this giant creature. If his guess was right, this two-headed python had mutated at most twice, while he himself had mutated and evolved four times. So¡ Grinning, Gray didn¡¯t mind bullying weaker creatures. After all, the law of nature was that the strong preyed on the weak. After chasing for a while, Gray caught up with the fleeing two-headed python at a speed visible to the naked eye. ¡°Let¡¯s see how fast you can run!¡± With a long howl, Gray opened his mouth and spat out. With a loud sound, a pot-sized venom shot out. ¡°Bzzt¡¡± In an instant, a piece of land not far away was charred black due to the deadly venom, turning emerald green. This two-headed python was quite lucky, actually being lucky enough to dodge Gray¡¯s venom. However, one could vaguely see droplets of venom splashing onto the two-headed python¡¯s body. ¡°Hiss¡¡± Amidst the mournful wails, one could see that the droplets of venom splashing onto the two-headed python and successfully left two thumb-sized holes on its thick body. ¡°Hiss, this power is too terrifying¡¡± Gray couldn¡¯t help but suck in a breath of cold air. He felt that he had somewhat underestimated the power of the venom. However, this wasn¡¯t the time to be concerned about these things. Gray suddenly accelerated. He quickly sprinted to the side of the python, which had begun to slow down due to the intense pain. Then, he flipped his hand and quickly struck out with his sharp claws, accurately striking the heart of the python. This strike also successfully took away a large chunk of flesh from the python¡¯s lower body. Following that, streams of blood splattered out. Not far away, the python was rolling on the ground wantonly because of this sudden and intense pain. It seemed that because of the unbearable pain, it looked extremely miserable. ¡°Unfortunately, if you were stronger than me today, I would probably be the one on the ground.¡± Sighing slightly, Gray humanely placed his claw that was filled with flesh into his mouth. His forked tongue continuously licked the flesh and blood off the python¡¯s body. This fresh and delicious flesh and blood caused his entire body, which was a temperature-changing creature, to be filled with blood. There was also an indescribable pleasure. It was the pleasure of a creature killing, and it came from the instinct of genetic inheritance. ¡ However, it was pity for the mutated giant python which was lucky enough to survive the nuclear explosion. Looking at the giant python that was still rolling around not far away, Gray also stopped playing with it. And he prepared to give this giant python a quick relief. A cold light flashed. The giant python was directly split into two halves, shooting out a half-meter-high pillar of blood. Chapter 8 Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio ¡°Ding dong, the host is currently devouring the flesh and blood of a Level 2 mutated python. Evolution Points + 20¡¡± Gray quietly stopped what he was doing and listened to the cold notification sound from the system. He revealed an expression of ¡®as expected¡¯. It was just as he had expected, such a mutated animal that had survived a nuclear explosion¡ It was at least a Level 2 mutated creature. As long as he devoured the flesh and blood of the mutated creature, the higher the level, the more evolution points he would obtain. However, this was quite normal. After all, according to Newton¡¯s law of energy conservation, this was normal. Smiling in his heart, Gray picked a good spot of the mutated python to continue eating. He did not need to devour the flesh and blood of the entire mutated creature to obtain evolution points. He only needed to devour a few pieces of flesh and blood, and the so-called evolution points and energy would slowly flow through the flesh and blood to his entire body. If Gray felt that it wasn¡¯t enough, he could still bite the flesh and blood harder, allowing his mutated stomach to digest more easily. That way, he could also speed up the extraction of evolution points. This was a rule that Gray had obtained after eating for so many days. At the very least, he looked pretty good. At the very least, he didn¡¯t need to transform into a glutton and eat every carcass he saw. However, just as Gray was racking his brain, a cold system notification rang out once again, startling Gray, who was immersed in joy. ¡°Ding dong, the host is absorbing the heat sensing ability of a Level 2 mutated python. Do you want to absorb and evolve?¡± ¡°What the hell is that?¡± Hearing the system notification, Gray fell silent. Heat sensing, absorption? Gray was no stranger to the heat sensing ability of snakes. After all, in his previous life, he had seen similar introductions every day in the animal world. Snakes were born with the ability to sense infrared rays. Their forked tongues were lined with a camera-like device, allowing snakes to see other animals that emitted heat. Humans could only see infrared rays with special detectors. This ability was very terrifying. It was mostly used by humans in technology. And now, the system actually told him that he could absorb and evolve this ability? In his shock, Gray had the thought of trying it out since there¡¯s no loss to him. He confirmed in his heart. ¡°Confirm absorption.¡± The moment he finished speaking, Gray felt his eyes tremble. An indescribable numbness and piercing pain suddenly surged over. With a series of low growls, Gray felt two streams of blood and tears flowing down from his eyes. At this moment, what Gray didn¡¯t notice was that his snake pupils had actually undergone some subtle changes, as if some mysterious power had been injected into them. ¡ The pain was unbearable. Resisting the urge to throw his head back and vent, Gray stretched out his sharp claws and ruthlessly clawed into the ground. ¡°Slash, slash¡¡± The sharp claws repeatedly cut through the scorched black wasteland. It was not until half an hour later that Gray felt much of the pain in his eyes had eased. Accompanying it was a feeling of comfort that came from the bitter end. He felt his brain and scalp trembling. It was like a powerful eyedrop that dripped into his eyes. It was very cold and comfortable¡ ¡°This heat sensing ability isn¡¯t on my tongue like a snake, but it¡¯s given to my eyes?¡± Gray was extremely shocked by this. He didn¡¯t understand why this was the case. As for him, when the ability was developing, his eyes were in intense pain. Could it be that this heat sensing ability was really triggered by his eyes? As he mumbled, there was some confusion and instinctive curiosity. Gray¡¯s eyelids slowly trembled as he slowly opened his eyes. ¡°Boom!¡± The scene that suddenly appeared in his mind gave Gray a feeling of enlightenment. It was as if he had a god¡¯s perspective, creating a 3D map of everything within a hundred meters of him, imprinting it deeply into his mind. Vaguely, through his heat sensing ability, Gray caught several red shadows within a hundred meters of him, lying dormant not far away from the lake. ¡°Hiss, is this the heat sensing ability?¡± Feeling this magical ability, Gray was also stunned. It wasn¡¯t just a 3D projection observation. Instead, it was as if he had an extra eye, allowing him to accurately identify all the temperature images in the air. However, through the heat sensing imaging ability, Gray continuously sketched out the shape of the object in his mind, which was enough for Gray to determine what kind of mutated creature it was. In this way, the problem of his poor eyesight in the dark was solved. As long as there was temperature, Gray could see everything in the world. For example, in his mind now, the higher the temperature of the creature, the lower the color content. Right now, the red outline closest to him in his mind, if he judged correctly, from its size, it should be a large wild boar. Wild boars were mammals, and their body temperature was constant. ¡°Tsk.¡± Gray smacked his lips and shook his head violently. After a moment, the thermal image in his mind slowly disappeared. At this time, if Gray were to observe carefully, he would be able to see that there was an additional skill in the strengthening panel. [ Heat sensing ability (Level 1) can capture the changes in the surrounding temperature through one¡¯s eyes, allowing one to see everything around them. ] ¡°This ability can also be strengthened?¡± While muttering softly, Gray also discovered the additional skill in the strengthening panel. To him, this was not bad news. A skill that could be strengthened meant that the potential was not bad. This was because there had already been enough examples to prove this point. Now, a mere Level 1 heat sensing ability was able to create images at will. What if he continued to level up? What kind of new power would appear? Gray became more and more suspicious. This heat sensing ability would become a terrifying unimaginable skill because of his continuous enhancement. For example, a healing ability. If it was continuously strengthened, it might be able to regenerate Gray¡¯s broken limbs and regenerate cells like Alex. And his heat sensing ability, which was based on his eyes, could be strengthened again and again. It might also allow his eyes to shoot out lasers, and it might even allow him to have the third eye of the myth, the Heavenly Eye! Of course, all of this was just his wild guess. At the moment, he was quite satisfied with this ability. ¡°With this ability, I¡¯m afraid that in future, I¡¯ll be the king of the night, and the night will be my kingdom!¡± Shaking his head and throwing this silly idea to the back of his mind, Gray also gave a high evaluation of his heat sensing ability. However, Gray found something interesting. It seemed that he could extract the special skills of a mutated beast. What did this mean? Others might not know, but Gray could see it more clearly than anyone else. ¡°If it¡¯s really as I think, then the future me must be a terrifying monster.¡± Gray licked his lips excitedly, and a hint of anticipation revealed on his face. On the Blue Planet, there were many animals with very powerful abilities, not to mention the animals which might have already undergone a mutation. Their unique abilities had become even more powerful. Chapter 9 Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio If it was really as what I thought, that I was not afraid of the extreme cold and high temperature, I would then almost be the same as the mythical creature in the legends. While making fun of himself, he was also looking forward to his future. This is because Komodo giant lizard used to have a name ¡ª ¡°The Living Komodo Dragon.¡± So now, did he really have the possibility of evolving into a legendary dragon? That dragon was not just a giant lizard with wings, but a giant dragon that could control natural elements and had the power to destroy the world! It came from the most ancient myths and legends, a true mythical dragon. Thinking of this, Gray could not help but speed up his eating. It wasn¡¯t impossible for him to evolve into a legendary dragon. After all, he had the help of the system¡¯s golden finger. ¡°System, help me strengthen my heat sensing ability, directly help me strengthen it to level four!¡± In his soft description, Gray didn¡¯t hold back and wanted to strengthen this rather invincible ability to Level 4 in one go. Level 4 heat sensing ability was the upper limit of the strengthening level he could achieve now. If he wanted to strengthen his heat sensing ability to Level 5, it would be best to first strengthen his claws, scales, body, and poison spray to Level 5 before strengthening his Level 4 heat sensing ability. After all, compared to the previous abilities, this heat sensing ability was only a support function. Moreover, he still needed some time to adapt to the ability he had just obtained. It wouldn¡¯t be good to waste too many evolution points to strengthen it. Level 4 was the acceptable limit to Gray at the moment. And just as Gray¡¯s voice faded¡ ¡°Boom.¡± Along with a roar coming from his mind, a warm current actually surged from the depths of his eyes. ¡°This feeling¡ Hiss! This is too awesome!¡± The strengthening this time wasn¡¯t as painful as the first time he obtained the heat sensing ability. Instead, there was an indescribable feeling of comfort, like a holy and pure current constantly washing his eyes. After the enhancement was completed, the range of Gray¡¯s sensing ability continued to expand, from the original 100 meters to the current 400 meters. Moreover, even with his eyes closed, Gray could clearly feel that the 3D image projected in his mind was becoming clearer and clearer. It was even as if he had seen it with his own eyes. It was no longer like before, where he had to rely on the outline of the animal¡¯s body to judge the animal¡¯s race. ¡°The range of my heat sensing ability has increased by four times, reaching an astonishing 400 meters.¡± If he wanted to improve further, he would have to raise his heat sensing ability to Level 5. However, there was no need to rush for it now. Right now, the most important thing was to strengthen his body and other parts. Compared to the support ability of heat sensing, Gray preferred to strengthen his self-protection ability. Only his sharp claws were sharper, his scales were harder, and his venom was more lethal that he could ensure his own safety and start hunting more. Only then could he obtain more evolution points, which would allow him to continuously mutate and evolve. ¡°However, this wave of strengthening is indeed a little wasteful. Level 1 skill evolution costs 10 evolution points, Level 2 requires 20 evolution points, and Level 3 requires 30 evolution points¡ and I strengthened all the way to Level 4 in one go, spending a total of 100 evolution points.¡± Through his analysis, Gray noticed that he only had 120 evolution points left. It seemed that his hunt was about to begin again. The corners of his mouth curled up in a cold yet fatal arc. Gray raised his feet lightly, silently blending into the thick darkness of the night. ¡ The bright moon was in the sky, and the moonlight was hazy. This island was gray and hazy as usual. The dust that was constantly pervading the air had yet to disperse. Indistinctly, one could hear the mournful roars coming from the gray fog at dawn. This former Komodo Island of Indonesia had long since turned into dust and ruins, leaving behind countless ferocious and ugly mutated beasts that were running amok. Yes, they were running amok. During this period of time, the beasts that had not been buried under the nuclear weapons the last time had all turned into Level 2 mutated giant beasts at the very least. Not to mention their innate special abilities, just in terms of size alone, they were several times larger than before. For example, not far away, on the beach, Gray used his heat sensing ability to discover a huge mutated turtle that perched on the beach. Compared to an ordinary turtle, his body size was too huge. It was at least eight meters long! Although its appearance was even uglier than before, and even half of its shell had been blown up by the nuclear weapons, they did not affect its dreadfulness in the slightest. ¡°This turtle is at least Level 3, right?¡± While muttering, Gray had already sneaked close to the mutated turtle. The turtle that was still sleeping didn¡¯t notice the top predator that was slowly creeping over. After a certain distance from the mutated turtle, Gray stopped and sized up the mutated turtle from afar. This was the most powerful mutated creature he had sensed so far. Its aura alone was several times stronger than the previous mutated two-headed python. However, it was such a pity. Due to the nuclear explosion, this mutated giant turtle had been severely injured, so much so that the remaining half of its shell was charred black. It even revealed a large piece of rotten meat that had long been smelly. However, even so, this mutated turtle relied on the turtle¡¯s strong vitality to survive. Even¡ ¡°Swish!¡± Suddenly, the sound of air being torn apart could be heard as a head under the turtle shell flashed past. Following that, a mutant sea crab by the beach had no time to react and had already fallen into the mouth of the mutant sea turtle. ¡°This fellow¡¯s speed is so fast!¡± Gray was also surprised by this seemingly heavily injured sea turtle. Its speed just now was truly astonishing. Even with his evolved heat sensing ability, he was only able to barely see an afterimage. ¡°It¡¯s clearly the slowest creatures, but its offensive ability is really sharp.¡± Smacking his lips in dissatisfaction, Gray felt the great power of the Creator. When God closed a door, He would definitely open a window. Chapter 10 Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio This mutated giant sea turtle could be considered powerful to other low-level mutated creatures. However, It would be hard to say if it was against him. Since it was targeted by him, the fate of this mutated sea turtle had already come to an end. In an instant, Gray lifted his leg and slowly walked towards the mutated sea turtle that was sunbathing not far away. His footsteps were very light, as he was afraid that he would attract the attention of this sea turtle and alert it, giving him a chance to escape. ¡°Ta, ta, ta¡¡± His short but strong limbs stepped on the muddy beach. With every step he took, a small amount of sand would splash out. Faintly, an invisible pressure of a creature rose. ¡°Roar¡¡± Perhaps sensing that the atmosphere was not right, the mutated sea turtle that was lazily sunbathing let out low roars, trying to alleviate the oppressive atmosphere by roaring. Following that, the mutated sea turtle raised its huge head. Its eyes that were like obsidian were filled with a thick sense of vigilance. The unchanged surroundings made the mutated sea turtle even more fearful and uneasy. An indescribable sense of terror was slowly rising. Out of its instinctive protective mechanism, the mutated sea turtle curled its four limbs into the turtle shell to obtain a sense of security. But because half of the shell was broken by the nuclear explosion, it was hard to protect its whole body. So much so that half of its fat right leg was exposed. Facing the mutated sea turtle that was like a live target, Gray didn¡¯t plan to kill it directly. Because, although the turtle was slow, its defense was one of the best in the animal world. They were like live targets. Moreover, a part of its shell was missing. So¡ Simply put, this mutated turtle, which couldn¡¯t run or fight, was just a prey for him to slaughter. In this way, Gray could take advantage of the turtle¡¯s immobility to help him fight, adapting to his body. Only by constantly fighting could he continuously evolve and become stronger. With such a free live target, Gray didn¡¯t mind fighting with this mutated turtle for a while longer. Slowly moving forward, he opened the corners of his mouth, revealing his sharp teeth that flashed with a cold light. Gray stared at the mutated turtle like a tiger eyeing its prey. On the other side, the mutated sea turtle finally found the source of the terrifying atmosphere. After seeing its appearance clearly, it was so scared that it curled up into a ball and hid in a corner, its body constantly trembling. After all, it was a Level 4 mutated giant lizard, and its aura was somewhat different. The deadly pressure from the superior level made this Level 3 mutated sea turtle feel a little breathless. However, this was only the beginning. This was because Gray had already regarded it as ¡®not a bad sparring partner¡¯. Moreover, he got it for free. ¡°This sharp claw attack, the speed of my attacks isn¡¯t sharp enough. There¡¯s still room for improvement.¡± ¡°My fighting method and style are still a little immature. I can still refine this area a little more¡¡± ¡ While muttering softly, Gray continuously reflected on his various shortcomings in the battle. ¡°Roar!¡± Suddenly, with a roar, Gray¡¯s robust limbs rapidly exerted strength, and like a fierce tiger descending the mountain, he pounced towards the mutated sea turtle. Although the sea turtle was slow, its reaction speed was not slow at all. Looking at the menacing Gray, the mutated sea turtle quickly squeezed into its own shell. In the time of one breath, it had completely shrunk into a ball. As for the missing piece of its shell, Gray selectively ignored it. His purpose this time was not to eat or hunt. It was to train himself well. After all, for a sparring partner like this slow-moving turtle with extremely fast attack speed and excellent defense, Gray was very unlikely to be able to find another one. Gray was no longer distracted. Instead, he was focused on finding the turtle¡¯s weakness. At this moment¡ ¡°Whoosh!¡± A sound piercing the sky rang out. Gray could only catch a flash of an afterimage. ¡°So fast!¡± Such a fast speed shocked Gray. He didn¡¯t even have the time to react. While he was thinking, his lower limbs had already fallen into the giant turtle¡¯s bloody mouth. It was fast indeed, so fast that it was suffocating. However, it was such a pity that the turtle¡¯s evolutionary route didn¡¯t seem to have an all-out attack. It didn¡¯t even break through Gray¡¯s scales. ¡°Chi chi¡¡± The sharp teeth of the turtle collided with Gray¡¯s thick scales, creating a series of flames which caused the turtle to grimace in pain. ¡°Although this turtle¡¯s speed is very fast, it can¡¯t even break through my basic defense!¡± The corners of Gray¡¯s mouth curved into a smile, and he was filled with joy. He was truly a good sparring partner. Of course, this mutated sea turtle was not to be underestimated just because it couldn¡¯t even break through Gray¡¯s defense. One had to know that Gray was a Level 4 mutated creature, a whole level higher than this mutated sea turtle. Moreover, Gray had taken the initiative to strengthen its scales many times. If it were any other ordinary Level 4 mutated creature, this mutated sea turtle¡¯s sudden bite would definitely cause blood and flesh to splash everywhere. Moreover, a creature like a turtle was definitely not to be underestimated. In terms of race, it was more powerful than most of the mutated creatures he had encountered before. Using defense as an attack, it could directly attack the enemy. Using stillness to stop the enemy, one could advance and retreat. There was also the mutated turtle shell, which had unparalleled defense among its peers. This was indeed not easy to handle. At the very least, if Gray was still a Level 3 mutated creature, other than spraying venom, he really did not have any other means that could effectively injure the sea turtle. As for now, he would treat this mutated sea turtle as a sparring partner and have a good time. This could be considered as a rare time for entertainment and relaxation after eating his fill. With this in mind, Gray became even more active in his training. ¡ Time slowly passed, and in the blink of an eye, several days had passed. During this period of time, Gray carefully controlled his strength and fought back and forth with this mutated sea turtle. Sometimes, he would even drag back half of the prey he had eaten to replenish the mutated sea turtle¡¯s strength. This action also made the sea turtle feel quite moved. After all, he was unable to move, so he usually stayed where he was and waited for the opportunity to kill some small prey. Bringing back half a wild boar at a time like Gray was something that it didn¡¯t even dare to think about. It wasn¡¯t something ordinary. It was just that the previous conflicts had made the turtle hesitate whether or not to eat it. The turtle raised its eyes and stared at Gray. Its swarthy eyes kept rolling around. It stared at Gray, who was not far away, as if it was on guard. Chapter 11 Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio Taking this mutated sea turtle a sparring partner was only one of Gray¡¯s purposes. His other purpose was to observe whether these mutated creatures had gained intelligence. During these few days of being together, coupled with the sea turtle¡¯s current reaction, it vaguely confirmed Gray¡¯s guess. In that case¡ Crawling on a corner of the beach, Gray raised his head and looked at the stars in the sky.. ¡°If the mutated creatures have gained intelligence and have such tremendous power¡ then how much of a headache would the humans at the top of the food chain have? Is that why they chose to release nuclear weapons to destroy this island¡¡± While sighing, Gray didn¡¯t feel much. After all, he wasn¡¯t a human anymore, so he didn¡¯t need to stand from the angle of the humans to consider the problem. He didn¡¯t even need to consider the comfort of the humans. To put it bluntly, if he were to get close to the humans now, he would probably be captured and sliced up by the higher-ups. After all, non-human creatures had the intelligence of humans. This was something that the arrogant humans didn¡¯t allow. Therefore, from a certain extent, he was on the opposite side of most humans. As for the two of them getting along harmoniously, this was something that did not even need to be thought about. It was impossible. Humans were a selfish and greedy race. It was fine for them to treat their own kind, but they were extremely xenophobic. After all, they were not of the same race. Their hearts were bound to be different. As for the current Gray, he was no longer a human. To the humans, he was truly a foreign race. As for how humans treated other races, there were countless examples from ancient to modern times. ¡°If I can, I don¡¯t want to meet another human in my entire life.¡± Sighing slightly in his heart, Gray¡¯s thoughts kept fluctuating. The humans of today were very terrifying. Just talking about those great technological inventions¡ ¡ However, just as Gray was pondering over how he should live in the future¡ ¡°Boom, boom, boom¡¡± The sound of the propeller kept reverberating in the night sky. Accompanying it was a red aurora that was flickering like the stars, constantly interweaving in the sky. ¡°That is?!!¡± Seeing that familiar object, Gray, who had already lain down and relaxed his body, suddenly narrowed his eyes. In an instant, his entire body tensed up. ¡°A human armed helicopter! The thing that I was most worried about has indeed happened¡¡± With a helpless sigh, which contained the emotions that Gray needed, Gray looked at the helicopter hovering in the night sky. His expression was solemn, and no one knew what he was thinking about. However, at this moment, Gray seemed to have sensed something. His snake pupils which had been magnified to the extreme, narrowed slightly. ¡°So that¡¯s how it is¡¡± In his astonishment, Gray found that the helicopter hovering in the sky had long been dilapidated. Coupled with the creatures detected by his heat sensing ability, everything made sense. There were many scratches on the surface of the helicopter, as if it had been attacked by something on a large scale. Even the flashing red warning lights on the helicopter were flickering, as if they were going to go out at any moment¡ The armed helicopter seemed to be swaying, as if it was going to fall at any moment, and about to end its life as a carrier. ¡°This is! It can¡¯t be¡¡± Gray was startled. As he had fought with mutated beasts all day long, he naturally knew what the mutated monsters behind the helicopter meant to ordinary humans. However, to him, it was more of a surprise. ¡°Coo, coo¡¡± Suddenly, the birds chirping sound resounded through the night sky, overshadowing the sound of the propeller¡¯s engine. Soon after, a group of black figures suddenly swooped down from the depths of the night sky. ¡°Captain, these beasts are still chasing us!¡± As they furiously cursed, they seemed to be venting the fear in their hearts. A few panicked voices were also emitted from the helicopter in the sky. When they took a good look, they realized that the group of black shadows was actually formed by hundreds of mutated seagulls. They swarmed over in a vast and mighty manner. It was unknown how these mutated seagulls had targeted them, but they had actually attacked this helicopter in a row. And this was not the worst part. When they had first rushed to this island, they had also encountered a huge mutated sea eagle. In an instant, that huge mutated sea eagle had charged towards the helicopter and shot down one of the helicopters that accompanied them. That was only the beginning. When they were crossing the sea, because of the dust in the sky, they could only choose to fly at a low altitude. However, in the depths of the blue sea, a huge black shadow suddenly appeared. It was very frightening. Following that, a water droplet rose up and shot down another helicopter. Along the way, they lost four of the five helicopter squads that had rushed over for investigation. Only their helicopter was left on the verge of death. However, from the looks of it, their situation wasn¡¯t looking good either. ¡°Due to the nuclear radiation, we haven¡¯t been able to contact the headquarters for a long time. We¡¯ve also used up most of our guns and ammunition to chase away the group of mutated seagulls. Let¡¯s land urgently, or else we won¡¯t be able to escape death¡¡± ¡°Captain, but¡¡± Amidst the sudden exclamation, a soldier was shocked. As at this moment, a scene that he couldn¡¯t accept appeared on the island. ¡°Roar, roar, roar¡¡± The beast¡¯s mournful roar followed closely, as if the entire island had woken up. Those with discerning eyes could see that this lifeless island had long turned into the nest of the mutated beasts. If they were to descend urgently at this time, they would probably¡ ¡°Eh, I didn¡¯t expect that even nuclear weapons couldn¡¯t deal with these monsters. What will happen to the future of mankind?¡± With a bitter smile, the leader of the team shook his head helplessly. But now was not the time to talk about this. After all, there were always more difficulties than solutions. In the thick atmosphere filled with frustration, a soldier said. ¡°Sir, I¡¯ve discovered a problem. The loud noise made by the propeller of our helicopter is the culprit. ¡°Wherever we go, these mutated beasts will chase us regardless of anything. ¡°Moreover, more importantly, it¡¯s very difficult for our helicopter to fight these mutated birds in the air¡ They¡¯re really too agile. ¡°On the contrary, when we reach the ground, we will have a chance of survival.¡± In the continuous reports, a glint flashed across the eyes of the dejected officer. That¡¯s right, how could they give up in the end? Escaping to the island was their last chance of survival! As for the mission given to them by the government, to hell with it! Chapter 12 Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio Now that they couldn¡¯t even protect themselves. Moreover they could only complete the mission if they were alive, right? ¡°Alright, we¡¯ll do as you say.¡± With a helpless order, the pilot of the armed helicopter made a forced landing at the first possible moment. The wind and waves rose and fell, sweeping up dust in all directions in the air. The loud roar caused by the armed helicopter also continued to weaken, until¡ it completely disappeared. However, at this moment, the remaining people did not know that the real nightmare had just begun. ¡°Roar..¡± Amidst the terrifying roar, far away, in a corner of the island, a mutated wild boar that was chewing on the vegetation seemed to have been driven by something. It stopped what it was doing and raised its feet. ¡°Dong, dong, dong.¡± The ground was constantly trembling due to the weight of the mutated wild boar. This wild boar rushed aggressively towards the direction where the helicopter had landed. And on the other side¡ ¡°Awoo!¡± Amidst the continuous roars and howls, the two mutated wild wolves also rubbed their feet restlessly¡ ¡ Of course, these were not the most terrifying. The truly terrifying was still this. ¡°Hiss, hiss.¡± Sticking out his forked tongue, Gray also stealthily dived into the darkness. The pitch-black scales seemed to have merged with the darkness. Crawling gently, he repeatedly lowered the movements he created. In the dense darkness, the tail that was even longer than half of his body emitted a pitch-black cold light, leaving a long trail on the ground. Unlike before, Gray¡¯s current tail was like a steel whip, majestic and powerful. Moreover, this tail was Gray¡¯s second most lethal weapon. It was on the same level as his terrifying venom. At this moment, if one were to carefully observe the mutated sea turtle which curled up on the beach, one would discover that its shell was riddled with injuries. It actually had a deep dent mark on it. That mark was obviously caused by a whip from a foreign object. It was very obvious that it was caused by Gray¡¯s tail. With just a casual whip, the mutated sea turtle was not able to withstand it. Until now, when the sea turtle looked at Gray¡¯s tail, there was an indescribable fear in its eyes. It was hard to imagine how terrifying the power contained within Gray¡¯s tail was. However, there was one thing that was certain. When Gray¡¯s tail slowly swayed, it would definitely indicate that something bad was about to happen. ¡°Mankind¡¡± As he let out a cold growl, Gray took one step at a time as he gradually approached the depths of the island. The night gradually became darker, and it became so dark that one couldn¡¯t even see one¡¯s fingers. It covered everything in the world. The darkness of not being able to know anything was terrifying and suffocating. After all, the thing that humans feared the most was the unknown. ¡°Gulp, gulp¡¡± The sound of swallowing saliva was especially ear-piercing in this quiet night. The figures of more than 10 people slowly gathered together. Perhaps only by huddling together could they bring comfort to their fearful and uneasy feelings. One of them could not contain his fear. After they gathered together, he immediately switched on his flashlight. It lit up everything that was pitch-black. However, what entered their eyes was the devastated and charred land and countless pitch-black corpses. Those were the traces left behind by the nuclear bomb. It would be difficult to erase them in less than a few decades. It was more like a shocking scar that was deeply imprinted in the center of the island. However, before they could recover from their shock¡ ¡°Watch out!¡± Amidst the sudden reminder, they indeed saw a hint of blood rushing towards them from the night sky. ¡°Coo coo.¡± Amidst the sharp chirping of birds, a mutated seagull the size of an arm actually rushed towards them from the light source of the flashlight. ¡°Pfft.¡± Without even having the time to howl, this human who was holding the flashlight suddenly trembled. Then, his head was separated and his body fell heavily to the ground. ¡°Mike!¡± ¡°Oh, no, God, what on earth is this!¡± Amidst the cries of shock and regret, the expressions of several soldiers of the United States who were armed to the teeth changed in shock. Behind them, the experimental personnel who had come with the soldiers were even more frightened by this bloody scene and screamed. ¡°Ah!¡± ¡°No!¡± Amidst the shrill and panicked screams, four or five of the soldiers were so frightened that they curled up into a ball and squatted on the ground, not daring to move. Among them, a middle-aged uncle¡¯s body emitted a smell that should not appear at his age. And this was indeed normal. After all, as researchers, their psychological quality was naturally inferior to that group of well-trained soldiers. However, this was not the time to care about these things, The crisis was still spreading. ¡°You b*stards, I want to avenge Mike!¡± A black soldier raised the machine gun in his hand without hesitation. ¡°Da da da da da¡¡± Countless fire serpents spurted out, just like the soldier¡¯s anger, which needed to be vented. Then¡ ¡°Gu gu gu!¡± Amidst mournful cries, countless seagulls seemed to explode in the air. And the scene was like a sky full of blood, dancing and scattering. One group, and another group, consecutively. They continued to charge at the black soldiers with machine guns. As Level 2 mutated beasts, although their speed and strength weren¡¯t bad, their defense was just like that of ordinary birds. It was pitifully fragile, After a series of attacks, more than half of the seagulls were killed. As for the other seagulls, they seemed to be afraid and scattered in all directions. However, when these seagulls flew away, the blood-red eyes that had changed due to the mutation stared at the soldiers present, as if they wanted to carve their faces deep into their minds. This group of mutated seagulls had already set their eyes on them, and they would not rest until one of them died. Seeing the enemy finally retreat, these soldiers and researchers did not have the time to be happy. The enemy was trembling non-stop, and a huge roar came from the distance. It was as if something huge was sweeping over. That was not all. It could only be said that when people were unlucky, even drinking water would be stuffed between their teeth. Two extremely loud wolf howls came from behind. The howls shook the sky, adding a strange color to this quiet night. Accompanied by a shocking loud sound, under everyone¡¯s incredulous gazes, a mutated wild boar that was four to five times larger than a normal wild boar rushed towards them. It was like a locomotive, unstoppable, and one would die with a touch. ¡°Oh my God!¡± ¡°God, what did I do wrong? Why did you do this to me?!¡± As everyone was crying. The wild boar finally came into direct contact with everyone. A soldier who was blocking in front and a researcher who was crouching behind were hit by it. They were directly pierced by the mutated wild boar¡¯s huge sharp fangs. Chapter 13 Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio With two consecutive loud bangs, both of them were pierced through and skewered together by the fangs. However, one lucky thing was the moment the mutated wild boar came into contact with them, their bones should have been shattered by the terrifying impact, and their veins should have been completely broken. They did not feel any great pain. Looking at the two humans who were pierced and skewered from afar, Gray, who had hidden himself and peeked from afar, narrowed his eyes slightly. ¡°This kind of impact is really not ordinary.¡± A Level 3 mutated wild boar that was close to Level 4? It was not an ordinary trouble. Moreover, from the appearance of this mutated wild boar, it did not seem to be an ordinary mutated creature. Its thick, long, and sharp fangs were truly not ordinary. Even Gray, who was a peak Level 4 mutated creature, would find it difficult to deal with this wild boar, let alone a group of people who only had ordinary firearms.. At night, coupled with the dust that constantly filled the air, it was very dark. However, to Gray, who had a Level 4 heat sensing ability, it was like daytime. The mutated wild boar and the group of humans were all warm-blooded. To Gray, they were like torches in the dark night, exceptionally bright. While thinking, Gray also noticed that not far away, there were other mutated beasts that heard the movement and started their attacks. There were two mutated wild wolves and a few of his own kind, the mutated Komodo dragons. After all, it was the Komodo Island, and there were many Komodo giant lizards around. There were many which were lucky enough to survive, and all of them had mutated one after another. However, the direction of their mutation was a little strange. Looking from afar at their bodies that had become very bloated because of the mutation, Gray could not help but feel a little proud. According to the Komodo race¡¯s aesthetic standards, he, a Komodo giant lizard, was the most handsome. If ordinary giant lizards were said to be bloated and extremely ugly, then Gray was like the champion of the giant lizards in bodybuilding. He had a streamlined figure, a strong body, and strong limbs. His entire body exuded a cold and powerful aura. ¡°Hiss hiss.¡± Once again sticking out his tongue, Gray carefully observed the direction of the entire battlefield. From the looks of it now, it seemed that he didn¡¯t need to make a move himself. Just these mutated beasts alone, these humans were unable to withstand. ¡°This mutated wild boar seems to be able to withstand small caliber bullets¡¡± While murmuring, Gray also noticed that some bullets had grazed the skin of the mutated wild boar that was rampaging on the battlefield. This had caused it to bleed non-stop. However, it wasn¡¯t a big deal to it and it was still full of vigor and vitality. It seemed that the small caliber bullets of human did not cause him any fatal damage. ¡°This mutated wild boar has rough skin and thick flesh. It should be extremely good at defense. Although it¡¯s a Level 3 mutated beast, its defense and its fangs should be close to the ability of Level 4¡¡± In other words, the defense of an ordinary Level 4 mutated beast would be able to block the small caliber bullets of firearms¡¡± The more Gray analyzed, the more he realized how powerful the mutated beast was. At this moment, Gray also noticed the seagulls in the sky. After they discovered that the humans had been surrounded and attacked, they once again returned to attack. Moreover, they actually used an extremely agile posture while flying at high speed¡ And they dodged quite a number of bullets. ¡°A Level 2 creature, and a mutated bird that¡¯s very good at speed. It¡¯s able to dodge bullets¡¡± Gray¡¯s eyes trembled slightly. It was as if he had thought of something inconceivable. Gray suddenly felt a chill run down his spine. If that was really the case, this creature that had mutated two to three times could have such a strength? What about a mutated beast that had mutated eight times, nine times, or even more times? How powerful would their strength be? If there really was such a level of existence, then even human-like firearms would be useless on them. Watching the entire battlefield quietly, Gray was like a yellow sparrow, waiting for the best time for him to appear. With his heat sensing ability, he could accurately capture all the movements of the entire battlefield. And now, it was time for him to appear as a hero. This was because the entire battlefield was filled with ¡°evolution points walking around¡±. ¡°However, I must say that the firepower of the heavy weapons of humans is really fierce. They even brought out heavy machine guns.¡± Gray smiled in his heart as he looked at the tongues of fire that were still rumbling in the distance. The corners of his mouth curled up slightly. Although it was a heavy machine gun, it was nothing more than a mosquito scratching an itch against the mutated beasts that were too powerful. However, against those mutated beasts that had only undergone a few mutations, and whose defense wasn¡¯t particularly outstanding, it was nothing more than a meat grinder. Especially when the firepower was concentrated, even that peak Level 3 mutated wild boar couldn¡¯t endure the pain. Fighting to the death, this was the hymn of human courage, but¡ ¡°I hope that you can block me!¡± The corners of his mouth curled up, revealing an unspeakable cruelty. Gray had also blended into the pitch-black night scene, silently and slowly walking towards the center of the battlefield. Yes, slowly walking, and in a very leisurely manner. This was because he had sufficient confidence and ability, believing that he would be able to dominate this battlefield subsequently. ¡ ¡°Roar¡¡± A mournful roar came from not far away. Looking towards the source of the sound, it was actually a mutated ape that was half a meter tall. It was tightly clutching a solid iron rod in its hand as it pounced towards the crowd. ¡°Hmph hmph¡¡± Grinning coldly, Gray sped up and sprinted. ¡°Shua¡¡± His figure flashed past, swiftly flicking out his right claw. ¡°Rip¡¡± Along with the sound of flesh and blood separating, the ape¡¯s head and body were separated. And fresh blood dyed the ground red. Even when it died, the mutated ape didn¡¯t dare to believe it as it clutched its neck. ¡°Next time, just be a little faster¡¡± Regarding this futile attack, Gray had given this attack an A score in his heart. The reason was: although this attack was fast enough and the attacking points were tricky, the accuracy was far from enough. It actually caused this mutated ape to feel pain before it died. This was his mistake. Gray continued to raise his feet and rushed towards the center of the battlefield without stopping. ¡ ¡°Ta, ta, ta¡¡± Under the cover of the hot weapons, the sound of his footsteps seemed so insignificant. However, wherever Gray passed by, fresh blood dyed the ground red. The sharp claws that gave off a cold glow turned into the sharpest blades, killing in a single strike. Chapter 14 Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio The huge head extended slightly, as fast as the mutated sea turtle. In an instant¡ ¡°Kacha, kacha¡¡± Along with the neck, it was directly crushed by Gray¡¯s bite. Then, he sucked in a deep breath. ¡°Ding dong, it has been detected that the host is devouring a Level 2 mutated porcupine, and has obtained + 20 evolution points¡.¡± Listening to the cold system sound quietly, Gray was quite satisfied with the result. The current him no longer needed to devour large chunks of flesh and blood. All he needed to do was to bite off the neck like what he was doing now, and take a big gulp and absorb a bit of the flesh and blood essence. Then he would obtain the corresponding evolution points. It was very convenient. However, this robust Level 2 mutated porcupine with its speed which could not be belittled was somewhat terrifying at a glance. ¡°Just like a dried corpse that had its blood sucked dry by a vampire.¡± It was clearly an extremely terrifying thing to be described in a relaxed tone. It was like a giant box crushing an ant to death. How could humans feel sorry for an ant? As he softly narrated, Gray swung his head, tossing this troublesome corpse far away. His heat sensing ability was activated once again, and Gray once again saw the changes in the entire battlefield. ¡°Those humans, under the siege of these mutated beasts, aren¡¯t many left¡¡± Taking a deep look at the few people who were still stubbornly resisting, Gray knew that he had to speed up his actions. It wasn¡¯t because of humanity that he wanted to save these few humans. Even if they were saved, these humans might not appreciate it. They might even turn their cold, pitch-black muzzles towards him. However, he still needed to understand some information about the outside world from these humans. Therefore, he didn¡¯t mind showing mercy and saving these humans¡¯ lives for the time being. When they lost their value, what did their lives have to do with him? Such an analysis¡ His four limbs kept tensing up and exerting force. Gray rushed out like an arrow leaving the bow. ¡°Boom¡¡± There was a sudden loud explosion, and Gray¡¯s entire body shot out. ¡ ¡°No, don¡¯t¡¡± Amidst the repeated exclamations, a blonde-haired, blue-eyed European-American woman wearing a white protective suit looked at the mutated wild boar with a face full of despair. She attempted to use her loud voice to berate the mutated wild boar that was constantly advancing forward. The closer the wild boar was approaching, the clearer its power could be seen. Its huge tusk was more than a meter long. It was very eye-catching. And now, this huge monster was already within reach. Its thick and heavy feet kept rubbing against the ground. From its actions, it was not difficult to see what the wild boar was trying to do. The wild boar was showing the sign of charging forward. ¡°Ahem¡¡± With an oink, the mutated wild boar suddenly accelerated. ¡°No¡ Let me go!¡± In the midst of her shock, the blonde beauty screamed loudly. Due to fear, even her pupils dilated to the extreme. However, in the next moment, the anticipated pain did not come. ¡°Swish¡¡± Suddenly, there was a piercing sound, and a black shadow flashed and disappeared. Then, under the horrified gaze of the experimenters, the body of the ferocious and terrifying mutated boar was sent flying. ¡°This is¡¡± Not only her, even the other humans who were still alive were stunned. What kind of joke was this? This monster-like boar seemed to weigh at least a ton, but it was actually sent flying? ¡°Gulp¡¡± They swallowed their saliva. They really couldn¡¯t imagine what kind of existence it was to have such great strength to send this boar flying. The few people who were lucky enough to survive slowly turned their heads, and in the next moment¡ What came into their sight was a five-meter-long giant lizard. It was tightly wrapped by the scales that gave off a dark, cold light, which was like armor that was invulnerable to knives and spears. The giant iron tail that was longer than half of its body was like a steel whip, continuously waving in the air. At a glance, this giant beast that seemed to be made of steel actually walked step by step towards the wild boar that were slowly waking up not far away. One step, two steps¡ The wild boar that had just woken up clearly did not know what had happened. Then the wild boar that was still shaking its head in an attempt to shake off the dizziness seemed to have noticed something. It turned its head and saw the giant creature that was constantly approaching. Clearly, this mutated wild boar was more than twice the size of the giant steel lizard. However, an experimenter could clearly see the fear in the wild boar¡¯s bones. It was frightened by this killing machine that was about to come¡ ¡°Mm hmm¡¡± Amidst the continuous hissing, the wild boar became more and more restless. Others might not know anything, but it could deeply feel how terrifying this monster that was walking towards it was. If it were to face this monster, it would definitely die! At the next moment, the giant steel beast opened its mouth. ¡°Whoosh¡¡± With a sound of air being torn apart due to its speed, Gray¡¯s entire body disappeared. Immediately after, under the incredulous gaze of the mutated wild boar, the black giant lizard that it was afraid of suddenly approached. Its body was in mid-air, forming an extremely distorted posture. The huge tail that was like a steel whip was lifted up high, wanting to descend from the sky. ¡°Die, steel tail¡¡± As he muttered softly, it was as though he was saying his final farewell to this pitiful mutated wild boar. Then¡ There was no ¡®then¡¯. A terrifying explosion could be heard, as it spread out in all directions. As could be seen with the naked eye, the ground around the giant lizard and the mutated wild boar started to crack like a spider web¡ Three meters¡ Five meters¡ it only stopped when it was dozens of meters away¡ All the mutated beasts at the scene were attracted by this sudden change. Even the soldiers who had seen the explosion of missiles were attracted by this extreme power. ¡°Boom¡¡± The earth was shaking continuously as if a small earthquake was coming. However, this was not the most important thing. The beasts and humans who were attracted by the loud sound saw¡ The wild boar that looked extremely terrifying was now like a pile of meat lying quietly in the center of the spider web, without any signs of life¡ Chapter 15 Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio ¡°What kind of tremendous power is this¡¡± An indescribable feeling of suffocation spread among the humans. They were indescribably shocked by the scene before them. The humans, who had been at the top of the food chain for a long time, simply could not accept this. Such a terrifying attack was actually caused by an ordinary beast. ¡°Roar¡¡± With a soft growl, the slaughter continued. Gray sped up and charged towards the mutated beasts, which were still rooted to the spot due to the shock, one after another.. ¡°Crack, kacha¡¡± The sharp claws continued to tear apart their fragile bodies, and his tusks shattered their bodies. As for the steel whip-like tail, it casually whipped them away like a rubber ball. ¡°Rumble, rumble¡¡± Accompanied by a series of loud sounds, the mutated beasts on the field were all sent flying one by one. The steel tail was the most terrifying ability that Gray currently possessed. Its strength was so great that it exceeded Gray¡¯s original imagination. Even the mutated sea turtle, which was at the peak of Level 3 and was extremely skilled in defense, did not dare to face this attack head-on. As such, everyone could naturally imagine how terrifying the power of this attack was. ¡°According to my guess, the strength of my serious whip is at least five tons¡¡± The steel lizard revealed a human-like frivolous smile at the corner of his mouth. Then, it continued to transform into a killing machine, shuttling between the battlefield and wantonly harvesting the lives of these mutated beasts. ¡°Roar, roar, roar¡¡± A low roar, a mournful wail¡ All sorts of strange sounds echoed continuously in the battlefields. However, these wails didn¡¯t make Gray have any intention of stopping. Instead, it made Gray even more excited. It was the same for humans. Killing was something engraved in the genes. As for the nature of beasts¡It was a massacre, which was also Gray¡¯s favorite. He longed for the scene of killing, but he also longed to personally harvest himself. It was because, at this moment: ¡°Ding dong, it has been detected that the host is devouring the flesh and blood of a Level 3 mutated wild boar. Evolution points + 30¡¡± ¡°Ding dong, it has been detected that the host is devouring the flesh and blood of a Level 2 Komodo giant lizard. Evolution Points + 20, bloodline increase by 1% ¡¡± The increase in evolution points didn¡¯t attract too much attention from Gray. Gray¡¯s mind was completely focused on the notification at the end. The more he read, the more excited he became. He could feel the blood in his entire body boiling. The increasingly intense bloodline density caused Gray¡¯s body to emit a white mist-like gas. Under the contrast of the white mist, he became even more mysterious, terrifying, and dignified. ¡°This boiling feeling¡¡± Gray muttered suddenly. He then returned to his senses and felt something strange about his body. He looked at his own body in the puddle and then at the battlefield. The corpses lay quietly on the ground one after another. The methods of death were endless, and fresh blood dyed the ground. There were even corpses whose blood had yet to cool down, whose bodies had yet to stiffen. Even the desire for life and the fear of death on their faces had yet to fade away. And now, with a shift of his gaze, Gray looked at his strange body. His entire body had turned completely red, and the flesh and blood hidden beneath the scales seemed to have been roasted, constantly emitting a high temperature. ¡°It¡¯s really roasted¡¡± With a stupefied look on his face, Gray truly did not feel the burning sensation of his body. This burning sensation was more like a feeling that came from deep within his bones. The hot blood in his body was constantly burning and heating up. There was an indescribable boiling heat. At this time, Gray seemed to have discovered a new continent. He noticed a new ability on the attribute panel and became excited. [ Bloodline recovery: the silent and ancient bloodline of His will eventually be revived, the mythical snake of the world will also eventually descend (current recovery rate is 1%).] After calming down, Gray stared at the additional attributes quietly. His gaze froze, not moving at all. ¡°Could this be¡¡± While in doubt, Gray looked at the corpse lying on the ground not far away, it was the corpse of a mutated Komodo giant lizard. Originally, he was still considering whether he should slaughter his own kind. However, when he was on top of it, his reasoning was mostly taken up by the bestial nature. In fact, he had even unconsciously eaten the flesh and blood of his own race, extracting evolution points from these giant lizards. However, what surprised him was that devouring the flesh and blood of his own race didn¡¯t seem to be as simple as obtaining evolution points. ¡°Could it be that by continuously devouring my own race, I can purify my own hidden bloodline?¡± He was somewhat stunned, and also puzzled. Gray was not unfamiliar with the concept of bloodline. After all, he was born as a human in his previous life. There were descriptions of the term bloodline in all kinds of books. He still had some insights about the power of bloodline. It was an extremely terrifying power. It was the key to the continuous survival of a race. It was something carved in the bones of a race. And now, it seemed that his body was flowing with some indescribable blood of ¡®his¡¯. ¡°Could it really be the bloodline of the Ancient Dragon Race?¡± While muttering to himself, Gray recalled the legend of the Komodo lizard previously. It was known as the ¡°living dinosaur.¡± Its own bloodline was an extremely ancient and terrifying existence in the Blue Planet back then¡ And now, it had come to the era of Reiki recovery. Just as Gray had thought, that silent and ancient bloodline might be awakened by him once again. However, the method of awakening this bloodline¡ Slaughtering one¡¯s own kind? Gray narrowed his eyes slightly. Somehow he didn¡¯t have the heart to do it. He was still bound by the human morals he had learned in his previous life. However, this was normal. His previous life had not been in vain for being a good person. But on second thought, Gray felt somewhat relieved. Did humans have less examples of killing each other because of benefits? World War I, World War II, and the colonization campaign. Even humans, who had intelligence at the top of the animal world, behaved the same, let alone animals. And the Komodo giant lizards had had examples of cannibalism since ancient times. And for someone like him, who had a soul with human intelligence and a strong body of a mutated giant lizard, he could neither be considered a human nor an ordinary animal¡ To a certain extent, he was a monster, a monster full of contradictions. Therefore, his race had always been single person. As such, there was naturally no such thing as cannibalism slaughtering the Komodo giant lizards. ¡°As of now, I don¡¯t belong to the human race nor the Komodo giant lizard. I am me, I am Gray!¡± Thinking of this, Gray¡¯s eyes kept flickering. He couldn¡¯t stop thinking. What was my race, and where was his future heading? Chapter 16 Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio ¡°For the sake of awakening my bloodline, if I were to slaughter all of the Komodo giant lizards and plunder their bloodline to make me stronger, then I don¡¯t seem to have any other choice¡¡± ¡°I¡¯d rather let the world down than to allow the world to let me down!¡± Gray¡¯s soft voice revealed his firm conviction. He had never been an indecisive person. Now that he had seen through his own mind, he would show no mercy when slaughtering the Komodo giant lizards in the future. Therefore, from this point of view, Gray was an extremely selfish person. Selfish only for himself¡ However, Gray believed that this kind of selfishness was his way of survival as a mutated creature.. This was the most urgent matter at the moment¡ He turned around and slowly raised his eyes. Gray¡¯s long and narrow eyes also looked at the four figures not far away. The four figures were all humans wearing white protective suits. The four humans looked at the approaching giant steel lizard, and their expressions gradually became uneasy. They looked at Gray with fear. If a wild boar that weighed more than a ton was smashed into meat paste in front of you, which human would not be afraid? The giant steel lizard in front of them was a true killer. In just a few dozen seconds, it had slaughtered the entire group of mutated beasts, including the lizards that looked similar to him. At this moment, this monster had its eyes on them. ¡°Oh! No, don¡¯t, don¡¯t kill me!¡± ¡°Teacher, save me, save me, please!¡± ¡ Amidst the repeated shouts, a blonde mature woman who was still somewhat beautiful in her white protective suit also let out the most mournful cry. However, what she was doing at this moment was very stupid. It was a classic case of ¡®big boobs, no brain¡¯. Shouting loudly in front of wild beasts, especially in front of those crazy mutated beasts, would easily attract the attention of the wild beasts. As the saying went, the first bird to stick out would be the first bird to be shot. Just like what was happening now, Gray¡¯s gaze was shifted from the soldier to this blonde girl. ¡°Gulp¡¡± An obvious gulping sound came from the blonde girl. His gaze was as cold as a knife. It was so cold that it caused this inexperienced girl¡¯s brain to directly stop working. That sharp gaze caused the blonde girl¡¯s entire body to shiver. It was as if her blood had been frozen and she did not even dare to breathe. One could vaguely see that perspiration was continuously appearing on her pure white forehead. It was a pity that such a young girl did not have much time left to live. The life-saver charm had already been broken. That serious nuclear radiation, which seemed extremely poisonous to humans, had completely surged in and was continuously changing the girl¡¯s genes. However, what caught Gray¡¯s attention was that it was actually a foreign girl. She had light golden long hair and three-dimensional facial features. She looked delicate and beautiful, and her curvy figure made her look voluptuous and exquisite. ¡°What a pity.¡± With a roar, Gray slowly looked at the other three figures. They were a white-haired old professor and two soldiers who had run out of ammunition and food. ¡ At this moment, as if sensing Gray¡¯s unfriendly gaze, the two soldiers in the distance jerked their bodies, pulled out their weapons, and fired several shots. ¡°Bang, bang, bang¡¡± Suddenly, several bullets flew straight at Gray. The other soldier had taken out a pistol from his waist. He fired several shots at Gray¡¯s eyes, which were the most vulnerable part of his body. However, this soldier didn¡¯t know that all of his small movements were under Gray¡¯s control. His heat sensing ability allowed Gray to see every movement of the soldiers in the dark. Therefore, this kind of sneak attack would naturally fall apart. Looking at the bullets flying towards him, not only did Gray have no intention of dodging, instead he raised his right claw. With a bang, the bullets that were shooting towards Gray stopped abruptly. Then, under the incredulous gaze of this soldier, they were directly bounced away¡ There was only a shallow white mark appearing on Gray¡¯s scale, but then it quickly returned to its original color. ¡°Looks like the defense ability of my Level 4 scale armor is pretty good. At the very least, small caliber bullets don¡¯t pose any threat to my life.¡± Looking at this scene with great satisfaction, Gray felt gratified that his action of evolving the scale armor was indeed correct. It didn¡¯t waste many of his evolution points. Just as he had guessed before, a Level 4 scale armor¡¯s defense was completely capable of withstanding ordinary small caliber bullets. On the other hand, the scale armor that covered his entire body had transformed into an entire body, giving him an extremely strong defense that was similar to that of a heavy knight. He estimated that the it would be able to completely block the bullets of the small-caliber machine gun. However, even if it could block the bullets, Gray would not try it out for no reason. After all, he had finally regained his life with great difficulty. There couldn¡¯t be any more mistakes. But now¡ The corners of his mouth curled up, revealing a cruel human-like smile. Under the panicked gazes of the four people, Gray swaggered over. ¡°Ta, ta, ta¡¡± Step by step, his heavy footsteps were like a sharp knife, stabbing into their hearts again and again. Their faces, which were originally pale from fright, had become even paler. As for the soldier who had pulled out his pistol earlier, he did not give up. He kept pulling the trigger, hoping that this furious tongue of fire could stop the monster¡¯s attack. ¡°Bang, bang, bang¡¡± One bullet after another had torn the silence of the night. Like a sharp arrow that had been released from its bowstring, they rushed towards Gray without stopping. However, it was a pity that Gray, who had long been prepared for this, calmly raised his left claw and effortlessly blocked these bullets. At this moment, Gray was like an old man who was wandering about the mortal world with an indescribable elegance. It also plunged the four surviving humans to the abyss of despair. However, at this moment, the white-haired old man in the lead seemed to have noticed something. He widened his eyes, raised his finger in disbelief, and pointed at Gray with a trembling finger. ¡°You¡ you actually have intelligence?¡± Strolling leisurely, unhurriedly¡ It was completely different from the beastly nature he had just now, where he was filled with killing intent. Now, he was more like a cat that had eaten its fill, constantly teasing the four ¡®white mice¡¯. Hearing the white-haired old man¡¯s words, Gray did not respond or growl¡ There was only a ferocious smile that could no longer be restrained. Until Gray got close to the four humans¡ ¡°Swish, swish¡¡± Two air-piercing sounds were heard. With a speed that was as fast as lightning, Gray¡¯s tail directly pierced through the throats of the two soldiers like a scorpion. ¡°Rip¡¡± Only two clear sounds of flesh piercing were heard. The two strong soldiers slowly died under regretful gazes. Chapter 17 Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio At this moment, the scream that should have come with it finally arrived. ¡°No, don¡¯t¡ Please let me go!¡± In her panic, the blonde girl couldn¡¯t stand properly due to her excessive shock. She fell to the ground, and there was a trickle of blood between her legs, which was very pungent. Looking carefully, the blood was actually from the necks of the two soldiers. It had splashed onto her white protective suit¡ ¡°Since you¡¯ve chosen to attack me, no matter who you¡¯re, even if it¡¯s God, I¡¯ll kill you!¡± The faint voice of his heart was like an oath, firmly engraved in Gray¡¯s heart.. Along with it was Gray¡¯s ice-cold snake pupils, which became even more scarlet. There was an unspeakable terror. ¡°The few of you who were lucky enough to survive should be glad that you didn¡¯t attack me, or else¡¡± Amidst the faint roars, Gray also turned his ice-cold gaze towards the two remaining humans. One was a white-haired old man. The other was a blonde-haired, blue-eyed girl. this was also the reason why Gray had yet to make a move, These two people were not enough to be a threat to him. Therefore, Gray also spared their lives. The main reason was¡ Or Gray just wanted to confirm something from their mouths. But, how should he confirm it? The language was different, so it was directly excluded. Or should it be in words, or¡ After a moment of silence, Gray was in deep thought. How could he let these people understand what he was trying to say? After a long period of contemplation, Gray decided to use words. He knew a little about English of the United States. However, if he really used words to express himself, it would probably scare the two surviving humans. At this time, being able to speak and able to use words to express themselves were two completely different concepts. Being able to speak, at most, could only mean that animals had evolved to become intelligent. And they could learn the ability to communicate with other creatures. However, using words to express was enough to prove that these mutated creatures could effectively learn the knowledge passed down by humans. And this, to these newly mutated creatures, was obviously not realistic. ¡°Sigh¡¡± With a sigh, all of Gray¡¯s helplessness was expressed. Only now did he realize that there wasn¡¯t much significant for him to keep these two humans. At the very least, he couldn¡¯t let these two humans know that he knew human language. Even if, in the future, he had to personally deal with these two humans, he didn¡¯t want to reveal the information that he was a human in his past life. As such¡ After a long silence, Gray¡¯s gaze swept around everywhere. Suddenly, he sensed something that caused his body to tremble. This was because he noticed that there was a very blurry text on the attribute panel. It was very blurry. Those words couldn¡¯t be seen clearly at all. However, it seemed to have a life of its own, squirming like a worm. Until¡ not long after. A very clear line of words clearly reflected in Gray¡¯s eyes. [ Spiritual communication: spirit has repeatedly mutated and evolved, giving it unimaginable power. It can have simple communication with any living creature. ] ¡°This is definitely a godly skill!¡± It could communicate with all living things. However, Gray was also a little confused at this moment. The system would give him whatever he needed? No, that wasn¡¯t right at all. Inadvertently, Gray came to his senses. More accurately speaking, this attribute panel already had this ability, but he had never noticed it before. Just like this spiritual communication ability, it should be a skill that he had obtained from mutation and evolution long ago. But because he hadn¡¯t tried and didn¡¯t need to use it, the attribute panel didn¡¯t display it. But now, as the system might have sensed Gray¡¯s need, it eagerly displayed this ability. ¡ Time slowly passed, and in the blink of an eye, several minutes had passed. However, these few minutes, to the young girl Claire and Professor Carl, were truly like years. The two of them could not understand the thoughts of the monster in front of them. They could neither win in a fight nor run away from it. Thus they could only stay in the same place in panic, which every second felt like torture for the two of them. After all, they did not know when they would die. Even the cold sweat on their foreheads was quite a fair bit. However, at this moment, looking at the steel lizard that continued to be in a daze under the moonlight, the frail young lady Claire was suddenly startled. She said somewhat nervously. ¡°Professor, this big monster does not seem to be very interested in humans.¡± ¡°That seems to be the case.¡± Nodding his head in agreement, the depths of Professor Carl¡¯s eyes became more and more intense. He didn¡¯t know if it was his misconception, but the mutated beast in front of him seemed to have intelligence. Moreover, it was not ordinary intelligence. If he were to bring this news out, it would probably be a major discovery in the history of human biology. At that time, he would have to win the Nobel Prize for Biology this year. He would also be remembered in history for this. However, now, without a vehicle, how could he leave this d*mn place? His smart brain spun rapidly. Claire and Professor Carl looked at each other. However, at this moment¡ A young and deep voice suddenly echoed in their minds. ¡°You¡ are¡ humans, right?¡± ¡°Uh!¡± When they heard this sudden voice, Claire and Professor Carl¡¯s bodies shook vigorously and they looked at each other in confusion. They turned their heads repeatedly, but there was no one in sight. Only the two of them were there. Other than the giant steel lizard¡ Under the moonlight, the giant steel lizard swayed its tail, which was longer than half of its body. ¡°Swish¡¡± With a slight sound of air being torn apart, the tentacle-like tail had already arrived in front of Claire, ¡°Ah¡¡± With a sudden scream, Claire felt the coldness on his tail. This giant lizard had actually used its tail to drill into her protective suit and gently entangle her. It was also at this moment that Claire noticed that the giant steel lizard had arrived in front of her without her knowledge. The thick stench in its mouth made her feel nauseous. However, what was even more terrifying was the oppressive aura that was at the top of the food chain. It made her beautiful red face turn pale. Her body was continuously tightened and her sexy and delicate body was lifted up¡ Looking down, Claire vaguely saw a pair of snake pupils that were filled with playfulness. ¡°There¡¯s no need to look around anymore. It¡¯s my voice!¡± Chapter 18 Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio That inexplicable voice sounded in Claire¡¯s mind again, but it made Claire and Professor Carl¡¯s faces change drastically. As they turned pale, their faces also showed disbelief. ¡°How¡ How is this possible? Animals can talk?!!¡± ¡°Oh God, are you kidding me?!!¡± ¡ In the consecutive shocking exclamations, even the knowledgeable Professor Carl was frightened. He looked like he was looking at a miracle.. Gray had probably expected this. His ferocious face was still calm. Ignoring their shocked expressions, Gray only wanted to get some information from them. So¡ The spiritual frequency did not change, and Gray continued to organize his words. ¡°Can you tell me what is happening outside?¡± ¡°Also, which country are you from?¡± ¡°Oh yes, don¡¯t lie to me. That white-haired old man can¡¯t hear my voice now¡ When I ask him later, if I find out that you two have different stories, what will happen¡ you should know.¡± ¡ The faint voice continued to reverberate in Claire¡¯s mind, causing her to be completely stunned. The giant lizard actually spoke? And it could even threaten people? Moreover, it said it so flawlessly? Originally, Gray had planned to hide some things. But thinking about it carefully, Gray found that there was actually no need to hide too much. If it was due to the evolution of a mutated beast, then most high-level mutated beasts should also have this ability. It was only a matter of time. After all, mutated beasts didn¡¯t just evolve and mutate physically. Without powerful spiritual power, it would be very difficult to control that extraordinary body. Therefore, it was only a matter of time before mutated beasts and humans started to communicate. Of course, the premise of this behavior was that a mutated beast would take the initiative to learn about humans. Only then would they be able to communicate normally with each other through language. ¡ ¡°Stay here properly. Don¡¯t let me find out what you¡¯re up to. If I find out¡ the consequences will be at your own risk.¡± After saying that, Gray turned his gaze to the professor who was thinking about something in the distance. He was stunned on the spot and didn¡¯t move at all. Then, ¡°Roar!¡± The stinky big mouth opened, and a mouthful of dark green liquid the size of a basketball gushed out. Then, under Professor Carl¡¯s astonished gaze, the huge rock in the distance¡ its surface was actually corroding at a speed visible to the naked eye, until it left a very huge pit. Was this lizard threatening him? This method could be considered a naked threat. In the midst of his increasing shock, Professor Carl was so frightened that his hands and feet turned cold. Even his entire body was frightened by this tyrannical method until cold sweat flowed down his back. At this time, Gray didn¡¯t pay attention to this scrawny old man. Instead, he turned around and led the girl named Claire to a corner not far away. Interrogation, of course, was better to be done separately. This girl, in front of the white-haired old man, was too timid to say anything. ¡ Time ticked by slowly. In the blink of an eye, half an hour had passed. At this moment, in a corner of the island, the blonde Clare was already drenched in sweat. Her eyes were blurred, and her teeth were tightly biting her cherry lips. Those who did not know the situation would think that he had a big fight with her. However, Claire was willing to have a big fight with Professor Carl outside, and not to face Gray, who terrified her. After all, that cold and rough tail would occasionally brush past the hidden parts of her delicate body, and even her delicate cheeks. The feeling was not something that ordinary people could accept. Under such a threat, Claire, who knew how to protect herself, naturally told everything she knew to Gray. ¡°Claire, that¡¯s a pretty good name¡¡± With a chuckle, the corner of Gray¡¯s mouth curled up slightly, forming an inexplicable arc. This girl¡¯s name was Claire, and she came from the world¡¯s top university ¡ª Harvard University. This time, she had followed Professor Carl here to collect data on nuclear radiation. From her words, Gray had a rough understanding of the current situation in this world. ¡°This place is similar to the Blue Planet in my previous life. In terms of timeline, it should be around the end of the 21st century¡ ¡°However, the strange thing is that human technology at this time has yet to have a revolutionary breakthrough. It has even maintained the appearance of the 21st century, and even¡ The outer space of the universe had never been touched. ¡°And just a few months ago¡ a large-scale mutation occurred across the world. The creatures in various places underwent a series of mutations. Not only did their strength greatly increase, they were also extremely aggressive. ¡°And not only that, in this place of mutation, there were dozens of powerful mutated beasts that suddenly rose up and dominated a region. Although later on, due to some unknown reasons, they exploded and died, but their powerful and majestic strength left an indelible impression on the higher-ups of humanity. It was to the extent that after humanity dealt with them, they began to do their best to suppress the mutations in various places. ¡°And the mutated Komodo Island that I¡¯m on is a nuclear weapons testing ground for humans. When the nuclear weapons descended, even the island and most of the living things were wiped out. ¡°I¡¯m afraid that the higher-ups of the humans would never have thought that the radiation produced by the nuclear weapons would combine with this mysterious power, speeding up the mutation rate of the animals. It even evolved into a mutated creature with high intelligence like me.¡± ¡ As he continued to analyze, Gray was also sorting out his thoughts. Just as he had initially thought, this world was still the Blue Planet. It was just that the present was different from the past, and it had already ushered into a new era. ¡°Another cycle of life changing¡ Another great evolution of life¡¡± As he muttered softly, Gray¡¯s face revealed a thoughtful expression. This was definitely not a simple mutation. If it was a mutation, there should be good and bad. But now¡ What entered Gray¡¯s eyes was that most of the wild beasts were becoming stronger and stronger¡ This was evolution. True Evolution. It was the replacement of life, and it was also another transformation. Therefore¡ His eyes narrowed slightly, and Gray was looking forward to it even more. If that was really the case¡ Then as long as he properly seized the opportunity, perhaps this world really did have a place for him. Chapter 19 Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio At the thought of this, the flame of ambition in his heart grew infinitely in an instant. However, there was no need to rush things now. The most urgent matter at hand was still for Gray to verify the authenticity of the young girl¡¯s words. Thinking of this, Gray threw the disheveled and sweaty blonde girl to the ground. However, before he left¡ ¡°Roar¡¡± Suddenly, a low roar sounded. Gray lowered his head and extended his bloody mouth to the girl¡¯s shoulder. ¡°Pfft¡¡± It was the sound of sharp fangs piercing into flesh, leaving a small bite mark on the blonde girl¡¯s shoulder. ¡°Ah, no, don¡¯t eat me. I¡¯ve already told you the truth!¡± Seeing the steel giant lizard¡¯s sudden action, Claire let out a shrill scream. Her delicate little face was already covered in tears. However, in the next moment, the expected pain did not enter her brain. This made Claire very surprised. She was not eaten by the giant lizard, but was still alive? ¡°I¡ didn¡¯t¡ die?¡± With a tone full of disbelief, Claire looked at the strange spot on her shoulder in shock. On her fair shoulder, a slightly eye-catching bite mark had been deeply imprinted on it. ¡°Don¡¯t make a fuss. I have left a scent that belongs to me on your body. In other words, you had better not play tricks on me to escape. No matter where you run to, I can quickly follow the scent to find you. When that time comes, you yourself should know the outcome¡¡± ¡ In his soft words, Gray had already decided the ending for this blonde girl. This girl had been seriously contaminated by nuclear radiation. At this moment, without the help of the outside world, she probably didn¡¯t have much time left to live. Instead of using her and killing her, it was better to leave her on this island to fend for herself. Moreover, Gray had another idea in his mind. He needed the help of this girl named Claire to verify his inner thoughts. As long as it was an animal, it could mutate on this island. What if the animal was replaced with a human? What kind of wonderful discovery would there be then. Now, this mysterious island was filled with mysterious power. As long as it was the creatures on this island, after the nuclear explosion, the creatures that survived more or less had different levels of evolution and mutation. If what happened next to the girl was as he had guessed, then this human girl might also have a genetic mutation. However, all these guesses needed time to prove. The most important thing now was to find the white-haired old man not far away and see if the girl had lied to him. He believed that this seemingly knowledgeable old scholar should know more than he had imagined. ¡ It was a sleepless night. Several hours passed in the blink of an eye. Time passed quietly until the next day. During the night, Gray also interrogated the professor. The information that the professor revealed was roughly the same as what he knew from Claire. However, compared to Claire¡¯s vague description in many areas, Professor Carl¡¯s knowledge was more detailed, making up for Gray¡¯s lack of knowledge in certain areas. After a round of interrogation, Gray was quite satisfied with the results. Of course, as an exchange for his unreserved information, Gray let him go. Just like what happened to Claire, he and Claire were left to fend for themselves on the island. However, before he left, gray also injected a small amount of venom into his body as a way to find his way. The venom of the Komodo giant lizards had always been fatal, not to mention Gray, who had mutated several times. Although Gray had injected a small amount of venom into their bodies, it was still relatively fatal to them as humans. Just like now, the old professor, who was still lively before, was now lying on the ground like a dead dog, his whole body turning blue. ¡°The old man¡¯s resistance is relatively weak. I have forgotten about it. Forget it, let¡¯s leave it to fate!¡± While muttering softly, Gray turned his gaze to the young girl, Claire, who was not far away. Compared to Professor Carl¡¯s terrible reaction to the poison, as a young person, Claire¡¯s condition was obviously much better. She only looked slightly dizzy. But, forget it¡ The value of these two humans had been completely exhausted by him. There was no need to bother about them anymore. Anyway, this island was only this big. With the mark left behind, they would not be able to run away far. As long as they were still on this island, within a radius of tens of kilometers, Gray could track them through the unique scent he had left on them. As for now¡ ¡°It¡¯s time to start hunting.¡± Gray smiled in his heart as he happily took a few steps forward with his muscular short legs, heading towards the depths of the island. However, on his way, Gray suddenly thought of something and his eyes narrowed slightly. Returning to the center of the battlefield using the same route he had taken, he saw that the damaged helicopter was still there not far away. ¡°I almost forgot about this thing.¡± The eyes that represented his thoughts flickered continuously. Gray seemed to have thought of something and slowly opened his mouth. ¡°Roar.¡± An extremely suppressed roar could be heard. Gray spat out all the poison from the poison sac. ¡°Sizzle, sizzle, sizzle¡¡± The continuous sound of metal corrosion could be heard. The entire armed helicopter was decomposing and dissolving at a speed visible to the naked eye. After all, it was just an ordinary armed helicopter. The materials used to build it were relatively light and thin. Thus the defense of the fuselage was relatively average. This fuselage, which only looked strong on the outside, was like a thin piece of paper in front of Gray¡¯s venom. It shattered easily. ¡ A military helicopter was still very precious to Gray. Unfortunately, Gray did not know how to operate a military helicopter. Thus it would be troublesome for him to keep it. Moreover, there might be a GPS device or something hidden in it, although the signal might be blocked by the strong radiation. But to play safe, destruction was still the best option at the moment. The other reason was that Gray was afraid that Claire and Professor Carl would use the broken helicopter to escape from this horrible island. That would not be a situation Gray was happy to see. He did not want the two humans to leave the island alive with his secrets. Chapter 20 - Level 6 Mutated Beast Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio If Gray hadn¡¯t retained his human rationality and occasionally needed someone to talk to to relieve his boredom, as well as to verify a series of thoughts in his mind, he probably wouldn¡¯t have been able to refrain himself from killing the two of them long ago. ¡°You guys should really be glad that I still have a sliver of rationality. You should also be glad that you don¡¯t pose any threat to me¡¡± Turning back and smiling, he took a deep look into the distance. The two of them, who were at the edge of the island, did not know what to do. Under their incredulous expressions, they walked deeper into the island without even turning back. ¡ Time flew and in the blink of an eye, half a month had passed.. And one day in the second half of this month¡ ¡°Roar¡¡± It was a low roar that sounded like that of an ancient creature¡ Gray¡¯s entire body had become even larger due to his mutation and evolution. An even more powerful and stronger claw slowly extended out. Under the bright sunlight, it reflected an ice-cold metallic texture. A long and ferocious large tail spiraled was behind him. As it swayed slightly, it actually created a piercing sound in the air. Right now, Gray¡¯s body had already reached an astonishing six meters long. Even that shockingly large tail was over three meters long, and took up most of the size of his body. The reason for this was because Gray had already completed his sixth evolution today. That¡¯s right, the sixth evolution, not the fifth. He had already completed his fifth evolution more than 10 days ago. And now, it was his sixth evolution, and it was also his true step into the realm of Level 6 mutated beast. As for him, the reason why he could evolve so quickly was all attributed to the night of the battle, when the humans arrived and accidentally opened the battlefield. Just the evolution points alone, he had already plundered hundreds of them. And after he bid farewell to that group of humans, he started his fifth evolution in the depths of the island. And now, after more than 10 days of hunting, his evolution points had already been stored up. He directly found a hidden corner and started his sixth evolution. Two levels of mutation and evolution, it was not reaching the top in one go. But now, Gray felt that compared to his previous self, his current self was several times stronger than before. It was not an ordinary terror. Just this strength alone was at least a few tons. Gripping his claws tightly, Gray was also somewhat excited. His evolution did not mean that he was constantly mutating on a single aspect. But it meant that he was becoming stronger in all aspects. While his physical body was constantly strengthening, the energy contained in his body was also constantly increasing. According to his own rough estimates, the strength of his serious attack with his sharp claws was around 6,000 kg. After conversion, it was about three tons of force. However, this was still not the limit of his current explosive strength. His deadly tail was his true killing weapon! ¡°This precious tail of mine¡¡± Muttering softly, Gray¡¯s entire body was constantly tensed up as he gathered all the strength in his body onto the iron tail. At the same time, an unspeakable force was continuously surging. An unimaginable force slowly flowed towards the three-meter-long iron tail. At the next moment, the sound of air being torn apart was suddenly heard. ¡°Iron tail¡¡± With an explosive shout, Gray flung out his huge tail with all his strength. Then¡ ¡°Rumble, rumble¡¡± Accompanied by an earth-shaking loud sound, the solid ground was continuously trembling and wailing. Immediately after, huge rocks were flying everywhere. The ground was cracking, and spider-web-like patterns were continuously spreading on the surface of the ground everywhere. The thick dust on the ground was also splattered all over the sky. ¡°Crack, crack, crack¡¡± One after another, the ground cracked. What entered Gray¡¯s eyes was a huge pit that was four meters deep and 10 meters in diameter. This level of destruction was actually caused by him? Looking at the scene in front of him, which was like a purgatory on earth, Gray stared blankly for a long time, unable to extricate himself. In his previous life, this level of destructive power was something that he couldn¡¯t even touch. And this was accomplished so easily under his giant steel tail? Subsequent to his astonishment, he was deeply surprised. This was a true mighty force, a vast and mighty force that was enough to shatter everything. If Gray¡¯s forceful grasp was three tons of force, then this steel tail that he used all his strength had at least six tons of impact force. The difference by several times was not as simple as two being greater than one. But it was a true demonstration of how terrifying that tail was. It was also because of this that Gray had always used his tail as his ultimate killing move. If he didn¡¯t use it, it would be fine, but if he used it, it would be shocking. ¡°With such destructive power, even if it was a heavy truck that was coming at full speed, I could use my huge tail to sweep it to the ground.¡± As he muttered to himself, he revealed an unspeakable sense of self-satisfaction. ¡°Currently, I still have 90 evolution points left. Other than the overall body strengthening, strengthening any other ability will cost 70 evolution points¡¡± Turning his gaze, Gray also looked at his attribute panel. [ Race: mutated Komodo Dragon (?) Level: Level 6 mutated beast Evolution Points: 90¡ Skills: Sharp claws (Level 6) ¡ ] Other than this attribute panel, there was also a relatively small enhancement panel. So far, Gray had already stepped into the peak of a Level 6 mutated beast. Therefore, in the future, every time he strengthened his body, he would need 70 evolution points, and his entire body would need an astonishing 900 evolution points! However, there was no need to panic¡ This evolution point was neither too little nor too much. Gray believed that with his own hard work, he would definitely be able to step into a Level 7 mutated beast in another month or two. In fact, it wasn¡¯t impossible for him to step into a Level 8 mutated beast. As long as he continued to hunt and devour, he would definitely become stronger in the future. Grinning, Gray focused on the skill that he had just awakened due to evolution. This should be the reward for every upgrade. Like previously, when he had just stepped into a Level 4 mutated beast, he had obtained the skill of Steel Tail. When he reached Level 5, he had awakened a new skill, Venom, which could condense and refine toxin from poison, increasing the power of the poison slightly. And now, he had just become a Level 6 mutated beast, and he had naturally awakened a new skill, Roar of Fierce Beast. As he spoke, he noticed the extraordinariness of this skill. [ Roar of Fierce Beast: infuse your own spiritual power into your roar. It will increase the power of your roar and your morale. If the opponents¡¯ will power is weak, it is very easy to cause them mental breakdown. ] ¡°It¡¯s indeed not a bad ability.¡± Chapter 21 - Where the Mutated Wild Boars Gathered Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio Looking at this decent support skill, Gray nodded his head in satisfaction. As a decent support skill, it wasn¡¯t too bad. In terms of ability alone, it was still worth investing and developing. Therefore, in the future, after the Steel Tail, he would have another skill that required a large amount of evolution points. As for the Level 5 awakening skill, Venom, it was of little value to the Gray at the moment. The current condition of his poison was considerably good, and he didn¡¯t need much strengthening in the short term. On the contrary, he really needed a large-scale destructive skill like Roar of Fierce Beast. And at this moment, it was also time to try out this new skill that he had obtained. Thinking of this, Gray slowly straightened his body from the ground, stretching and relaxing. . ¡°Kacha, kacha¡¡± The sound of bones colliding against each other continuously rang out. An extremely mysterious aura of a superior lifeform also rose up around Gray. This was an unimaginable suppressive force of a superior lifeform, causing the surrounding air to become extremely hot and humid. At this moment, after thinking for a long time, Gray finally decided on a test target. He quickly walked in the direction of the place he had in mind. ¡ Gray couldn¡¯t be more familiar with this mutated island. The wild boar¡¯s gathering place was one of the few places on the island where beasts gathered. After the nuclear explosion, the wild boars here had undergone the baptism of nuclear radiation, resulting in countless deaths and injuries. Only a few dozen robust wild boars were left on the verge of death. This group of mutated beasts should not be underestimated just because they were on the verge of death. They had gone through the baptism of nuclear radiation, and each of them was indeed an extraordinary beast that had gone through mutation and evolution. Not long ago, the Level 3 mutated wild boar that was on the human-beast battlefield had walked out from this wild boar¡¯s gathering place. Gray, who was tracking his prey and happened to come here, couldn¡¯t help but exclaim that this was a good place with good feng shui. From time to time, he would come here to hunt for food. This group of mutated wild boars was quite fertile. Therefore, it didn¡¯t matter if he occasionally came here to abduct two of them. Gray wouldn¡¯t go so far as to kill the goose that laid the golden egg. This was because the meat quality of these mutated wild boars was one of the best delicacies on this island. It could greatly satisfy his appetite. Raw meat was even considered excellent for someone like him, who wouldn¡¯t reject any kind of food. Not to mention if it was cooked and served on a human¡¯s dining table, which would be a top-notch delicacy. While he was thinking¡ ¡°Ta, ta, ta¡¡± Along with the sound of footsteps, within a few minutes, a ferocious looking mutated giant beast appeared at the outskirts of the wild boar¡¯s gathering place. It was an ice-cold giant beast that was six to seven meters long. From its appearance, one could not tell what kind of race it was. One could only tell that it was a reptile from its continuous crawling. His pitch-black scales protected his muscular body under the scales. Under the scorching sun, he emitted a cold light that was particularly eye-catching. Just as this world-shaking giant beast arrived at the outskirts of the wild boar¡¯s gathering place¡ ¡°Huff, huff, huff¡¡± The cries of the frightened boars continuously sounded within the place where the wild boars gathered. The wild boar was a creature that was famous for its outstanding nose even before it mutated and evolved. They had sensed it. They had sensed the predator that had hunted them many times over the past few months. ¡°Huff huff¡¡± Amidst the noisy cries, a mutated wild boar that was as big as an African elephant slowly walked out from the group of the wild boars. It was the king of this race, a Level 4 mutated beast. It was good at charging and was also the most vengeful existence. It would never forget the aura of its old opponent until the day it died. At this moment, if one looked towards the direction of the sunlight, one could even see a half-meter-long claw mark deep on his lower abdomen. It had not healed up until now, and the rotten meat kept appearing outwards. It was clear how strong the owner of the claw was. This mutated wild boar king would never forget that the day before last month, this monster had kidnapped his five children! And this scar was the result of his life-and-death battle with Gray. ¡°Huff, huff¡¡± The Wild Boar King gave an order, and a huge mutated wild boar that was the size of an African elephant led the herd of mutated wild boars behind him out. ¡°Rumble, rumble¡¡± The ground shook rhythmically, and close to dozens of black-skinned wild boars charged forward like new tanks. The ground undulated continuously, creating countless mists. It looked like a army troop. However, what they didn¡¯t know was how undefeatable the monster they were about to face was. It was the overlord of this island, a peak Level 6 mutated giant lizard. A Level 4 Wild Boar King leading a group of Level 3 mutated wild boars to face a completely mutated Level 6 beast would be like hitting a rock with an egg. There was no chance of winning. ¡°Roar!¡± Dozens of wild boars suddenly heard an extremely terrifying roar. The loud roar shook and tore apart their internal organs. As the naked eye could see, a circle of invisible ultrasonic waves spread rapidly in the air. Immediately after, under Gray¡¯s expectant gaze, a miracle happened. When the group of wild boars that came menacingly heard this roar, their entire bodies trembled, and they just stood there foolishly. It was as if they had received some inexplicable shock. Many wild boars, due to inertia of motion, stumbled and fell onto the bodies of wild boars of the same race. Amidst the continuous roars, the charging formation of the mutated wild boars was suddenly thrown into chaos. ¡°Although the power of this Roar of Fierce Beast is only at Level 1, its effect is much better than I expected. Its power is actually so great!¡± Looking at the comical scene caused by his roar, Gray nodded his head in satisfaction. It was not bad. Not bad at all! After all, it was a masterpiece that he created himself. Moreover, it was only at Level 1. The subsequent development was completely worth investing evolution points in. Although he was very satisfied with the power of his new skill, the most important thing now was the herd of mutated wild boars that were charging towards him. ¡°Hehe, I can have a good meal again¡¡± Grinning, there was an indescribable sinister feeling. Gray also accelerated on the spot. ¡°Rumble.¡± With a loud rumble, his large and narrow body was like an arrow that had gone off the bow as he dashed into the herd of mutated wild boars. Then¡ Chapter 22 - The Lizard Girl, Claire Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio Of course, there was no ¡°then¡±¡ A peak Level 6 mutated beast facing a group of Level 3 mutated beasts was like a tiger entering a flock of sheep, or an adult beating up a child. It was like the difference between the clouds and the mud. Wherever Gray passed by, blood was dripping everywhere, and scarlet blood was flowing everywhere. ¡°Slash¡¡± A cold light flashed. Looking closely, a peak Level 2 mutated wild boar had already been split in two by Gray¡¯s iron claw. Fresh blood spurted out like a column of water, half a meter high.. However, this terrifying scene was only the beginning. ¡°Roar!¡± Amidst the unintentional growl, Gray¡¯s teeth had already viciously bit onto the neck of a wild boar that was charging at him. Then, he fiercely swung it. A large wild boar that looked to weigh over 600 kg was like a kite with a broken string. It was like a rubber ball that possessed extraordinary kinetic energy as it bounced up, ruthlessly smashing towards a few mutated wild boars that were charging towards him not too far away. With a loud ¡®bang¡¯, it was as if a person was thrown off his horse. Several mutated wild boars were thrown off their feet due to this sudden occurence. And at the same time that the wild boar was flying¡ ¡°Activate the Steel Tail.¡± With a sudden explosive shout, Gray also raised his ferocious huge tail high up. Immediately after¡ ¡°Rumble¡¡± Following a terrifying loud sound, a mutated wild boar that was charging towards him was actually smashed into pieces. Yes, it was sent flying head-on, and its flesh and blood flew everywhere. It was smashed into pieces, leaving behind a trail of blood mist, as well as that mournful wail. ¡ This was a massacre of wild boars, and the executioner was really the current Gray. Facing Gray, who had stepped into the peak of Level 6 mutated beast, the wild boars that had gathered the strength of their entire race to resist seemed so small and powerless. They were also like moths flying towards the fire. In just a few minutes, the remaining wild boars were completely slaughtered by Gray. Only the limbs of countless animals and the ground that was dyed red with blood were left behind. If one were to look at the center of the battlefield at this moment, one would see a giant steel lizard that was bathed in fresh blood. It was raising its head high. It seemed to be enjoying the fragrance of fresh blood. ¡°This operation should have at least several hundred evolution points.¡± Sighing, Gray was clear about one thing. This novice village island to him could no longer retain him. After all, the island was still a small place. The mutated wild boar herd that he had just slaughtered was already the largest mutated beast herd on the entire island. Today, he had ransacked this place like a bandit. This also meant that there was no other place on the entire island that could harvest evolution points on a large scale like this one. This kind of feng shui treasure land had always been something that could only be found by chance. Therefore¡ Leaving at this moment was inevitable¡ However¡ At this moment, Gray seemed to have remembered that he had forgotten something and stuck out his tongue towards the sky. ¡°Hiss, hiss¡¡± Spitting out his tongue like a snake, Gray caught the scent that he was looking for. ¡°It¡¯s been more than half a month since I last saw them. I should go and see them. After all, I might not be able to see them again in the future¡¡± Grinning, Gray no longer cared about the debris on the ground. He walked towards a direction of the island without turning his head back. As for the debris on the ground, he would leave it to the island as the final nourishment. ¡°Ta, ta, ta¡¡± One step after another, a six-meter-long ice-cold giant beast was walking on the ground. Although it looked comical, its ferocious appearance was something that no one could look down upon. Wherever it went, not a single grass would grow. The earth seemed to be unable to bear its weight and let out an unbearable wail. However, this monster seemed to have found the thing that he had been dreaming of. It actually stopped at a certain place. Following his gaze, he finally found the thing that he had been thinking about day and night. Not far away, a human-shaped white skeleton lay quietly on the dry ground. From the looks of it, it should be the white-haired professor¡¯s skeleton. Judging from the degree of decay, he didn¡¯t even make it through the following night after being injected with the poison by Gray. As for the other one¡ Slowly raising his eyes, Gray noticed that at the end of the horizon of the bright sun, there was actually a beautiful figure, This human-shaped figure was none other than the blonde beauty Claire. However, from her appearance, she seemed to be in a rather miserable state. She was far from being as stunning as when they first met. Her white protective suit had disappeared without a trace. The clothes on her body were more than half tattered, and a large portion of her skin was exposed. However, her skin was not as fair as Gray had imagined. It was pitch-black, as if the owner of her skin had not cleaned it for a long time. It could even be said that it was covered in scars and was shocking to the eye. Therefore, it didn¡¯t look that pleasing to the eye. Instead, it looked a little terrifying. ¡°You¡ finally¡ came. I thought I would never see you again¡¡± Her words were intermittent and weak. It was hard to imagine what kind of torture the young girl had suffered during this period of time. Moreover, her voice was hoarse and lacked the soft tone unique to young girls. At this moment, Gray noticed that some black scales that looked like fish scales had appeared on Claire¡¯s arm. ¡°Could this be¡¡± With a face full of disbelief, Gray lowered his head and looked down at his body. The color of the scales on her body was exactly the same as the one on his body. It was just that there was still some difference in the shape. ¡°That¡¯s not possible¡¡± As he became more and more surprised, Gray¡¯s eyes also focused. A blue attribute panel appeared in front of Gray¡¯s eyes. However, this was not his own, but the ¡®human girl¡¯ in front of him, Claire¡¯s. In the past half a month, the biggest gain was still this ability he had obtained. He was able to spend a certain amount of spiritual power to check the attribute panels of other creatures. And now, Gray naturally spent a little of his spiritual power to check Claire¡¯s. [ Race: mutated human (Claire) Level: Level 2 Abilities: Giant lizard scales: scales similar to mutated giant lizards covering the surface of body. It it can greatly increase the defensive abilities of a half-human. Giant lizard strength: compared to ordinary human elites, her strength has been greatly increased¡ Even her physical attributes had improved qualitatively¡ She could pull a small truck by herself. ] ¡°Half human, half lizard¡¡± While muttering softly, Gray looked at the girl who was walking towards him, and the corners of his mouth curled up slightly. As he had guessed, only with the support of this special spiritual aura could humans evolve and mutate. It seemed that this was not just an era of mutated beasts. It was also an era of further sublimation for humans. Chapter 23 - A Brand New Spiritual World Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio However, could this giant lizard girl, Claire, really still be called a ¡®human¡¯? Sizing her up carefully, Gray looked at her from head to toe. Her limbs were just like humans in the past. They were still hands and feet. The only difference was those dense, black and green scales, one would see them from other parts of her body from time to time. Compared to before, her teeth were sharper and more pointed, especially those two canine teeth, which were protruding. Her body had also become slightly thinner. She had lost her original sense of beauty, and the muscles on her body had become firmer. Vaguely, Gray could even see Claire¡¯s chest and abdominal muscles. . However, these were not the most important things. Right now, her eyes were listless and unfocused, and her pupils had lost their luster. It was as if she had lost her soul. When she walked, she was like the distracted zombies in the movies, not knowing where she was going. ¡°Oh? interesting. It seems that my assumption was right. It seems that you have also obtained this magical power in the past half a month. How are you feeling?¡± The spiritual frequency vibrated continuously, and Gray greeted Claire in his mind. ¡°I¡¯m fine¡¡± Her lips, which had become dry and flat due to dehydration, squirmed, but she did not manage to say anything in the end. She slowly raised her right hand and opened her fingers. Her fingernails were actually slowly lengthening and extending, finally forming a sharp claw with a metallic texture. ¡°Tsk tsk, interesting. Could it be¡ ?¡± Gray smacked his lips in disdain. He was also particularly interested in the young girl¡¯s actions. If it was really as he had guessed, then it would be even more interesting. ¡°Move your hand, move quickly! Hurry up and prove your strength. Don¡¯t you want to avenge yourself and Professor Carl? Hurry up and do it. Let me see your true strength after you have mutated. Maybe you can use this new power to kill me?¡± To the golden-haired girl, the steel lizard¡¯s words were like Satan¡¯s enticement to Lucifer. The conditions it offered were so tempting and fatal. Looking at the golden-haired ¡®girl¡¯ who didn¡¯t dare to make a move, Gray used his spirit to attack the girl¡¯s brain repeatedly. This caused the girl¡¯s already overloaded spirit to feel more pressure. Finally, the girl in front of him seemed to have a string snapped in her brain. She accelerated on the spot and rushed towards him from afar. That was not a speed that a human could have. In a few seconds, a human and a lizard had met. A few centimeters of sharp metal claws also shot out and slashed at Gray¡¯s head. ¡°You b*stard, give me¡¡± Before the blonde girl could finish her words, a loud rumble was heard. The ground shook violently, and amidst a burst of smoke, a human-shaped object was seen smashing heavily onto the ground. At this moment, looking towards the source of the sound, an extremely shocking scene happened. The head of this young girl, who was charging towards Gray aggressively, was actually pressed deeply into the ground by Gray¡¯s palm. It was pressed in, not slapped. If it was a slap, how could her cute and delicate little head withstand a casual blow from a Level 6 mutated beast? It was likely that she would have already been split into pieces like a watermelon. However, even with the slightest pressure, Claire¡¯s appearance wasn¡¯t too good. It could even be described as miserable. Dark green blood splattered everywhere. Her entire head was buried deep into the earth. Before she could recover from this, she felt that her entire body was tightly bound. ¡°Rumble¡¡± Following another loud rumble, her entire body flew out. And the culprit that caused all these was surprisingly Gray¡¯s ferocious and huge iron tail. ¡ He slowly raised his eyes and looked at the figure flying over 10 meters away. The corners of Gray¡¯s mouth curled up slightly. ¡°Remember, this is just a small warning. You are welcome to take revenge anytime, if you can do it, of course. You may not be so lucky next time. Perhaps your life will also fall into my hands.¡± The spiritual waves continued to emit vibrations. Gray lifted his feet and looked at the distant island¡¯s boundary as he walked. He was prepared to leave this godforsaken place. As for the pitiful blonde girl, she naturally flew out and fiercely smashed onto the ground, creating a circle of dust. It was such a magnificent sight. However, fortunately, she was a Level 2 mutated creature. Her physique was different from the human body in the past. Although this injury was still considered heavy to her, it was far from fatal. Relying on her own body to repair it to the extreme was not a problem. And now, the young girl heard this and slowly got up from the ground. Her gaze was fixed on Gray¡¯s back as he left. ¡°Do you want to stay here and be divided up by those mutated beasts?¡± Another voice full of playfulness shook Claire¡¯s soul. Other than taking revenge, her biggest motivation and obsession now was to live on. Living on was more important than anything else. Otherwise, the beautiful Claire would not have turned into this neither human nor ghost appearance. She wanted to live on and see her family again, even if it was just once. Then, she straightened her broken body, hunched her back, and limped behind Gray. ¡ She still retained her human nature after all. Even though she had gone through mutation and evolution, because of the short period of time, no matter how strong her body was, her spirit was still stuck at the human stage. In this approximate half a month, on this island that was like hell on earth, she had already mentally broken down. Being a beautiful girl who was usually pampered, on this island that was like hell, she did not even have a single bite of cooked food. There was only the rotten animal corpses. However, for the sake of the few thoughts in her heart, she had to endure the extreme rejection brought about by her physiological reaction. She had to endure the nausea and eat the rotten corpse piece by piece. Not only that, she also had to engage in a life and death battle with the mutated beasts that came to snatch her food. Fortunately, Gray had left his own scent mark on her body. As a result, the slightly stronger mutated beasts did not dare to approach Claire. Otherwise, this delicate and pretty girl would have long turned into a skeleton in the grave. After repeating this over and over again every day, it was understood why Claire¡¯s mental state was so abnormal. It could even be said that Gray was one of the few obsessions she lived on. And now, she had used up the last bit of her courage to fight back without caring about her own safety. However, in front of Gray¡¯s powerful strength, she was so weak. In a real sense, it had destroyed her will to live. The current Claire was a real walking corpse. To her, she would rather die than live. ¡ After realizing that there was something wrong with Claire, which Gray might have thought of, he didn¡¯t kill her. Instead, he used his spiritual power to call her to follow him. This way, he used his spiritual power again and again. Gray thought that if he couldn¡¯t even control a woman whose spirit was on the verge of collapse, then the legendary spiritual power in his previous life was over exaggerated. After all, in his previous life, he had heard of a supernatural power called hypnosis. Chapter 24 - The Battle of Besieged Beasts Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio Putting aside the hypnosis, with the help of the system¡¯s power, Gray had indeed mastered the usage of basic psychic power. Logically speaking, enslaving a girl with a weak will and mental breakdown shouldn¡¯t be a difficult task. Therefore, Gray wanted to give it a try no matter what. Would he be able to subtly make this mutated giant lizard girl see him as a spiritual pillar, turning her into a puppet that only listened to his orders? He couldn¡¯t rush through the plan. He needed a long time to try out. This was because changing a person¡¯s mind required a very long time. Gray needed to use psychic hints time and time again, accompanied by the coordination of hints and actions. For example, his tail would stroke that beautiful face, and his tongue would lick the girl¡¯s skin. This way, when this lizard girl reconstructed her mental world and walked out of seclusion, Gray¡¯s figure would be deeply imprinted in the girl¡¯s mind until she died.. When that time came, if Gray¡¯s guess was correct, he would become Claire¡¯s new master. She would then do as she was told. What was worth mentioning here was that he did not know whether it was the influence of the subjects he had learned in his previous life or the ancient bloodline after the mutation and evolution¡ He had an extremely strong desire for control. He liked to control everything of others, and he liked to control the souls of all things in the world. And the psychology that he had learned could allow him to understand and even control the thoughts of others to a certain extent. What he did today was just applying what he had learned in the past to reality. Of course, this was still slightly different from the academic aspect, which was the use of psychic power. ¡°Ta, ta, ta¡¡± Step by step, an ice-cold black steel beast slowly walked on the ground. And a few meters behind him, there was actually a human girl. However, if one were to look carefully, one would notice that this girl¡¯s eyes were lifeless, and her pupils had lost their luster. It was as if nothing in this world could pique her interest. ¡°Forget it, just treat it as taking care of a child. Catch it properly!¡± With a sweep of his tail, he wrapped it tightly around a Level 2 mutated wild deer that he had just killed. Then, he threw it at the girl behind her. ¡°Roar.¡± The human girl let out a low roar. He saw the human girl following closely behind him actually made a move that was very non-human. With a sudden leap, she jumped five meters high from where she was and pounced towards the mutated deer in the air. ¡°This strength and reaction are not bad. As expected of a Level 2 mutated creature.¡± He watched the scene of the girl eating with great interest. His words did not conceal his praise to the girl at all. As expected, a beast that did not know anything else except the basic instincts was the most terrifying. And now, Claire was a beast that only had instincts without rationale. If he taught her well, she would probably be a pretty good killing machine in the future. ¡ After 10 minutes or so of Claire wolfing down her food, Gray brought her to the beach not far away. There was a mutated sea turtle waiting for him there. ¡°Hiss¡¡± The snake-like forked tongue continuously discerned its own biological scent on the ground. After knowing the direction, Gray let the young girl ride on his back and rushed to the destination without stopping. However, when they arrived at the scene, Gray saw that the giant mutated sea turtle was surrounded and attacked by a herd of beasts not far away. Gray was startled. An unknown fire was slowly rising in his heart. How could his own family be allowed to be touched by others? There were a total of six mutated giant lizards surrounding this mutated sea turtle. They even bit it from time to time. And this mutated giant sea turtle had long reached the peak of Level 3 mutated beast when Gray sparred with it. It was several levels stronger than the surrounding giant lizards. But in the end, it was outnumbered and heavily injured. And it could only hide within the turtle shell, trembling. Unfortunately, the turtle shell that had been damaged by the nuclear explosion not long ago had yet to fully recover. As a result, these giant mutated lizards had found a way to break through. A Level 2 mutated giant lizard opened its mouth and spat out its innate venom into the broken entrance. Instantly sizzling sounds of corrosion rang out. And the pain had caused the mutated sea turtle to let out an earth-shaking wail. ¡°Wu¡¡± As he sobbed and vented, there was an indescribable sense of desolation. Although he regarded the giant turtle as a training object, after more than 10 days of interaction, he already had feelings for this turtle. After all, it belonged to him. Even if he wanted to kill it, he would do it himself. How could these beasts dare to do this. Seeing this, Gray didn¡¯t hesitate anymore. Of course, more importantly, Gray had taken a fancy to the bloodline power contained in these mutated Komodo giant lizards. Until now, Gray still couldn¡¯t forget the bloodline power he had extracted from those mutated giant lizards. That kind of soaring feeling that rushed straight to the lungs was still unforgettable. Due to the nuclear explosion, not many mutated giant lizards were left. They were was not enough for him to fully recover his bloodline. Otherwise, he would have long treated these mutated giant lizards as his food and slaughtered them all. This was also one of the reasons why Gray chose to leave the island. After destroying the mutated wild boars, the mutated giant lizards were the largest group of mutated creatures on this island. He needed to give them some time to allow the remaining mutated giant lizards to multiply and grow. After a period of time, he would find some time to come back and harvest the mutated giant lizards here. It still would not be too late. At that time, his bloodline would reach 100%, which would be the true awakening of the ancient bloodline. However, now that they had come to seek death, he naturally didn¡¯t mind taking action in advance. The texture of the giant lizard¡¯s flesh was pretty good. Thinking of this, Gray accelerated with a charge. Like a tiger in the wind and lightning, the tiger entered the flock of sheep. It started a feast of slaughter without any resistance. With mournful cries one after another, the six mutated giant lizards surrounding the giant mutant sea turtle continuously soared into the air, splashing blood all over the sky. On the other side, Gray also used his mouth to accurately lock the throat of a mutated giant lizard. Chapter 25 - Plague Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio ¡°Kacha¡¡± After a series of consecutive movements, Gray also heard the familiar and melodious notification sound. ¡°Ding dong, it has been detected that the host is devouring the flesh and blood of a Level 2 mutated giant lizard. Obtained + 20 evolution points and 0.2% bloodline extraction.¡± The crisp system notification sound made Gray feel an unprecedented joy. Sure enough, it was this feeling that he was infatuated with that he couldn¡¯t stop. Therefore, you low-intelligence giant lizards, reproduce and reproduce, and strive for your limited time. . Waiting for his next return, it would be the time for Gray¡¯s ancient bloodline to be fully activated. In the blink of an eye, Gray completely finished off the six mutated giant lizards on the spot. The giant sea turtle was left alone on the beach, crying and sobbing. However, perhaps it was because Gray had saved it, it slowly crawled over and stuck out its sticky tongue, like a puppy that was close to its owner. Its expression was full of ingratiation. ¡°You want to lick me? Dream on.¡± With a chuckle, Gray took advantage of the situation and rolled over, avoiding the giant turtle¡¯s fawning actions. Then, he used his psychic power to communicate. Without beating around the bush, he said bluntly, ¡°You stupid fellow, are you interested in going somewhere other than this island with me¡¡± ¡°Roar!¡± As if it had understood what Gray was trying to say, the giant turtle also let out an excited neigh. Then, because it was moving too fast, the scabbed wound opened up once again, causing the turtle to grimace in pain. Mutated beasts were simple. They only had simple intelligence and were not developed. They were very easy to coax, as long as one treated them well. No, it could even be said that coaxing was not required. The instinct of animals was to seek out the strong. As long as one was stronger than them and treated them better, they would naturally submit to it. Previously, Gray was also glad that he had provided the giant turtle with three meals continuously for dozens of days, allowing it to pass through the most difficult period since it was born. And now, he had once again saved it. This made the giant turtle even more grateful and would remember it forever. Therefore, the cross-racial subjugation that was very difficult to achieve for others was actually so easy for him. With another powerful subordinate, Gray was naturally pleased with himself. He raised his feet again and walked towards the horizon in the distance. Behind him, besides the blonde girl, there was also a large khaki turtle the size of a small car carrying the blonde girl. In this manner, Gray and the other two embarked on their journey out of the island. The Komodo Island was 40 kilometers long from the north to the south, and 20 kilometers wide from the east to the west. It was constantly hilly, hot and dry. There were trees and grasslands. Such an island was between Songba Island and Flo Island. However, these two islands were several times larger than the small Komodo Island. There might be many more mutated beasts on the island. Suddenly Gray remembered that he still had something to do. Thinking of this, Gray brought the giant turtle and Claire, who was on the turtle¡¯s back, to the edge of the Komodo Island. He then instructed them. ¡°You guys stay here for a while. I have to go somewhere. There¡¯s still one more thing I need to do.¡± After that, without looking at their expressions, Gray lifted his feet and walked toward the center of the island without looking back. There was a bottomless sinkhole, and around it was Gray¡¯s ¡®hometown¡¯, the first place he woke up in this world. It was also the center of the nuclear explosion. Everything had many unsolved secrets waiting for him to explore. There were shocking nuclear radiation and the ¡®unknown¡¯ that everything feared. Before leaving the island, Gray had to go there to find out what was going on. ¡ In the blink of an eye, about 10 minutes later, Gray finally ran all the way to his destination. He looked at the bottomless ring-shaped hole in front of him. Gray stopped at the edge of the hole and thought for a while. What he saw was pitch black. It was as if the air around the entire area had been distorted by the huge amount of nuclear radiation. The air was very humid. However, it seemed to be different from before. This pit seemed to have been even deeper than before? Amidst his surprise, Gray was keenly aware of this fact. This man-eating pit that looked like a ¡°black hole¡± was still continuously extending downwards. If it was given enough time, it might not be able to reach the core of the Earth. Putting aside this unfathomable large hole, Gray, who was feeling extremely uncomfortable from the surrounding air, activated his psychic perception ability. The surrounding scene made his hair stand on end. An unimaginable amount of nuclear radiation had gathered here. Even the deepest part of the hole, which was visible to the naked eye, was constantly flashing with a dark green light. It was a material light formed from the condensation of too many nuclear radiation elements. What was worth mentioning was that nuclear radiation would speed up the evolution of animals, provided that they did not die from it. And now, in the deepest part of this pit, there were actually so many nuclear radiation elements. Could it be¡ As if he had figured out something crucial, Gray¡¯s pupils kept contracting and enlarging. ¡°That¡¯s right. If that¡¯s the case, then everything makes sense¡¡± After being filled with shock, Gray seemed to have understood something. It was as if he had missed out on the greatest opportunity that he had obtained since he had transmigrated and awakened.` If he, who had been ignorant back then, had discovered this place earlier, his current level of mutation and evolution would definitely not be limited to this. Fortunately, it was not too late to make amends. Taking a deep look at the pitch-black cave, Gray nodded and made up his mind. He would go all out! ¡°Ta, ta, ta¡¡± Raising his feet, Gray slowly walked towards the deepest part of the cave. ¡ What entered his eyes was pitch-black. He couldn¡¯t see the end of it. If Gray didn¡¯t have the ability to sense heat, he wouldn¡¯t have dared to step into this place. But now, his eyes focused, and the ability to sense heat was activated. But in the next moment¡ ¡°Boom¡¡± Suddenly, there was a loud bang, and Gray¡¯s mind shook. This was because, at this moment, tens of thousands of red shadows imprinted themselves into Gray¡¯s mind. ¡°Rats? This place has turned into a rat nest?¡± With a shout, Gray ¡®looked¡¯ at the tens of thousands of red shadows, and his scalp went numb. It wasn¡¯t just one or two. It was tens of thousands! Chapter 26 Gray, who was stunned by the scene before him, didn¡¯t hesitate at all and began his massacre. A massacre without any warning. There were simply too many mutated rats here. There were at least tens of thousands of them. Moreover, the lowest level of mutation was Level 2, not to mention that there were a few Level 4 existences within. ¡°Kill!¡± If he waited until these mutated rats gathered together, it would be too late to say anything. It¡¯s not that he did not understand the principle of many ants killing an elephant. While the rats were still immersed in the joy of evolution, a massacre had already begun. ¡°Roar!¡± Accompanied by a soul-stirring roar, his Level 6 sharp claws were like the scythe of the Grim Reaper, tearing through the air mercilessly, reaping the lives of the rats.. ¡°Slash, slash¡¡± Several consecutive sounds rang out, and in the blink of an eye, the limbs of several mutated rats flew out in all directions. Their intestines and blood splattering all over the ground. As they continued to fight, Gray discovered a problem. Although these rats weren¡¯t big after mutating, and were only slightly larger than ordinary rats, their sharp front teeth were much larger than before, just like his huge tail. They looked extremely sharp. At a glance, it made people shudder. And now, just as Gray killed a few Level 2 mutated rats decisively, a strong smell of blood also spread. This strong smell of blood wafted 10 miles away, and very sharp and ear-piercing beast¡¯s neigh suddenly sounded from all directions. ¡°Squeak, squeak¡¡± Looking at the scene in front of him, Gray could not help but recall King Xiang who had killed himself at Wujiang River in his previous life. Was the scene as spectacular as this? ¡°Rumble, rumble, rumble¡¡± An extremely loud noise interrupted Gray¡¯s train of thought. The entire pit was agitated by the smell of blood. Following the direction of his heat sensing ability, a torrent of mutated rats gathered one after another, sweeping over at lightning speed. ¡°It¡¯s finally here¡¡± Looking around vigilantly, Gray did not make the first move. He knew that if he made a move rashly, he might be at a disadvantage. Right now, he only needed to do one thing. Save his strength and win with a single strike! This was an unprecedented tough battle for him. One against ten thousands! Not only were there low-level mutated rats, there were also countless Level 3 rats. There were even a few Level 4 rat kings. And the scale defense that he was so proud of was no longer unbeatable in front of these rats that were evolving towards sharp teeth. Perhaps one or two of them would be fine. After all, a small amount of water could pierce through a stone. Even a Level 6 scale defense might be damaged here. Therefore, how could he make a mistake in this battle? Otherwise, what awaited him would be the heavy price of death. ¡°Rumble, rumble¡¡± The tremors continued to intensify. Soon after, one mutated rat after another continued to spurt out from the various holes. And right at this moment¡ ¡°Squeak, squeak, squeak!¡± An extremely sharp screech came from the deepest part of the cave. Countless mutated rats seemed to have received some sort of order and actually swarmed towards him. A black torrent of mutated rats, Gray could feel the ground under his feet shaking continuously. Facing the ferocious beast tide, Gray didn¡¯t dare to be the slightest bit negligent. He slowly opened his smelly big mouth. ¡°Roar¡¡± With an angry roar, Gray spat out half of the venom that he had saved for more than half a month. The green venom was in a scattering state, flying towards the enemies in all directions. ¡°Zi, zi, zi¡¡± In the continuous sound of flesh corrosion, countless mournful wails were also constantly transmitted. Although his naked eyes could not observe the situation, Gray through heat sensing ability found that the lethality of his venom was really extraordinary. At least hundreds of mutated rats were dissolved by the deadly venom before they could even react. There were even more mutated rats, which might have accidentally come into contact with the venom, lying on the ground wailing in pain and bleeding profusely. This was a mutated rat nest. If it was in today¡¯s human society, this was a beast tide that was no less destructive than a tsunami. They didn¡¯t know what fear was, and they wouldn¡¯t stop their charging footsteps just because of fear. What they had was the selfless sacrifice that came one after another. ¡°You¡¯re courting death!¡± With a loud shout, as if due to the hidden bloodline, Gray could not hold it in any longer. He suddenly accelerated forward and charged into the group of mutated rats. ¡°Boom¡¡± Accompanied by this earth-shattering sound, countless mutated rats were actually sent flying under Gray¡¯s charge. Their tendons and veins were broken, and blood and flesh flew everywhere. However, the rats did not stop their advance because of this sudden change. Of course, Gray would not admit defeat. He either reached out his claws or wagged his tail. He used every part of his body, turning them all into deadly weapons in Gray¡¯s hands. He threw them at the rats that were coming from all directions. However, no matter how powerful the mutated creatures were, their energy was still limited. In the end, it was difficult to care about their heads and tails. ¡°Squeak, squeak!¡± In a moment of carelessness, amidst a cacophony of roars, dozens of mutated rats had already scurried onto Gray¡¯s back. They opened their mouths wide, and their sharp teeth were moving continuously and emitting cold rays in all directions. Following that¡ ¡°Kacha, kacha.¡± One after another, the unimaginable pain did not come. Their sharp incisors were instead broken by the hard scales. It did not break through Gray¡¯s defense. However, even so, Gray was very unhappy. Who would want to have a bug on them? However, he had to admit that these mutated rats were indeed a great threat to him. Just a dozen or so Level two mutated rats could actually get close to him. Moreover, they almost bit through his scales. Then what about the Level 3 or even Level 4 mutated rats? If he let them get close to him, then wouldn¡¯t he¡ Thinking of this, Gray felt a chill run down his spine. ¡ ¡°Die!¡± In his outburst of rage, Gray felt the blood in his body boiling and burning just like the first time he extracted the concentration of his bloodline. ¡°Du, du, du!¡± As his blood surged, his bloodline continued to evaporate and boil. Even Gray¡¯s body was emitting a faint blood-red steam. That was the sign of his blood boiling. Through the accelerated circulation of his blood, he could greatly increase his speed and strength. However, this method was extremely dangerous, and it was easy to cause a huge burden to his heart. This was indeed a vicious method of killing a thousand enemies at the cost of eight hundred casualties. However, for the time being, Gray had only temporarily increased his body temperature by a large margin, causing those low level mutated rats that couldn¡¯t endure the high temperature to flee from his body. And it was at this moment that Gray hardened his heart, and dived into the group of higher-level mutated rats. Chapter 27 The battle seemed to be endless. The mutated rats didn¡¯t seem to know what fear was. They surrounded and attacked Gray one after another. Even Gray himself had become somewhat numb from the attacks. Fresh blood soaked Gray¡¯s entire body. Even his pitch-black eyes had become bright red and demonic. Everything he saw was blood-red. Some of the fresh blood belonged to the mutated rats, and some belonged to Gray himself. Compared to the scales on his entire body, the scales on his lower abdomen were much weaker. A peak Level 3 mutated rat had taken advantage of Gray¡¯s unprepared state to tear off a corner of the scales on his abdomen. However, just as it was about to make another move, Gray stretched out his claw and smashed it into meat paste. Then, he sent it into his bloody mouth.. ¡°Kacha, kacha¡¡± With the sound of bones breaking, Gray chewed and swallowed the half-dead mouse. However, at this time, Gray couldn¡¯t care less. Burning blood had consumed too much blood essence. He urgently needed to consume a large amount of food to make up for the exhaustion of his stamina. And the flesh of this mutated creature was the best supply for him at the moment. ¡°Ding dong, it has been detected that the host is devouring the flesh and blood of a Level 3 mutated rat. Evolution Points + 30. Obtained sharp teeth gene¡¡± Listening to the system¡¯s notification quietly, Gray did not hesitate to put all his evolution points into the venom. Right now, he needed a large amount of venom to support him in winning this bloody battle. ¡°Roar¡¡± With a low roar, the venom in his mouth, which was as much as a casserole, shot towards a corner where many mutated rats had gathered. ¡°Zi, zi, zi¡¡± After a series of sounds of corrosion, another large group of mutated rats were buried here. At this time, out of instinct, Gray subconsciously sensed that something was wrong. A hint of surprise suddenly appeared in the depths of his eyes. ¡°After waiting for so long, I¡¯ve finally got you,¡± Gray cursed in his heart. Following his heat sensing ability, he would definitely be able to see that a black shadow was constantly moving toward him. It was fast, unimaginably fast, and was faster than him sprinting at full speed. This speed was probably faster than a high-speed train. Its extremely fast posture was like a sharp sword, shuttling through the vast rat group. And this figure, if Gray¡¯s guess wasn¡¯t wrong, should be the rat king of this group of mutated rats. The strength of a peak Level 4 mutated beast was not to be underestimated! And Gray, who was reserved previously, had been on guard against it. Only it and those Level 3 mutated rats could break through its Level 6 scales defense. And now, after waiting for so long and seeing its people being continuously tortured and killed by him, it finally couldn¡¯t sit still anymore and stood out. Seeing the main character finally appear, it was as if all the anger in his body had found a right outlet to vent. Grinning, the tail on Gray¡¯s back was already swaying gently. All of a sudden, a black shadow instantly flashed through the air, charging straight at Gray¡¯s face. ¡°Die!¡± In the midst of his explosive shout, Gray, who was originally tired of dealing with the rats, suddenly whipped his tail on the ground. He didn¡¯t look like he was about to lose his strength due to the rats¡¯ human wave tactics. The tail on his back was even more tensed up in the air. ¡°Rumble¡¡± Accompanied by the terrifying whistling sound of the air, the air waves continued to churn. A whip-like tail, which looked like steel, ruthlessly lashed out at the rapidly approaching black shadow. At this moment, the air seemed to be compressed. The powerful air waves continued to churn. As a Level 4 mutated creature, the rat king naturally felt it, too. Looking at the changes in front of him, even the rat king, who was well-informed, could not help but have a drastic change in its expression. However, due to the inertia of his speed, he was unable to control his extremely fast posture. Faced with the constant risk of death, the rat king, who was unable to dodge, could only let out an ineffectual and furious cry to vent the fear in his heart. ¡°Squeak, squeak!¡± A series of panicked cries reflected the fear and panic in the heart of the owner of the voice. However, this did not change the fated outcome. Gray¡¯s steel tail continued to attack without slowing down, ruthlessly whipping forward. Following that¡ With a loud rumble, a black shadow brought out rings of air currents, like a rapidly moving meteor. Finally, when the meteor touched a huge rock wall, it stopped, releasing waves of blood mist. Amidst the blood mist, the entire pit was filled with an indescribable chill. It was cold and suffocating. It was as though it was pressuring all living things around it to the point where they could not breathe. Looking at the crumbling rock wall, one could see that the ferocious Level 4 mutated rat king had actually been whipped into the depths of the rock wall by Gray. And it was unable to move for a long time. From the extent of the cracks on the rock wall, it was at least three to four meters deep. As for the fate of this mutated rat king¡ ¡°A Level 4 mutated rat is still not good enough¡¡± Looking at the rat king that was on its last breath, Gray could not help but sigh. They did not lose this battle unjustly. Although they had begun to develop their intelligence, they were still animals and lacked intelligence. In the battle before, Gray had always reserved some strength in order to deal with this mutated rat king. Although Gray was the peak of a Level 6 mutated creature, it was like a Dragon Gate to this group of low-level mutated rats. But in front of this mutated rat which used the human wave tactic, its strength was ultimately limited. If at this time, this Level 4 mutated rat king got close to him, even he wouldn¡¯t be able to escape the fate of being seriously injured. At that time, if he was seriously injured, it would be a fool¡¯s dream to think of escaping. Therefore¡ This plan was necessary. He had actually pretended that he was about to use up all his strength and wasn¡¯t able to fight against the enemies¡¯ human wave tactic. The ancient people would never be deceiving. Looking at the results now, his previous efforts were indeed not wasted. However, at this moment, an unexpected change finally happened. The rat king that was deep in the rock wall seemed to have used the last bit of strength in its body to let out an extremely shrill cry. ¡°Squeak, squeak!¡± ¡°Could this be¡¡± Looking at the surrounding rats that were starting to riot, Gray¡¯s face was filled with shock. These rats seemed to have gone mad, and an indescribable deep redness appeared in the depths of their eyes. ¡°No way that this is possible.¡± Seeing the situation in front of him, Gray knew that the situation was serious. Not only did these mutated rats that had lost their leader not lose their will, but because of the mournful atmosphere, they became even more berserk and terrifying. Screeching after screeching, countless mutated black rats pounced over recklessly. They did not even care about the remaining poison on the ground. It was as though nothing in the world could stop them. Chapter 28 ¡°F*ck, they¡¯ve gone crazy, they¡¯ve all gone crazy¡¡± He cursed viciously. Although he couldn¡¯t do much to the attacks of the rats, Gray knew that there was no way for him to retreat. Now, he could only fight to the death. Only by dying would he be able to retreat unscathed. Accompanied by the loud sounds, the entire pit was once again filled with the sounds of intense battle. Both sides were fighting back and forth, not caring about their losses. Every move was fatal. Even Gray, who was a Level 6 mutated beast, was unable to withstand it.. ¡°Ah!!!¡± Suddenly, a sharp pain struck him. Gray could not help but raise his head up and roar. What happened was when Gray was not paying attention, a rat had used its claws to scratch his rather fragile eyes. However, as a price, its entire body had been crushed by Gray¡¯s mouth. Being unable to care about the pain caused by the weak parts of its body, Gray could only continue to engage in endless battles. ¡°Kill, kill, kill¡¡± With an angry roar filled with killing intent, Gray once again charged into the bloody battlefield. However, it was not certain if it was Gray¡¯s misperception, in this endless battle, his martial arts had become increasingly fierce. Along with it, his defensive ability had also become more and more rigorous. Could this be due to his innate bloodline? In the ancient his bloodline, he was born with the talent to fight. He was able to grow stronger and stronger in battle, and the bloodline talent that was carved into his bones: endless martial arts training. And this should be considered good news for Gray under the current situation. At least, he was able to use his various abilities more and more smoothly during the continuous battles. However, although he longed to fight, the physical and mental fatigue gradually enveloped and engulfed his consciousness. In a trance, Gray¡¯s consciousness began to blur¡ ¡ Time slowly passed by, but the shrill cries of the rats in the pit never stopped. The entire pit was filled with the thick smell of blood that would not dissipate even for a month. The wrath of the Emperor had caused corpses to float thousands of miles away. Blood flowed like a river. This was an apt description of the current situation. And in the depths of the pit, there were countless corpses lying there quietly. Some had lost their hands, some had lost their arms, some had no heads, and some had shriveled bodies¡ One, two; there were indeed countless¡ Even Gray himself had long forgotten how many mutated rats he had killed. He only knew that since these rats had come to offend him with the intention of killing him, then none of them should think of leaving! The low growls continued. And Gray, who was in the midst of a mountain of corpses and a sea of blood, slowly propped up his already numb body. One hour? No, maybe two hours, maybe even three hours¡ He had no idea how long he had been fighting. It was no longer important. He was the one who had come out alive, not those d*mn rats! Although he was exhausted, his muscles were swelling and aching, and there were wounds all over his body¡ He was still alive! He had to be alive, too. Gray walked toward the deepest part of the pit with his exhausted body. There was something there that was constantly attracting him. It was a treasure that could make him resonate with his bloodline. It was precisely because this treasure was constantly stimulating his desire to fight that he was able to do so. He was not forced to back down even a little in the face of the situation. ¡ ¡°Ta, ta, ta¡¡± Step by step, Gray slowly climbed to his destination. What entered his eyes was a diamond-shaped crystal that was emitting an emerald green light. ¡°This is?¡± Looking at the green crystal in front of him, Gray couldn¡¯t help but swallow his saliva. This lizard¡¯s body had an instinctive desire for the crystal in front of him. It was as if every cell in his body was telling him, ¡°Gray, hurry up and eat it!¡± Like a magic spell, Gray stepped forward step by step. He was subconsciously extremely tired, but he actually opened his mouth without hesitation and bit fiercely at the green crystal. However, what Gray didn¡¯t know was that not everything that was attractive to him could be eaten directly. Just like the green crystal in front of him, it was a solid crystal that was the combination of countless nuclear radiation and that rare energy. Even the group of ordinary mutated rats could only watch from afar, absorbing the scattered energy emitted by the crystal unconsciously. And he actually ate it directly. ¡°Ding dong, a huge amount of energy has been detected entering the host¡¯s body. The system has forcefully activated the seventh evolution¡¡± ¡°Roar!¡± A shrill roar reverberated in the depths of the lifeless pit, but this terrifying roar was not heard by outsiders. This was because this pit was dozens of meters deep. As a result, Gray was alone in the pit, wailing in pain. However, this also increased his safety. The reason why he said this was because based on Gray¡¯s current condition, if a Level 2 mutated beast attacked, he wouldn¡¯t be able to resist at all. If other mutated beasts followed his howl and ambushed him, Gray would probably fall into an extremely dangerous state. At that time, the system might force him to withdraw from evolution and wake him up. That would not be worth it. Right now, Gray was in an extremely painful stage. The pain filled his entire body. It was an unimaginable pain, as if his entire body was being torn apart. However, the more painful it was, the stronger the desire in his body became. ¡°Kacha, kacha¡¡± The sound of something breaking could be heard continuously. It was the remaining half of the emerald green crystal that Gray had swallowed into his stomach. ¡°Ding dong, a large amount of energy has been detected, initiating forced evolution¡¡± Vaguely, Gray seemed to have heard the system¡¯s notification. However, his consciousness became increasingly blurry. ¡°Am I going to die?¡± At this moment, if there was a puddle, Gray would definitely notice that his entire body was suffused with a red hue. It was as if he had been roasted. Heat, an unimaginable burning sensation, enveloped his body. ¡°Ding dong, it has been detected that the host has absorbed a large amount of nuclear energy, and his body has begun to evolve with a super strong chemical reaction¡¡± ¡°Ding dong, it has been detected that the host¡¯s organs need to evolve in order to withstand the high temperature. Consumed 500 evolution points, forced evolution begins¡¡± ¡ System notifications kept ringing out one after another. Gray¡¯s evolution points were also rapidly decreasing at a speed visible to the naked eye. However, at this moment, Gray, who had lost consciousness, felt the interior of his body slow down. It was as if something was about to be born. Even the unbearable burning sensation could no longer affect him. Chapter 29 However, after experiencing these tribulations, the changes that happened to Gray¡¯s body were far from being over. The temperature of his body continued to rise, and a stream of energy continuously surged from his heart to his entire body. It was an energy that exceeded Gray¡¯s understanding. The power contained within this energy seemed to be able to destroy everything. The energy that was originally gentle had come into contact with something. It then became frantic, and attacked Gray¡¯s entire body madly. ¡°Kacha, kacha, kacha¡¡± Under the destruction of this energy, the bones of that strong and powerful body continued to crack, and the blood vessels the size of a syringe continued to shatter. . But before Gray¡¯s body could be completely split and melted by this energy, another cold notification sound rang out. ¡°Ding dong, it has been detected that the host¡¯s current body is unable to withstand the energy within the body. Consumption of 2,000 evolution points and forced evolution begins¡¡± After the cold notification sound, in his daze, Gray could indeed feel an unknown cold energy gushing out from the deepest depth of his body. It was actually continuously neutralizing the violent energy in his body. At the same time, the weak aura on Gray¡¯s body actually changed its attack, rising at a speed visible to the naked eye. It was not known to the outside world that in the deepest part of this nuclear explosion, an unimaginable largest mutation in the history of biology was taking place. Perhaps, this could not be described as mutation. For Gray, this was a type of cross-species evolution. This was because Gray had just slaughtered the entire group of mutated rats. And there were tens of thousands of evolution points. So many evolution points were enough to support Gray¡¯s evolution to an unimaginable level. Moreover, compared to Gray¡¯s evolution direction of strengthening his torso, the evolution direction that the system adjusted according to his physical condition might be more suitable for the current Gray. This kind of the big picture view was something that Gray couldn¡¯t do. After all, to live again, even ants would strive to survive. Gray couldn¡¯t guarantee that every evolution of his was the most suitable for him. However, the system was completely different. It could determine the most suitable direction of evolution for Gray based on the actual situation. Just like now¡ ¡°Ding dong, it has been detected that the host¡¯s body contains a large amount of nuclear energy. The system is attempting to evolve the host¡¯s organs toward a thermonuclear energy conversion¡¡± ¡°Ding dong, it has been detected that the host¡¯s consciousness is blurred. Consumption of 5,000 points and forced evolution begins¡¡± ¡ The moment this cold voice ended, if Gray was awake, he would realize that all the energy in his body had been gathered together. ¡°Rumble¡¡± A whistling sound that sounded like a hurricane actually stirred up a gale within a one kilometer radius around him. At the same time, within Gray¡¯s body, an organ that was like a core melting furnace had actually replaced the original heart. It was slowly being formed. ¡ However, after experiencing this mutation, the strange phenomenon had yet to end. ¡°Ding dong, it has been detected that the host is unable to effectively utilize a large amount of core heat. It is recommended to evolve an energy conversion organ¡¡± ¡°Ding dong, it has been detected that the host¡¯s consciousness is blurred. Consumption of 3,000 evolution points and forced evolution begins.¡± While the notifications rang out one after another, pitch-black backbone slowly grew out from the back one after another. It had even extended to a certain part of Gray¡¯s tail. And the moment the backbone of his body was formed¡ ¡°Rumble¡¡± Accompanied by a series of rumbling sounds, the high temperature around Gray continuously surged towards his back. At the same time, the pitch-black backbone also gradually turned red¡ Until the aftershock, Gray felt an unknown anger in his throat, and his mouth felt hot. ¡°Roar¡¡± As he roared toward the sky, the huge decibel shook the entire bottom of the pit. In the next second, something terrifying happened. Accompanied by a loud bang, a scarlet red beam of light the size of a water tank shot out from Gray¡¯s mouth. Everything that the scarlet red beam of light had reached turned into nothingness. Even the hard granite walls were completely penetrated. Only the ground was left with a charred path that followed the direction of the light. No one knew what kind of strange move this was. However, if Gray was awake at this moment and saw the power that he had created, he would definitely cry out in shock. Wasn¡¯t this the breath of the legendary dragon?!! After the mutation was completed, Gray had completely fallen into a deep sleep. His brain could no longer receive any sensation. Time slowly ticked by. In the blink of an eye, three days had passed. On the morning of the third day, in the deepest part of the pit, Gray was awakened by a deep sense of hunger. ¡°Why¡ am I here¡ Hungry¡ so hungry!¡± Under the urge of his brain and gastric enzyme, Gray slowly opened his majestic eyes. However, in the next moment, what entered his eyes when he woke up was not the corpses of mutated rats, but a charred path that led straight to the end. ¡°Did I do this?¡± Looking at the strange scene in front of him, Gray kept doubting himself. After all, other than a high-level mutated beast like him, no one else here should be able to do such a miracle. Looking at the charred tunnel that was dozens of meters long, even Gray could not help but feel some lingering fear. However, now was not the time to worry about this. The hunger was constantly assaulting Gray¡¯s brain. His stomach was empty, and the gastric enzyme was constantly contracting and twitching. His stomach was rumbling with hunger, as if he had nothing at the moment. ¡°Food¡ Give me food!¡± As if he was controlled by this fatal biological instinct, Gray could not help but slowly crawl towards the pile of mutant rat corpses behind him. There were countless corpses there, which could provide him with sufficient heat. ¡ As he was crawling towards the pile of corpses, Gray didn¡¯t know if it was because he was too hungry, he felt that everything he saw was exceptionally clear. Even his hearing was greatly enhanced. He could hear the sound of water dripping not far away clearly. ¡°I¡¯m afraid I¡¯m too hungry that I have such a strange illusion¡¡± As he muttered, he grabbed a few mutated rat corpses with his hands and stuffed them into his mouth. He repeated his actions mechanically until he felt full. Only then did Gray lick his mouth, feeling still not satisfied. After he was full, another strange feeling came from his back. Gray finally noticed that his body had indeed undergone a strange change. It was as if he had completely changed his body. A faint burning sensation kept coming from his heart. And behind him, there was a row of black backbones. They were like blades, standing tall like mountains. They were not handsome at all. But this was not the most exaggerated part. Looking at the puddles on the ground, Gray found out that his body was one size bigger than his own body, which was a Level 6 mutated beast! Chapter 30 ¡°Kacha.¡± Gently exerting his strength, cracks began to appear on the ground with his left palm as the center. Spider-web-like cracks continued to spread. ¡°Is my current strength at Level 8 or 9?¡± Looking at the scene that he had easily created, Gray couldn¡¯t help but be stunned. He also realized that during the time he had been unconscious, he might have experienced some astonishing metamorphosis. Thinking of this, Gray couldn¡¯t wait to open his attribute panel. . [ Race: mutated Komodo Dragon (?)] Level: peak Level 9 mutated Beast Bloodline awakening (innate skill) ¡ª Dragon¡¯s Breath (Level 9) : the biological nuclear reactor in the body can produce chemical reactions between the energy and matter in the body which can be released in the form of energy. It can be spewed out through the mouth and turns into a high-temperature ray that catalyzes everything. Skills: Steel Tail (Level 6) : a giant tail that is like an alloy. When thrown at full force, it seems to be able to break everything on earth. Infrared Thermal Sensing Ability (Level 6) : can effectively capture the temperature of anything, thus being able to see everything in the dark. Venom (Level 3) : slightly increases the power of the poison, making its corrosiveness and toxicity even more terrifying, increasing the speed of the storage of the poison. ¡ Bloodline Recovery: recovers the bloodline of the Komodo giant lizard that was repeatedly plundered, and the bloodline of his that caused the ancient era to fall into a deep sleep (current progress: 10%) ] Quietly looking at the strange attribute panel in front of him, Gray felt a great shock. He did not expect that he had just fallen asleep, and his body had undergone such an earth-shattering change when he woke up. This could be said to be a leap to the heavens¡ ¡°After crossing three levels of mutation in one go¡ the strength and power of my body have been greatly enhanced. Even my body is unable to adapt to this new increase in strength in a short period of time¡ Not to mention the inexplicable additional bloodline talent ¡ª Dragon¡¯s Breath. I¡¯m afraid that the pitch-black tunnel was actually unconsciously created by me while I was unconscious.¡± ¡ While he was muttering softly, Gray¡¯s gaze towards the attribute panel became increasingly passionate. Was this the fortuitous encounter of the main characters in the novels of his previous life? No wonder all the novels and TV series in his previous life liked to play this game. This feeling was indeed extraordinary. However, in the next moment, he couldn¡¯t smile anymore. F*ck, as if sensing something was wrong, the corner of Gray¡¯s eyes twitched violently. If he remembered correctly, before he fainted, he had massacred an entire group of rats. His evolution points should be at least tens of thousands¡ But now, before Gray¡¯s happiness subsided, he realized that he only had a pitiful 3,000 evolution points left¡ ¡°Could it be that when I was half-conscious, the system forced me to consume evolution points?¡± While muttering to himself, Gray felt extremely fortunate. Even though his consciousness was still blurred, the unbearable soul-devouring pain was still lingering in his body. That kind of unforgettable feeling, Gray would never want to experience it again. However, the fortunate thing was that it was only an intense pain and not a loss of life. If he didn¡¯t have enough evolution points at that time, he would have already turned into charcoal by now. It could only be said that everything in life was fated. The system was in the same boat as him. These tens of thousands of evolution points were used to protect his life. After his evolution, Gray¡¯s strength had indeed increased greatly. ¡°Huff¡¡± He slowly took a deep breath and suppressed the excitement in his heart. Sparks kept shooting out of his nostrils. At this point, Gray also wanted to try out the bloodline skill that he had always dreamed of. Dragon¡¯s Breath! Thinking of this, Gray slowly opened his huge mouth. ¡°Dragon¡¯s Breath!¡± With a murmur in his heart, Gray felt his body shake. Something was about to come out of his body. Immediately after, Gray felt the temperature of his body rising continuously. However, before the temperature continued to rise, countless hot energy actually surged toward his throat, bit by bit. The energy continued to gather and rise, until a scarlet light was locked in his throat. ¡°Rumble¡¡± With a roar, under Gray¡¯s expectant gaze, a scarlet light pillar the size of a casserole actually shot out from his mouth. Wherever it landed, not even a blade of grass left. Everything was annihilated under the high temperature of this light pillar. Seeing this, Gray was overjoyed. He tilted his proud head to the right. The laser beam was like a divine sword that could cut through everything around it. ¡°Slash¡¡± Vaguely, Gray, who was focused on the laser beam, heard a loud sound. The entire pit had been cut open by his laser beam. Fortunately, this was in the depths of the pit. If this was in a human city, Gray¡¯s Dragon Breath would have been too terrifying. He didn¡¯t even dare to think about it. Of course, Gray could only think about such a situation. It was not that he was afraid of humans, but with his current strength, he would not allow himself to do so. Gray did not think that the flesh of his Level 9 mutated creature could withstand the bombardment of large missiles. Although the Dragon¡¯s Breath, which was like an alien technology, was terrifying, it still had various limitations. At most, it could destroy a few tall buildings within a short period of time. ¡°Tsk, tsk¡¡± Gray smacked his lips and let out a burp. He was quite satisfied with the power of this Dragon¡¯s Breath. As expected of the skill that he had used so many evolution points to obtain. This time, it was likely that he really had another trump card. However, Gray felt that he still had an even greater breakthrough. It was just that he had yet to discover it. He slowly walked to the side of the lake above the pit and arrived at an empty area. Gray stretched his body with all his might and it gave him a fright when he looked at his reflection in the lake. ¡°Is this monster in the lake really me?¡± This was because Gray¡¯s body had already reached an astonishing length of over nine meters. There were also countless sharp thorns on his back. Looking from afar, it didn¡¯t look like a lizard at all. There was only an indescribably terrifying and aghast feeling. ¡°What a fascinating body. This body probably contains unimaginable power.¡± As he described the body, Gray tightened the muscles of his body. At the next moment¡ With a whoosh, Gray¡¯s body disappeared from the ground. It was only the billowing dust on the ground that could be seen. Chapter 31 - The Arrival of Top Predator in Blue Planet Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio Feeling his godly speed, Gray couldn¡¯t help but be stunned. ¡°This speed¡¡± With a face full of astonishment, Gray realized that his speed could actually be even faster. Yes, this was far from Gray¡¯s limit. All the muscles in his body tensed up, and his entire body rose and fell. Amidst this rapid rise and fall, Gray¡¯s speed was even more astonishing. In just a short 30 seconds, he had run three kilometers. ¡°Strength and speed, compared to a Level 6 body, they have increased tremendously.¡± Gray signed as he did not have a comparison object. He was unable to judge how powerful he was now. However, there was one thing that he was certain of. If the current him had rushed into the mutated rat nest underground a few days ago, definitely they would have been easily exterminated. He would not have ended up like before. Gray¡¯s lips curled up. He was also looking for other parts that had mutated. However, at this moment, he, who was looking at the lake water, suddenly discovered that there were two small bumps on his head. ¡°What are these?¡± Filled with confusion, Gray used his left claw to gently touch the two small bumps on his head. [ Fledgling Dragon¡¯s Horn: bloodline recovery of 10%, body Shape has received a certain enhancement and change¡ When bloodline recovery reaches 50% , wings will grow on your back¡ ] The screen that suddenly popped up also answered Gray¡¯s doubts. ¡°This protruding small bumps are actually horns. Furthermore they are fledgling dragon¡¯s horns. As expected, I¡¯m heading towards the direction of the mythical creature ¡ª the evolution of the giant dragon.¡± Gray heaved a long sigh. He wasn¡¯t surprised. After all, he had already guessed it. Thus at this moment, he was exceptionally calm, The earth would never belong to him. Only the vast and boundless sky would be where he truly belong. Thinking of this, Gray began to feel a little smug. Forget it, I had not even learned how to climb, and yet I had wanted to learn to fly? Let¡¯s take each step slow and steady. ¡ It was also time to leave. Taking a deep look at the hole not far away, Gray also didn¡¯t feel like staying any longer. He lifted his feet and ran towards the giant turtle and Claire in the distance. However, just as Gray was running wildly¡ ¡°Rumble, rumble¡¡± One rumble after another, it was as if the entire ground was shaking. There was an indescribable sense of horror. There was no other reason. Gray¡¯s body was too heavy. It was so heavy that even Mother Earth could not bear it. And with such a body, if he were to charge forward, he was afraid that¡ Just thinking about it gave Gray a vague scene in his mind. ¡°If that¡¯s really the case, it wouldn¡¯t be ordinarily terrifying.¡± With a faint smile in his heart, the speed that he had just slowed down increased once again. And he began to gallop across the land. Ten minutes later, under the puzzled gazes of Claire and the giant turtle, Gray, who had grown several times in size, returned safely. ¡°Woo woo¡¡± The giant turtle seemed to be asking Gray some questions as it let out a low growl. Hearing the child-like question, Gray did not respond. He just threw his head to the side, ¡°Let¡¯s go. Let¡¯s begin the real hunt.¡± As he finished speaking, Gray led Claire and the giant turtle towards the nearby Songba Island. As they neared the edge of the island, Gray looked back unwillingly. He secretly swore that his departure this time was only temporary. When he returned in the future, he would definitely have broken out of his cocoon and had turned into a dragon. Now, he needed to give Komodo Island enough buffer time to develop for a while. He also needed to give time to the Komodo dragon race, which had no natural enemies, to reproduce and grow. With a top predator like him on the island, the living space of the entire Komodo Island would be rapidly compressed. Therefore, his departure now was inevitable and also temporary. Everything that he was doing now was to lay the groundwork for his glorious return in the future. And now, Gray set his eyes on the nearby Songba Island and the boundless sea. ¡°Let¡¯s go. There¡¯s nothing to see here. It¡¯s not that we won¡¯t be coming back.¡± Looking at the giant turtle that was still in a daze, Gray nudged him with his body, and then walked toward Songba Island without looking back. ¡ Time quietly slipped away. A few days later, on Songba Island. ¡°Roar!¡± An earth-shattering roar suddenly spread across the island. The sound reverberated across the entire island. In an instant, the entire island was completely silent. It was terrifyingly quiet. They all knew one thing. It was the arrival of a top predator, or an unimaginable existence. Just hearing the sound, countless mutated beasts felt suffocated. Even their bodies began to tremble. ¡°What is this?¡± At this moment, the hearts of countless mutated beasts were filled with the same doubts. On the other side, Gray, who did not know anything about this, felt unusually excited. The corners of his mouth curled up happily, with an indescribable excitement. These past few days of sailing on the sea, they had been eating fish that tasted so bland. Moreover, this was indeed Songba Island. Looking at the coastline, just the area alone was several times larger than Komodo Island. And the number of mutated beasts on the island was hundreds of times more than that on Komodo Island. Of course, Gray knew very well that this was the reason why Songba Island did not suffer the baptism of nuclear weapons. The mutated beasts that could survive on Komodo Island were basically Level 2 and above, and there was actually Level 1 mutated hare on Songba Island. However, this was not that important. What was important was that he could start hunting without any scruples. ¡°Roar.¡± Amidst the soft growl, Gray seemed to be getting more and more excited. However, at this moment, as if he had thought of something important, Gray turned his head and instructed Claire and the giant turtle. ¡°Let¡¯s hunt separately. We¡¯ll gather here in a week¡¯s time. Hopefully, I¡¯ll be able to see the two of you alive then.¡± Gray knew very well that if he allowed this human and beast to rely on him too much, the distance between the three of them would increase as he walked further. At that time, the two following him would very likely die without any reason. Thus, he definitely could not be soft-hearted towards them at this moment. As he spoke, Gray suddenly sped up and ran towards the forest deep within Songba Island. He could smell the scent of a high-level mutated beast. In the noses of other mutated beasts, it was a life-threatening charm. In his case, it was a soul-stirring poison that would seduce him at all times. ¡ At this moment, what Gray didn¡¯t know was that the human world outside had also undergone a huge change.. Chapter 32 - The Changes in the Human World Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio Although the development trajectory of this world was roughly the same as that of Blue Planet in his previous life, the trend was not so similar. The structure of this world was polarized. There was China in the east and the United States in the west. After these two countries entered the end of the 21st century, they became the two most powerful countries in the human world. As for the other countries that were relatively famous on the Blue Planet, they had declined quite a bit compared to these two countries. For example, Russia, England, France, Japan, and so on¡ And now, with the arrival of a new era, the countries that were led by the two poles also had different national policies. China advocated the revival of ancient martial arts, strengthening the body, vigorously developing martial arts, and opening martial arts halls. And in the United States, they focused on the development of science and technology in an attempt to subvert the development of mankind with the power of science and technology. At this time, the two poles led the leaders of the hundred nations behind them to begin the first United Nations Conference on the future survival of mankind. ¡°Representatives of the various countries, please be quiet. I¡¯ll take the lead to talk about our country¡¯s discoveries.¡± As soon as he finished speaking, a middle-aged man with blonde hair and blue eyes, who was the representative of the United States, also walked out from the noisy crowd below. ¡°Long before the Reiki era was revived, a similar era had already appeared on Earth. During that era, the historians of our countries called it the Cambrian era, when life emerged. ¡°During the Cambrian era, all kinds of cells evolved into living things. The rate of evolution of all kinds of living things was much faster than that of other eras. At that time, the evolution of our human race was one of the top 10 unsolved mysteries in paleontology. ¡°But from the current phenomenon, it seems that we have encountered the same trend of the times.¡± ¡ Other than the representative on the stage, there was no other sound. The representatives of the other 100 countries listened quietly and nodded from time to time. At this moment, as if thinking of something important, the representative of an island country, a country symbolized by cherry blossoms, stood up and asked the representative on the stage. ¡°I wonder if your country¡¯s technology can solve the mystery of this world¡¯s biological evolution and mutation?¡± ¡°Such questions are naturally not difficult¡¡± Hearing this, the representative smiled smugly and spoke with confidence. ¡°We do have a new discovery and explanation for this phenomenon.¡± As the blonde representative spoke, he looked at the Chinese representative beside him and said proudly. ¡°Based on our systematic discovery, there should be an unknown substance appearing. ¡°This substance can speed up the evolution of our lives, allowing us to go through hundreds or even thousands of years of evolution in just a few years. ¡°In the west, we call this substance ¡®elements¡¯, while in the east, it¡¯s called ¡®Spiritual Qi¡¯!¡± Hearing this, the Chinese representative beside him stood up and said straightforwardly. ¡°Not only that, our China has also made major discoveries in other aspects. I believe that everyone knows that our China has gone through 5,000 years of inheritance, and there are no cultural gaps in it. Our cultural heritage is extraordinarily deep. ¡°Therefore, after flipping through the ancient books, we also discovered that 2,000 years ago, there might have been an even more resplendent era¡ ¡°However, subsequently, due to the disappearance of the substance that the United States had mentioned, the mysterious era began to decline. And it eventually died out¡ We call it the Reiki recovery.¡± ¡ For a time, when the representatives heard this matter which was no less than the result of Mars colliding with the Blue Planet, their eyes couldn¡¯t help but flicker. It was as if they were weighing the pros and cons of the matter. ¡°The even more glorious era that your China once had, what evidence do you have?¡± A question that wasn¡¯t suitable for the moment, the representative from Korea also stood out and asked. ¡°Everyone, don¡¯t be anxious, everything has to be based on evidence. Please take a look at the big screen¡¡± The representative from China also released the projection on the big screen. On the bright screen, an old man wearing a Taoist robe was holding a horsetail whisk in his hand. Then, a strong wind started to blow, and a hurricane appeared on the ground. It was dozens of feet high and it swept dozens of meters away. Then, he grabbed a few strands of hair from the horsetail whisk and threw them on the ground. An even more shocking thing happened. The hair actually turned into animals. However, they only lasted for 10 seconds before they disappeared without a trace. ¡°Ladies and gentlemen, there isn¡¯t any special effect in the video. It¡¯s all from our ancient school.¡± ¡°This is?¡± ¡°Oh my God, did God reveal a miracle?¡± ¡°Why is there such a magical spell in the world? Is this a movie?¡± ¡ Exclamations after exclamations indicated the state of mind of the representatives. At this moment, the Chinese representative seemed to have sensed everyone¡¯s shock and he continued. ¡°This is the wind awakening technique and the strange door armor evasion technique that came from our country¡¯s Taoists. ¡°We discovered that the books and techniques that were passed down in the various sects had the possibility of being cultivated after the appearance of those mutated beasts. ¡°Even though it¡¯s a modified version that has been improved by our country, it is indeed able to be cultivated. Therefore, our country still believes in the Spiritual Qi that the United States has mentioned. ¡°And¡¡± At this point, the representative of China looked at the representative of Japan and continued. ¡°Our¡ your country also has a spell called Yin-Yang Spell, right? There are also some strange things called Shikigami and other similar things. And the magic spell that extremely represents western countries, they can also be cultivated, right¡¡± As they quietly listened to the facts that the representative of China stated, many of the representatives of the countries nodded in silence. However, at this moment, as if they had thought of something, many of the country representatives looked at the United States representatives with a playful expression. These ancient countries that had a long history were about to rise up in this new era. Especially China, which had countless spells. There were countless immortal cultivation methods. But the United States, a country that only had two hundred years of history, didn¡¯t seem to have any ancient history apart from that useless technology. It was no wonder that their country¡¯s current policy was to rejuvenate the country with technology. The representatives of the various countries were also prepared to see the joke on the United States. ¡ The meetings of the various countries about the new era were still going on. As for the views of the new era, the representatives of the various countries had different opinions. They argued endlessly. At this moment, a representative of a coastal country seemed to have thought of something. He stood up and reminded the representative of China. ¡°My fellow countrymen, according to our observations, we have to tell you a sad fact. The rate of evolution of those mutated beasts is getting faster and faster¡.¡± Chapter 33 - Absorbing Other Elements Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio ¡°Especially for coastal countries like us, we are often troubled by these mutated beasts. Our situation is unbearable, and we can feel the surging waves in the depths of the ocean¡¡± Listening to the complaints of the coastal representative below the stage, the Chinese representative explained. ¡°That¡¯s because of that mysterious substance, which is the spiritual qi that the United States representative has mentioned. Their source seems to be in the depths of the ocean. ¡°The sea is now a forbidden place for humans. Who knows how terrifying those mutated beasts have evolved to? Not long ago, a mutated sea snake from the sea took the initiative to attack a human city. Until now, I can still vaguely remember the techniques of the giant python in the video.¡± At this moment, the representative of the United States added by the side. ¡°The current situation of the sea is indeed as the Chinese representative said. We have already sent five of our newest armed helicopter squads to the nuclear weapons testing island ¡ª Komodo Island. ¡°However, the five helicopters have long since gone missing. Based on the some of the images sent back, we can see clearly that many terrifying mutated beasts have appeared in the sea.¡± This was the first time that there was a meeting about the future of mankind, and it had finally begun. At this time, Gray, who was far away, did not know about this. He was still immersed in the thrill of hunting. ¡°Roar.¡± With a soft roar, a nine meter long mutated beast suddenly accelerated¡ It was fast, unimaginably fast. In just a few seconds, it had crossed a few hundred meters. Looking at the constantly changing scenery on both sides, Gray didn¡¯t know how fast the other Level 9 mutated beasts were. But his speed was astonishing. He clearly had short legs, but he had an incomparable explosive ability and endurance. It almost reached a speed of dozens of meters per second. What kind of concept was this? The speed of sound was only 340 meters per second. From afar, the average human¡¯s vision could only catch a black shadow flashing past in front of them. If one were to use an example as a comparison, his speed should be a little faster than the fastest high-speed train on land. ¡°Roar¡¡± Suddenly, a low roar sounded, and a hurricane that was neither too big nor too small rolled up on the grass. Before a mutated rhinoceros that was more than two meters tall could react, its entire body had already flown out, turning into a bloody mist in the air. This mutated rhinoceros was actually smashed into pieces by Gray, who was extremely fast. ¡°I did this¡¡± Looking at the scattered rhino¡¯s corpse on the ground, Gray remained silent for a long time. Then, he picked up a piece of its flesh on the ground and began to eat it with relish. ¡°Ding dong, it has veen detected that the host is devouring the flesh of a Level 3 mutated rhinoceros. Evolution Points + 30¡¡± Listening to the good news from the system quietly, Gray looked at his attribute panel and remained silent for a long time. He had already obtained 1,500 evolution points. These were the evolution points he currently had. These evolution points were obtained from the battles on the island over the past few days. It could be considered quite a lot, but it was still not enough to support him through a complete evolution. This was because, out of the blue, there was a voice in his body telling him that he needed to strengthen all his abilities to Level 9 before he could evolve his body again. However, if all his abilities evolved to Level 9, it would require a lot of evolution points. For example, Steel Tail was only Level 6. His Infrared Thermal Sensing Ability was also at Level 6. There were also other abilities¡ He needed to evolve all of these abilities to Level 9 to keep up with Gray¡¯s current body level. Only then would he be able to display their true strength. As for Gray, he had a feeling that only being above Level 9 would be able to come into contact with the reason for the evolution and mutation of living things. It was a brand new world. ¡°The revolution has yet to succeed. I still need to work harder¡¡± He smiled in his heart and no longer sighed. Gray also chose to strengthen the Level 6 Steel Tail. ¡°Ding dong, are you sure you want to use 700 evolution points to upgrade the Steel Tail?¡± ¡°Eh, does it really need so many¡¡± Hearing the string of numbers reported by the system, a hint of doubt flashed across Gray¡¯s face. Why was it 700 points all of a sudden? At this moment, as if sensing Gray¡¯s doubt, a cold system notification rang out beside Gray¡¯s ear. ¡°Ding dong. After the host underwent a series of mutations, the amount of energy required to evolve his body has increased by leaps and bounds. The amount of evolution points required for certain powerful abilities has increased by tenfold.¡± Nodding his head, Gray did not mind. This reason made sense. After all, based on his current hunting speed, 70 and 700 would only take a few days. Thinking it this way, Gray felt that it was very reasonable. If he could strengthen a physical skill with only a few dozen evolution points like before, then wouldn¡¯t Gray be able to fully strengthen it in a short while? And he wouldn¡¯t even need to spend a lot of evolution points. Even if he had the system, he still had to abide by the law of conservation of matter. The energy provided by the system didn¡¯t come out of from nowhere. From this, it could be seen that it was still a long way from reaching Level 10. He had jumped three levels in a row during the previous fortuitous encounter with the pit. Up until now, his control over his body had not reached 100% . If he continued to evolve so quickly, not only would the system not be able to handle it, even he would be panicking. Some of the ¡®unstable foundations¡¯ recorded in the ancient books of his previous life referred to the current situation of his body. So¡ ¡°Yes, I¡¯m very sure. Help me strengthen my Steel Tail.¡± The moment his words left his mouth, a strange energy spread from the depths of his heart to his entire body. The energy was extremely violent and was constantly surging. It was extremely vast and cold. The moment the energy came into contact with the tail¡ ¡°Bang! Bang! Bang!¡± A series of rumbling sounds reverberated from the end of the tail. At this moment, upon closer inspection, one would definitely notice that Gray¡¯s tail was slowly changing color. It was no longer the healthy black color like before. Instead, it had truly turned into a hard metallic color, with some additional ineffable textures. And just as the color of the tail had changed, Gray could clearly feel that his tail had become much heavier, at least several times heavier. ¡°This is?¡± He gently waved the huge tail behind him, ¡°Rumble¡¡± Wherever the tail went, a whistling sound could be heard. Accompanied by a terrifying whistling sound, a deathly white wave of air swept out. It was as though the air had been separated by it. ¡°Could this be¡¡± As he grew more and more surprised, Gray carefully sized up his current tail. ¡°It seems to have turned into a metallic color, but it can¡¯t really have turned into steel, right?¡± While muttering, Gray looked at his attribute panel¡ [ Steel tail (Level 7) : able to act like a magnet, controlling the magnetic field of the current environment. Able to absorb all sorts of metal elements from the earth, thereby continuously improving the defense and hardness of the tail¡ Until it becomes a real ¡®Steel Tail¡¯. ] ¡°Was it metal element¡.¡± Chapter 34 - All Round Evolution Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio Looking at the information on the attribute panel, Gray couldn¡¯t help but smack his lips. Even his world view was affected to a certain extent. He could control the magnetic field of the Earth and the metal elements on earth? However, after thinking about it, since he had already obtained the system and evolved that terrifying Dragon¡¯s Breath, Gray also suppressed the doubt in his heart. After all, there was already such an unscientific thing as the system and the Reiki recovery, so what else could not be done in this world? In the era of the Reiki recovery, everything was revived, and everything was possible. He should be filled with hope for the future. Just a few days ago, he had seen a piece of rock that had turned into a spirit rolling around on the beach. At first, he thought it was a strong wind blowing by the shore. After that, when he was eating, he accidentally glanced at it and found that the stone seemed to have intelligence and could roll on its own¡ Looking at the shocking scene in front of him, he felt as if there were 10,000 horses running through his heart. Even now, when he recalled it, he was still dumbfounded. However, it didn¡¯t matter. He wasn¡¯t just staying at where he was. He would also become stronger and stronger! Now, he could absorb metal elements to strengthen his tail, increasing the defense of his tail. When that time came, could he let the metal elements wrap around his entire body, forming a natural metal armor? Imagining the scene in his mind, Gray was actually a little excited. Which boy didn¡¯t have a dream of gundam? ¡°Strengthen, and decisively strengthen. I must constantly strengthen the skill of Steel Tail.¡± Grinning, Gray¡¯s obsession with strengthening the Steel Tail was no less than strengthening his body. Time slowly passed. Gray also stayed in Songba Island for a period of time, and his hunting plan didn¡¯t fall behind. During this period of time, his attribute panel became more and more luxurious. Almost every day, the skills on it would have a little improvement. The corresponding price was that this Songba Island, which was several times bigger than Komodo Island, was now completely devoid of life. [ Race: ancient giant lizard (its bloodline continues to awaken, and it has already displayed the appearance of ancient times¡) Level: Level 9. Innate talent (awakening) ¡ª breath (Level 9): the biological nuclear reactor in the body allows the energy and matter in the body to react. The energy is produced by thermal radiation, and it is spat out through the mouth, turning into a ray of light that destroys everything. Ability: Steel Tail (Level 9): continuously absorbs metal elements from the earth, and then wraps the entire tail. While giving off a metallic feel, the strength and power of the tail will greatly increase. Infrared Thermal Sensing Ability (Level 9): like having an extra eye, it can capture temperature. Not only high temperature, but even low temperature can also be captured. It can also be stereoscopic. Just like God¡¯s perspective, it can detect a radius of several kilometers, or even dozens of kilometers (the smaller the range of capture, the clearer the image). Venom (Level 6): greatly increases the power of the poison, making its corrosiveness even more terrifying. Roar of Fierce Beast (Level 6): infusing spiritual power into the roar, it can increase the deterrence power of the roar. If one¡¯s will power is weak, he cannot even move¡ Bloodline Recovery: plundering the giant lizard¡¯s bloodline again and again, causing the bloodline that was sleeping in the ancient times to continuously recover (15%). Super Regeneration (Level 6): able to greatly increase the recovery speed of injuries.] Quietly looking at his attribute panel and admiring the results of his hard work over the past few days, Gray felt an indescribable sense of pride and achievement. It was not a waste of this period of hunting. Several of the key skills had been upgraded to Level 9. In particular, the Infrared Thermal Sensing Ability that he had high expectations from the very beginning had given Gray an indescribable surprise. The current Gray didn¡¯t need the help of his eyes to hunt, no matter if it was night or day. With his scent and heat sensing ability, Gray could easily find and kill his prey. Of course, this situation was still part of Gray¡¯s future Blue Ocean Plan. Activating that huge spiritual perception consumed a terrifying amount of spiritual energy every second. With the current limit of his spiritual energy, it was simply not enough to support him activating his heat sensing ability for a long period of time. What was worth mentioning was that during this hunt, Gray had also obtained a new genetic ability, Super Regeneration. In order to verify the strength of this ability¡ Gray did not hesitate to raise his right claw and smack it towards his left claw. ¡°Kacha¡¡± The crisp sound of bones breaking and the intense pain engulfed Gray¡¯s brain. What was even more terrifying was that, in order to see how his bones were recovering, Gray had actually torn the skin and flesh on his claw, allowing him to clearly see the huge broken bones within. However, before the blood from the wound flowed out much, Gray had already seen that the broken bones within had recovered. Even the wound was rapidly healing¡ Although he didn¡¯t dare to say that he had recovered to his best condition, he did manage to stop the wound from worsening in time. ¡°So this is the Level 6 Super Regeneration ability¡¡± An ability that performed very well. At the very least, Gray was very satisfied with his current performance. Thus he had decided that this ability would be his next upgrade. With such an ability, it could be said to be a very powerful life-saving artifact. If he had had this ability, he wouldn¡¯t have been in a sorry state during the pit battle previously. Moreover, this ability came from killing mutated lizards of other races on the island. This was the divine skill that he had obtained. Before the lizards mutated, they were already famous in the world for their outstanding self-recovery ability. It was even more common for their limbs to regrow. Moreover, it was worth mentioning that the degree of his Bloodline Recovery had slowly increased to 15% when he was killing mutated lizards. He had also successfully changed Gray from a mutated giant lizard to an ancient giant lizard. ¡°A Level 9 mutated giant lizard is only at the threshold of an ancient giant lizard? How powerful are those ancient mythical creatures?¡± While muttering to himself, Gray also yearned for the majestic figure in his mind. ¡°Roar.¡± Within the soft roar, the voice sounded like a sound that all living creatures in the world could not make. It sounded like the voice of an extinct ancient creature. It was indescribably hoarse and terrifying. What was even more valuable was still the pressure from the roar. It was the pressure from a superior creature. This roar made him, who was deep in the forest, feel a sense of silence. Everything around him was silent, and it was terrifyingly quiet. All the beasts submitted to the pressure of this bloodline. Smiling inwardly, Gray raised his eyes and looked at the Pacific Ocean not far away. He wanted to go to the sea, to the place where all things originated. He should not be limited to the earth. He could feel the same pressure coming from the sea. Gray¡¯s whole body was eager to evolve and become stronger.. Chapter 35 - Mutant Giant Shark Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio The remaining mutated animals on Songba Island could no longer satisfy Gray¡¯s need for evolution. Therefore, the ocean with endless resources had become Gray¡¯s only desire. However¡ After a period of silence, Gray could also understand that the depths of the ocean were terrifying, perhaps far beyond his imagination. No matter how strong he was, it would be difficult for him, who was not good at swimming, to display his skills in the sea. Moreover, the monsters in the sea might not be weaker than him. A few days ago, when he was searching for prey on the shore, he saw that at the end of the sea, a huge black shadow had suddenly jumped out from the calm surface of the sea. That figure was like a shark, but it was impossible to find a similar one among the known shark families. Gray knew that it was a mutated shark. The body of that shark was dozens of times longer than a normal great white shark. In its bloody mouth, rows of sharp teeth that were more than 10 centimeters long were lined up. On the surface of its body, a thick layer of scales covered its fat. Ordinary attacks wouldn¡¯t be able to penetrate it. Looking at that terrifying mutated shark from afar, Gray could feel his soul continuously trembling. It was not an involuntary expression of fear, but sign of agitation and excitement. It was an urge to win against creatures of the same level. However, it was not known if the mutated great white shark that was sunbathing on the surface of the water had sensed Gray¡¯s presence. In the past few days, it had been swimming along the shore where Gray had last appeared. It seemed to be provoking, and also waiting. As if it could not wait any longer, the ferocious shark¡¯s face actually revealed a human-like disdain. Regarding this, Gray could only remain silent. Putting aside the fact that this mutated great white shark was likely at the same mutation level as Gray, it might even be higher than Gray. Just talking about using the sea as the main battlefield, this was a bit unrealistic. It wasn¡¯t that Gray was afraid of fighting with the mutated giant shark. After all, as a reptile, the sea wasn¡¯t his home. Using his own shortcomings to win over others¡¯ strengths, Gray wasn¡¯t arrogant to such an extent. ¡°I¡¯ll give you a few days to gloat first. Just you wait, you shark. When I evolve the ability to roam the sea, your death will not be far away. I¡¯ll definitely kill you with my own hands!¡± Thinking of this, Gray also let out an extremely terrifying roar from the cliff on the island. ¡°Roar!¡± That appearance was like a long roar towards the sky. A circle of visible sound waves were spreading in all directions. And in the distant undercurrent, the bottom of the sea seemed to have sensed something¡ ¡°Rumble¡¡± Along a loud sound, waves tens of meters high swept up. In the dense and invisible waves, the black figure of the giant shark could be vaguely seen flashing and disappearing. Although Gray wanted to take revenge, could the Komodo giant lizard swim? This was a question to be pondered, as the answer was obvious. However, in the past few days, Gray had also been trying to evolve the ability to swim in the sea. Obviously, the whole process was not favorable¡ Until today¡ With a crisp ding, a cold system notification sounded in Gray¡¯s ears. ¡°Ding dong, host, are you sure you need to expend 2,000 evolution points to evolve your body¡¯s ability to breathe?¡± ¡°Yes, I¡¯m sure.¡± Nodding his head, Gray could not help but be overjoyed when he saw the ability that he had been thinking about day and night. As expected, it was just as he had guessed. Under the condition that his body had sufficient evolution points, he could evolve skills that could adapt to various environments. For example, previously, when he ate the green crystal, his body nearly exploded due to the high temperature. The system had helped him automatically evolve a nuclear reactor heart. And now, based on this principle, Gray kept going deeper into the water. Just like his previous life, he was holding his breath five meters under the water. Under this kind of deliberate training, Gray finally evolved the ability that he wanted. ¡°Ding dong, the host¡¯s new ability ¡ª body surface breathing has begun to form.¡± Following another system notification, the scales on Gray¡¯s body, which were like chain armor, gradually changed shape. They looked like fish scales, but they were a few times more domineering than ordinary fish scales. They were much better looking. Moreover, the scales that Gray had just evolved did not have clear layers like fish scales. They had a distinct sense of difference. Instead, they were like an armor firmly protecting Gray¡¯s body. And now, Gray, who was holding his breath underwater, suddenly felt his body relax. He no longer felt the discomfort he previously felt. He felt much more relaxed. ¡°Snore¡¡± He let out a deep breath, but it wasn¡¯t from his mouth. Instead, with Gray¡¯s body as the center, bubbles kept popping up around him. This special breathing method was the ability that Gray had just evolved. Not only were his lungs breathing, but his entire body was also breathing. At this moment, if one were to look down from a high altitude, one could see that there was a black colossus under the clear river. Bubbles kept popping up on the calm surface of the lake. ¡°Swish.¡± The five-meter-long tail on Gray¡¯s back suddenly swung, and Gray¡¯s long body turned into a sharp arrow that left the bowstring. In an instant, it broke through the water and flew out. ¡°Not bad, not bad at all.¡± The continuous praises showed that Gray was quite satisfied with his new ability. The current him was no different from those fish that lived in the shallow sea. However, this was still far from enough. The great white sharks that lived in the deep sea, not to mention the mutated great white shark, how many meters deep they could dive into the sea? A Level 1 breathing ability was not enough to withstand the water pressure of the deep sea and the high-intensity battle in the sea. If he dove 200 meters into the sea, his body would explode and he would die because his body could not withstand the water pressure. Therefore, upgrading this skill was necessary. And next¡ The focus of his evolution was to upgrade this ability, Body Surface Breathing. [ Body Surface Breathing (Level 1) ¡ª based on survival needs, an ordinary evolved ability allows the owner to breathe freely in the ocean¡ if it evolves to the limit, it will even allow the owner to survive for a short period of time under in vacuum¡ ] Looking at the description on the page, Gray, who had experienced great storms, felt that it was ridiculous. In the end, this ability was developed to the point where he could survive for a short period of time in a vacuum without oxygen? Did this mean that in the future, he could leave the Blue Planet and go to another planet without the aid of technology? In his back and forth thinking, Gray had never expected that an ordinary skill that he had unintentionally created would be able to reach such a height in the end.. Chapter 36 - Body Surface Breathing Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio During this month of continuous hunting and upgrading his abilities, his two servants, the giant mutated turtle and the giant lizard girl, Claire, were also growing at a speed visible to the naked eye. This was especially true for the giant lizard girl, Claire. Gray had already experienced her potential over the past few months. In just a short period of time, Claire¡¯s strength had risen from a Level 2 mutant to a Level 4 mutant. Although the speed of Gray¡¯s improvement in the previous few levels was faster than Claire¡¯s, it was because Gray had the help of the system. Claire, who had no help at all, had improved so quickly. From this, it could be seen how great her potential was. After four times of evolution, Claire¡¯s appearance had also changed considerably. Other than a few of her human characteristics, her appearance had become more of the characteristics of a giant lizard. For example, that dazzling light golden hair had long since disappeared, turning into a head of long emerald green hair. A pair of eyes that were as bright as black gems were now like wild beasts. They were no longer as bright as before, and there was only cold killing intent in her eyes. The white long legs and crispy lotus-like arms were now covered with a layer of thick scales. At a glance, she was both hideous and ugly, completely unlike the beautiful young girl. However, these protective measures were the guarantee of her survival in the wild. In the wild, if she still cared about her appearance like a human girl, it would be no different from seeking death. Those mutated beasts would not have mercy for these young girls. There were only fights between life and death. Like now, half of her body was covered with scales, which could greatly increase Claire¡¯s survival ability. Not only Claire, even the mutated sea turtle had now stepped into the threshold of a Level 5 mutated beast. Although it had faintly shown signs of breaking through to a Level 4 mutated beast before it left the island with Gray. Now its body was a size bigger than before, and even the shell that had been blasted apart by the nuclear weapon was now as good as new. There were no signs of cracks at all. Its appearance was also greatly different from before. The thick, khaki-colored turtle shell was firmly protecting its body. Its pair of marble-like eyes kept rolling randomly from time to time, as if it was thinking of some bad idea. At a glance, one could see its cleverness. And at this moment¡ ¡°Ta, ta, ta¡¡± As the earth continued to shake, an unspeakable sense of oppression came from the horizon in the distance. It was the aura of a predator from the top of the food chain. ¡°Roar, roar¡¡± Two roars sounded at the same time. The giant turtle and Claire seemed to have sensed something. The human and the beast looked at each other and sped up towards outside. In the next minute, a nine-meter-long steel beast was imprinted into the eyes of the man and the beast. ¡°Roar, roar¡¡± Amidst the continuous roars, the giant turtle seemed to be expressing joy. It also seemed to be expressing welcome. Claire, who was following behind, stood silently at the side, staring at him without blinking. Gray slightly nodded, but he let his two companions stay by the side first. He didn¡¯t have time to engage in such formality right now. He just wanted to take a good rest. After all, he had been hunting all day long lately and trying to go deep into the sea. He hadn¡¯t had a good rest for several days. And this was only a small part of the training. In order to improve the hit rate of the Steel Tail, Gray tried to control the magnetic field he was in, throwing stones high into the sky, and then using his tail to break them one by one. Moreover, Gray would use his tail to turn the shattered stones into powder one by one. The tail was his most lethal weapon now, other than the Dragon¡¯s Breath. Therefore, he had to be as agile as his two claws. Moreover, he had to be able to shoot without missing a shot and win in a single strike. Moreover, in order to make his claws sharper and more lethal, Gray would often repeatedly grind his claws on the smooth stones like a human sharpening a knife. This was his daily routine now, just so that when he truly fought with the mutated giant shark, he would not be at a disadvantage. Based on his experience over the past few months, Gray had discovered a fact. That was, mutation and even evolution might allow these mutated beasts to possess astonishing skills and physiques. However, this ¡®strength¡¯ could only be used to bully existences weaker than them. If he met an existence of the same level or even stronger, then he would be destined to reveal his true form. That was why¡ Compared to other mutated beasts, his greatest advantage was his intelligence. This high level of intelligence was precisely the trump card that allowed him to survive among so many mutated beasts. Intelligence was often able to calm people down, to the point where they would make the most advantageous choice for themselves. As for what this choice was, of course, it was Gray¡¯s usual killing method. He would not be like other mutated beasts or the mythological dragons, sleeping after eating, eating after waking up, and waiting for time to settle down. He would cherish every minute and second of his life, constantly strengthening his actual combat training, and using it to strengthen himself. It would enrich his combat techniques, and make his killing methods more proficient. With the accumulation of time and effort, the heights that Gray could reach in the future were imaginable. However, while pursuing strength, Gray would not forget about his daily life. For example, Gray¡¯s habitat on Songba Island was near a mountain spring. Not only was there a clean water source, but there were also mutated fish that were rich in protein. This was the so-called killing two birds with one stone. ¡°Sorry to trouble you, Jaye¡¡± This Jaye was referring to Claire, who was slowly walking over not far away. Jaye was Gray¡¯s first love in his previous life. It was also the new name that Gray gave to this giant lizard girl. Claire was her previous life, and Jaye was her current life. The implication of this name was that Gray hoped that the girl in front of him would forget her previous life and live a good life in the current life. And now, after calling out to her, Gray was lazily lying on a large rock basking in the sun, pretending to be asleep. Not long after. ¡°Splash, splash.¡± Along the sound of gurgling water, clear spring water could be clearly seen flowing down from Gray¡¯s head. As for the tool used to hold the water, one could shockingly see the water hose in Jaye¡¯s hand. It was a treasure found in the wreckage of the armed helicopter. From top to bottom, it watered Gray¡¯s body. Then, she took out a banana leaf and carefully wiped Gray¡¯s body bit by bit.. Chapter 37 - Fierce Battle with the Mutated Giant Shark Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio She carefully washed the dirt and dried blood off Gray¡¯s body. This was the few tasks Gray had given to Jaye, accordingly to him. He didn¡¯t keep idle people. His followers needed to have their own chores. The mutated giant turtle helped him guard the habitat, water, and things around him. And this giant lizard girl helped Gray clean his body and patrol. However, there was one thing that had to be mentioned. Between he was simply rolling around in the lake on Komodo Island previously, and how Jaye carefully cleaned him bit by bit now, there was nothing comparable at all between the two. ¡ Time passed slowly, and in the blink of an eye, another half a month had passed. During this period of time, Gray and the others did not idle around. Just the Body Surface Breathing skill, Gray had also raised it to Level 7. Level 7 Body Surface Breathing seemed to have undergone a qualitative change. [ Body Surface Breathing (Level 7) ¡ª the surface of the body can breathe freely. Even in the depths of the ocean, one can swim freely. It is also able to support high-intensity battles in the depths of the ocean¡ ] Looking at the effects of the skill, Gray was quite satisfied. What he lacked was this kind of godly skill. This kind of skill that could support him in high-intensity battles in the depths of the ocean was very good. His current opponent, that mutated giant shark, could only be an existence that was not inferior to him. In fact, its mutated level might even be higher. If he did not have the means to support himself in the high-intensity battle at the bottom of the sea, then rushing forward rashly would be courting death. It would be the old lucky star was just tired of living. But now, the current situation was different from the past. The corners of Gray¡¯s mouth curled up slightly. He looked at the sea level not far away and also let out an extremely terrifying roar. The roar shook the sky, as if it was venting the dissatisfaction of the past few months. Countless sound waves continued to spread along with the sound. They spread rapidly at the bottom of the sea and on the surface of the water. Not long after Gray¡¯s earth-shattering roar sounded out, a response seemed to come from the far end of the sea. A huge wave that was several meters high was like a sharp sword heading in the direction of Gray¡¯s voice. That was the terrifying wave brought out by the back fin of the mutated giant shark. However, it was different from the back fin of an ordinary great white shark. From afar, the back fin of this mutated giant shark was actually close to two meters in size. It was truly terrifying. If it were any other ordinary mutated beast, they would have long retreated tactically and would have been scared shitless. However, he wouldn¡¯t. He was Gray, the future lord of the dragon. The proud bloodline in his bones wouldn¡¯t allow him to retreat in any battle. ¡°You b*stard, you actually dare to respond to me. Interesting¡¡± Licking the corners of his mouth, Gray revealed an unspeakable coldness. He was afraid that this giant shark wouldn¡¯t dare to come. He had been eyeing this delicious prey for a long time. Shark fins were a rare delicacy. If not for the fact that he could not guarantee that he would be able to swim freely in the sea, he would have killed his way there long ago. But now, with his Body Surface Breathing level raised to Level 7, all the problems had been solved¡ Grinning playfully, Gray also jumped from the cliff to the sea. Amidst the rising waves, a nine-meter-tall behemoth turned into a black shadow and rushed towards the direction of the mutated giant shark. However, at this moment, it was as if somewhat stunned, the mutated giant shark in the distance came to a sudden halt. It seemed to be both surprised and confused. Was this big guy¡¯s brain not working properly? He actually dared to jump into the sea like this. However, this did not prevent him from having a sumptuous meal today. After all, he had picked up something for nothing. ¡°Rumble.¡± Suddenly, the sea was split into two by the shark¡¯s dorsal fin. The entire mutated giant shark swept over like an unsheathed sharp blade¡ This mutated giant shark was very powerful. From afar, it might not be able to sense anything. But now, as he got closer and closer, Gray saw its appearance clearly. He was surprised to find that this mutated giant shark¡¯s body size was no less than his nine-meter-long giant body. It was even slightly bigger than him. Looking at the giant shark charging at him, Gray was not a fool. It was more like he was already prepared. His Steel Tail, which controlled the magnetic field, had long been prepared. It was also hidden in the depths of the sea, and suddenly rolled up. ¡°Rumble.¡± Endless strength, accompanied by the rolling of the sea water, a tail, which seemed to be made of steel, ruthlessly smashed toward the mutated giant shark. ¡°Bang!¡± A loud sound reverberated across the dark seabed. Accompanying it was the body of the mutated giant shark that was sent flying backwards. Fresh blood that looked like a fountain dyed the surroundings red. No matter how much the mutated giant shark evolved, its attacking methods were still as simple as before. It only relied on the speed of its charge and use its sharp teeth to cut its prey. However, Gray was completely different. He was an ancient giant lizard. The ability to swing an steel tail that weighed more than 10 tons was what he relied on. The tail was his real weapon. The unattractive tail had a force that was more than 10 times more terrifying than his bite force. Now, this lash had stunned the overlord that had dominated the ocean for decades. ¡°Who am I? Where am I? What do I want to do?¡± However, this was only the beginning. Following the principle of taking advantage of one¡¯s illness to take one¡¯s life, Gray suddenly sped up and pounced towards the giant shark that had yet to recover. The waves were turbulent, and a black shadow quickly shuttled through the depths of the ocean. Soon after¡ ¡°Roar, roar, roar¡¡± However, it was more like an infrasound wave of mental attacks. That was the hissing sound of the mutated giant shark. As time passed, the attacks from both sides became more and more terrifying. As they exchanged blows, both sides¡¯ bodies were filled with wounds of varying sizes. Gray¡¯s sharp claws tore open a tire-sized wound on the back fat skin of the mutated giant shark, bringing out a five-feet long bloody flesh. The mutated shark was not at a disadvantage at all. Its huge mouth, which was the size of a small car, bit down hard on Gray. Gray, who was normally unscathed when hunting, had scales that were like fine iron. In front of the mutated shark, he was indeed so fragile. With a tearing sound of bloody flesh, the terrifying sharp teeth of the giant shark pierced through Gray¡¯s scales, biting off a large piece of bloody flesh. After suffering the pain, Gray refused to give up. The thick blood on the scene stimulated his nerves, and the sudden sharp pain reminded him that he had to end the battle quickly. His entire person seemed to have gone berserk, and with a backhand heavy tail, he pushed the shark back a few meters. The shark that was suffering the pain was reluctant to lose either. There was a consciousness in its bones that told it that after eating the big guy on the opposite side, one would be able to obtain a qualitative ascension. The current Gray was like a walking monk¡¯s meat to him. But will Gray be butchered easily? The answer is obvious.. Chapter 38 - A Life and Death Battle Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio In the depths of the ocean, the life and death battle between the two undersea monsters continued. The mutated giant shark¡¯s eyes turned red from the pain. Its entire body seemed to have gone berserk as it charged straight at Gray. Just as it was about to reach Gray, Gray was about to counterattack. ¡°Zi zi zi¡¡± Suddenly, an electromagnetic sound pierced through Gray¡¯s brain and exploded in his mind. It was as if a 100-pound hammer had hit Gray¡¯s brain. Gray was completely stunned. ¡°Why did this happen all of a sudden¡¡± In his shock, Gray was completely stunned. Where did this ear piercing sound come from? Thinking of this, Gray¡¯s eyes were focused. [ Infrasonic Strike ¡ª a unique organ that evolved from a mutated giant shark. It can carry out infrasound attacks at close range. This ability is too strange, making it impossible for the opponent to guard against it¡ ] Gray, who had used up a small amount of his psychic energy and had seen through the source of this mysterious power, felt the corner of his eyes twitch violently. What the hell? Who would have thought that a shark had mutated in this direction? Wasn¡¯t this like how a warrior who played a game had learned a mage combat technique that was completely different from his own? Generally speaking, it was not realistic at all. He had really been bitten by a dog. While cursing in his heart, Gray inadvertently caught a glimpse of a fast-moving black shadow from the corner of his eye. Without realizing it, that mutated giant shark had to his side. It opened its huge mouth that was like an abyss and bit down viciously at Gray¡¯s neck, as if it wanted to give Gray the sharpest blow and to make him perish here. Seeing the mutated giant shark that was right in front of him, Gray didn¡¯t regain his senses for a moment. ¡°Kacha¡¡± Then, with a fierce sound, even the chain armor on Gray¡¯s body trembled. In the next moment, a sharp pain spread from his neck to his entire body. ¡°D*mn it!¡± The roar of pain reverberated in area of the sea. Enduring the pain, Gray once again used his tail to pull back the mutated giant shark and suddenly bit at it. He wasn¡¯t someone who would admit defeat. As existences of the same level, their battles were this simple and yet primitive. Sharp claws torn apart, powerful bites¡ However, these simple attacks were exceptionally terrifying when they landed on a giant mutated beast like them. Even the surrounding seawater was stirred up in circles. If this was on land, it was likely that even a radius of a few hundred meters would be shaken. Fortunately this was in the depths of the ocean. No matter how intense the battle was, the commotion here was much smaller¡ Not long after, seawater mixed with fresh blood flowed continuously from the nasal cavity and mouth into the stomach. Gray¡¯s mouth was also slightly cracked from the fighting. This life and death battle was about to come to an end from Gray¡¯s point of view, who had been hunting countless times. Both sides were already riddled with injuries. Although this mutated giant shark¡¯s strength wasn¡¯t weak and was at least on the same level as him in the sea, it couldn¡¯t withstand the fact that this giant shark didn¡¯t have any intelligence when it went berserk. It was completely like a wild beast that had gone mad. If he wanted to end it earlier, he could have ended this battle earlier when he used his steel tail to knock out the giant shark for the first time. However, Gray did not do that. He wanted to see how strong his body was. That was why he had started this kind of irregular life and death fight with the giant shark. He also wanted to experience the feeling of fighting with the flesh of a mutated beast of the same level. From the results so far, the actual situation was indeed pretty good. It could be said that he was completely satisfied. Even though waves of intense pain were coming from the wounds all over his body, it was still difficult to hide the excitement in Gray¡¯s heart. However, it was time to end this. If this dragged on any longer, there might be some complications. Gray could vaguely feel that his body was already showing signs of shock due to excessive bleeding. Moreover, his physical strength was also being used up extremely quickly in this vast and boundless sea. His remaining physical strength might not be able to support the high intensity battle like before. After all, the giant lizard was a land reptile. He had to maintain at least 30% of his physical strength in order to return to land from the bottom of the sea that was thousands of meters deep. Therefore¡ Gray¡¯s eyes focused as he looked at the mutated giant shark that was not far away and was once again biting at him. His face also revealed a cold expression. ¡°Although I¡¯ve ¡®played¡¯ with you very happily, this is also your last chance. I hope you¡¯ll cherish it¡¡± While muttering softly, Gray swung his tail fiercely and once again used his steel tail to ram towards the mutated giant shark. ¡°Rumble¡¡± With a muffled sound, the surrounding seawater kept rolling backwards towards Gray¡¯s back. A 15-ton giant tail slammed fiercely towards the giant shark. The mutated giant shark, which had long lost its rationality, was hit by this sudden blow until its head was dizzy. It stood rooted to the ground in a daze, trying to alleviate the dizziness in its head. However, at this moment, Gray suddenly stretched out his claws and grabbed the mutated giant shark¡¯s big mouth. In an instant, Gray forcefully pried open the giant shark¡¯s big mouth. ¡ The mutated giant shark felt its mouth being pried open while it was dizzy. Its biological instinct told it to quickly break free, or else it would lose its life. The mutated giant shark¡¯s body continued to struggle, and the force from its huge body almost made Gray¡¯s claws unable to hold on. However, before the giant shark could continue to struggle, Gray¡¯s throat began to turn red. Behind his body, a scarlet light was already slowly rising from his back, bit by bit, until it reached his throat. Until, Gray opened his mouth and a scarlet light was locked in his throat, and in the next moment¡ ¡°Rumble¡¡± With an earth-shattering sound, a red pillar of light the size of a bowl shot out from Gray¡¯s mouth, ruthlessly shooting towards the giant mutated shark¡¯s opened mouth. Not a single blade of grass left wherever the red pillar of light went. When the seawater came into contact with it, it instantly turned into steam. ¡°Roar!!!¡± As if it was the last sorrowful cry, the mutated giant shark¡¯s entire body trembled when it came into contact with the red beam of light. Looking through its huge mouth, one could actually see the evaporating water vapor behind its back, the blue seawater that was constantly filling up the gaps, and the flesh and blood that were scattered all over the place. The strong body of this Level 9 mutated giant shark had actually been penetrated through by Gray¡¯s Dragon¡¯s Breath. Such power was unimaginable, and it was even more shocking. Perhaps even if the most advanced missiles of humans were brought here, they would only be this powerful. However, the reality was right before Gray¡¯s eyes. It could only be said that this Dragon¡¯s Breath was indeed worthy of being the innate talent of the ancient bloodline. This power was indeed terrifying. Wherever it was, this mutated shark which was considered an overlord of the ocean, was actually unable to fight back in front of this Dragon¡¯s Breath.. Chapter 39 - Target, Peak Level 9 Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio At this moment, looking at this mutated giant shark, he was shocked to discover that the light in its eyes was gradually dimming¡ ¡°Hehe¡ looks like you¡¯re not good enough¡¡± With a smug smile, Gray bit on the mutated giant shark¡¯s body and swam towards the island. He had never tasted a mutated giant beast of the same level. He wondered how this mutated giant shark would taste like. Moreover, when he was a human, he had heard of shark fins¡ But he had never really eaten them. Now, he could eat to his heart¡¯s content¡ About half an hour later, on a beach on the shore of Songba Island. Under the delighted gazes of Jaye and the mutated giant turtle, a nine-meter-long black giant lizard gradually swam out of the sea. ¡°Roar¡¡± Amidst the excited roars, the mutated giant turtle was like a husky that had not seen its master for a long time. It ran over and licked Gray¡¯s face crazily. However, Gray pushed the giant turtle away with disdain. He tore off more than half of the giant shark¡¯s body behind him and handed it to the giant turtle and Jaye. ¡°This is all for you. This is good stuff. You have to finish it¡¡± Saying that, Gray threw the torn piece of meat to the mutated giant turtle and Jaye. As his followers, the two of them were very serious in their work. He didn¡¯t need so much meat to obtain evolution points. This kind of meat was very beneficial to mutated creatures. He gave more to the two people who were lower in level. Smiling in his heart, Gray dragged the bloody corpse of the mutated giant shark and walked to a corner of the beach not far away. Although he didn¡¯t mind eating in front of outsiders, as a human in his previous life, Gray was still used to eating alone and elegantly. ¡°Kacha, kacha¡¡± Bite after bite, Gray didn¡¯t hesitate to fill up his huge belly, which had become hungry due to the fight. However, right at this moment¡ ¡°Ding dong, it has been detected that the host is devouring the flesh of a Level 9 mutated giant shark. Obtained 900 evolution points¡¡± The clear and melodious sound of the notification rang out at the right time, causing the corners of Gray¡¯s mouth to twitch slightly. A total of 900 evolution points¡ It wasn¡¯t a waste of the effort he had put in to kill the mutated giant shark. This reward wasn¡¯t low at all. Moreover¡ As he devoured the flesh of the mutated giant shark in large mouthfuls, Gray felt an indescribable strange energy rapidly surging into his body. Under the baptism of this energy, Gray¡¯s scarred body was slowly recovering and improving. Although the progress was slow, Gray could feel it. It was better than nothing. ¡°This high-level mutated creature¡¯s flesh and blood not only tastes extremely delicious, but also has such a miraculous effect¡¡± After finishing his meal, Gray straightened his thick body and leisurely walked in the direction of Jaye and the mutated giant turtle. Following Gray¡¯s gaze, he discovered that Jaye¡¯s body trembled, as though she was enduring some great pain. However, at the next moment¡ ¡°Rip¡¡± With a crisp sound, a two-meter-long tail stained with emerald-green blood extended out from her back. ¡°Oh? This evolution actually grew a tail? Not bad¡¡± Gray couldn¡¯t help but be a little speechless as he quietly sized up the giant lizard girl, Jaye. At first, she had green scales, and then she had cold beast eyes that were like bloodthirsty beasts. Now, she had even grown the giant lizard race¡¯s iconic tail. All sorts of signs indicated that the girl¡¯s beast transformation was getting more and more serious. However, from a certain point of view, it could also prove that Jaye¡¯s innate talent was indeed not bad. In the myths of some countries on Blue Planet in his previous life, some humans became stronger and could constantly transform into beasts. The higher the degree of the beast transformation, the stronger they became. However, some animals continued to evolve, and they were getting closer to humans. The more they looked like humans, the more terrifying their hidden strength was. Humans yearned for the beauty and strength of beasts. As for beasts, they yearned for the wisdom and attitude of humans. Looking at the situation in front of him, Gray didn¡¯t pay too much attention to it. Instead, he continued to leisurely climb back onto the familiar boulder, basking in the sun today. Although the meat of this Level 9 mutated giant shark didn¡¯t taste very good, the strength contained within was indeed very abundant. For example, Jaye had only eaten a small piece of the meat, and she had already begun its fifth evolution. As for the giant turtle, as it continued to eat, its aura became stronger and stronger. As such, one could naturally imagine how terrifying the energy contained within this flesh and blood was. Looking at the harmonious scene in front of him, Gray was also deep in thought. ¡°If I can devour the flesh and blood of this high-level mutated creature every day, even if I don¡¯t rely on this so-called evolution point, I feel that I will be able to advance one step further and become an even more powerful existence¡¡± While muttering softly, Gray also had a guess. However, at this moment, as if he had thought of something, Gray was slightly startled. Take another step? If he took another step, what would happen? The tenth mutation? Level 10? Or¡ After a period of silence, Gray felt as though his current body had grown to its limit. Just the strength of his two claws alone was already as high as nine tons. If he used the Steel Tail, the strength would be so great that it would probably be able to overturn the earth¡ Therefore¡ What would happen to the next mutation? Gray didn¡¯t know. However, one thing was for sure. If there really was a next mutation, then Gray would definitely undergo a qualitative transformation. Time flew by swiftly. In the blink of an eye, more than half a month had passed. During this period of time, through his continuous efforts, Gray¡¯s body had grown another size bigger, reaching an astonishing 10 meters! Compared to half a month ago, it had grown by a section. And his pitch-black scale armor was suffused with an indescribable dark glow. If it was in a dark place where there was no light, even Gray¡¯s figure wouldn¡¯t be able to see clearly. That astonishing body contained a terrifying strength that others didn¡¯t know about. ¡°My current situation should be considered the limit of a Level 9 mutated beast.¡± Looking at himself in the lake, the corners of Gray¡¯s mouth curled up, revealing a human-like sneer. Gray knew that he was already invincible among the Level 9 mutated beasts. Moreover, his abilities in all aspects had already reached the peak. However, there were some abilities that he didn¡¯t need, so Gray didn¡¯t persist in advancing them to Level 9. After all, evolution points didn¡¯t come from a strong wind. No matter how much he used, it would be reduced bit by bit. For example, after possessing the Dragon¡¯s Breath, the Venom which was much weaker in comparison, it would be enough to upgrade it to a usable level.. Chapter 40 - Plan, Origin Recovery Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio If he didn¡¯t have the Dragon¡¯s Breath which was the talent of origin, Gray would have used the Poison Spray, the only long-range skill, and Venom, which could increase the lethality of poison, as his core talents and upgraded them quickly. However, with the Level 9 Dragon¡¯s Breath, these two abilities weren¡¯t that important anymore. They were more useful as support abilities. Right now, he was at a critical period of development. He needed to carefully consider the usage of each evolution point. This was related to the speed of his growth. ¡°It¡¯s already been a few months. It¡¯s time for me to return to Komodo Island to hunt.¡± As he was speaking softly, Gray started to think about the thought hidden in his mind. During these few months, the calling of bloodline had been tormenting him. He had already given Komodo Island three months. According to the novels in his previous life, in this era of Reiki recovery, not only would animals mutate, even plants would grow faster. Three months was enough for Komodo Island, which had been baptized by nuclear weapons, to be revitalized once again. Why was Gray so confident? Other things aside, the Songba Island where he was now was covered with trees and ancient trees. The hundred-year-old trees that were hard to find in the human world in the past were indeed everywhere on the island. They were more than enough to be used as firewood. Therefore, one could imagine how fast these plants were evolving. Majestic vitality was surging and growing in the wind. For many mutated herbivores, it was also a rare opportunity. One after another¡ Gray noticed that many herbivores were mutating one after another. Take the hare as an example. Its running speed was even more terrifying. Its reaction was also very sharp. As soon as there was a slight movement, it immediately disappeared without a trace. Some of the carnivores that could not keep up with the speed of these herbivores were unable to catch these mutated herbivores. They had already become extinct on Songba Island and had disappeared without a trace. This was the survival of the fittest in nature. The survival of the fittest was the law of survival which would never change. Perhaps after a period of time, the entire Blue Planet might no longer be able to find anymore wild animals that did not mutate. ¡°This era of the revival of all living things is really worth looking forward to¡¡± Gray¡¯s eyes revealed a burning yearning as he looked at the Komodo Island not far away. After the human and beast had evolved, Gray did not hesitate and immediately left. However, this time, he did not bring along the mutated giant turtle and the young girl, Jaye. Instead, he returned to the Komodo Island alone. This time, it was for the recovery of his bloodline! Although, as time continued to pass, coupled with the fact that he was constantly providing the flesh and blood of all sorts of high-level mutated creatures to support his body, his bloodline was also continuously being recovered. Now, it had reached an astonishing 40%. However, Gray did not like this long wait. Gray preferred to take the initiative to attack. He was 100% certain that he would succeed. If he could plunder the Komodo giant lizard and accelerate his own transformation, then why wouldn¡¯t he do this beautiful job himself? ¡°Roar!¡± With a roar, a huge shadow had already passed through the ancient forest and was charging straight towards the Komodo Island. Wherever it passed by, the tyrannical force broke one ancient tree after another. It was like a bulldozer, and it was indescribably terrifying. However, just as Gray was preparing to hunt the Komodo mutated giant lizard and recover his bloodline¡ it was pouring on a large island not far away from Gray. The rain came very suddenly. The humans who had suddenly arrived on the island were unable to react in time. However, very few people noticed that the rain seemed to be different from usual. ¡°Do you guys feel it? The weather is making me very depressed. There¡¯s an indescribable frustration.¡± ¡°Sigh, it¡¯s a rainy day¡ Moreover, it hasn¡¯t been very peaceful recently. It¡¯s normal to be depressed.¡± ¡°Indeed. A few days ago, another mutated animal attacked people. A family of three died tragically¡ and there¡¯s also a baby who has just reached the full moon.¡± ¡°So¡ the higher-ups asked us to move our families to the city in the center of the island¡ They even strengthened the defense¡ I hope nothing bad will happen.¡± ¡°Nothing will happen for sure.¡± One after another, the people on the entire island were also discussing. These were the people of the West Asian country. Not far away, Komodo Island, Songba Island, and other islands were all the territory of the West Asian country. In the past, the entire West Asian country had beautiful scenery and was a coastal holy land, so the tourism industry could be said to be prosperous. But now¡ The world was changing, and countless animals and plants were changing at a speed visible to the naked eye. This made the entire West Asian country even more dangerous. After all, the West Asian country was not as simple as a coastal country. They were an island country surrounded by the sea, and there were countless wild animals lurking in the jungle. What did this mean? No one knew. However, tonight¡ Under the pitch-black night sky, ¡°Roar, roar, roar¡¡± Roar after roar sounded. Countless mutated animals were grimacing in pain. Even the depths of their eyes had an additional deep red color. Their blood was gushing out¡ Their hearts were becoming increasingly violent¡ An indescribable feeling surged into their hearts. At this moment, if one were to look over, one would discover that on the entire island, countless mutated animals were slowly raising their eyes and looking towards the city deep within the island. The instinct of animals was to prey on the weak. And humans, compared to mutated animals, were naturally the weak. Moreover, humans were many¡ Hence, tens of thousands of mutated beasts simultaneously rushed towards the brightly lit city¡ But that¡¯s not all. ¡°Caw, caw, caw.¡± Crows were cawing and eagles were flying. Under the boundless night, a big dark cloud unexpectedly appeared. This cloud was different from the normal cloud. It¡¯s a flock of mutated birds. And now, their eyes were red, suffused with unspeakable violence. And the eyes were fixed on the city of bright light¡ ¡°Ah¡¡± A shrill scream suddenly cut through the night sky. It was a pedestrian walking on the road. He held his neck and slowly fell to the ground. ¡°What happened? What¡¯s wrong? Hey, hey¡¡± Gasps sounded one after another. Countless people looked in the direction in shock. But in the next moment, under the shocked gazes of countless people, a fist-sized crow actually drilled out from underneath this person¡¯s body. The sharp claws of this crow were still stained with scarlet blood. ¡°No¡ It can¡¯t be!¡± With a face full of disbelief, a girl was so frightened that she continuously retreated. However, before she could retreat even further, ¡°Caw, caw, caw, caw¡¡± The flock of mutated crows that blotted out the sky and covered the earth had already descended from the sky. In an instant, a corner of this city was submerged in an endless clamor. Crows were cawing and humans were screaming¡ And the countless broken glass, as well as the shrill cry and the roar..
